    Very nice video I have learned a lot thank you, I am new for 3D printing, I have a same 3D printer I am trying to design a small gear for my old SONY walkman it requires a very strong gear to handling a large torque from the motor, could you please provide the correct settings for the ENDER-3 printer? I am using PLA.

    I think you for the content. It is very helpful for a newbie like myself. How do I zoom without a mouse roller. My laptop has the touchpad style mouse?

      Sorry for the late reply, I'm glad my content is helpful. Did you figure out the hotkey to zoom in? I'm pretty sure you can use the +/- arrows in the top right or left corner to zoom in or out.

    Very helpful, the only thing is a lot of the files in Thingiverse when downloaded are in obj and have to covert to Stl before loading the file into Cura.

    So I came from using Matter Control which no longer works on my mac. So now I have cura and I am having trouble with my prints printing above the bed or in mid air. Any suggestions?

    I am new to 3D printing. I set the coordinates to (0,0,0) but while printing it goes to the end of the printing bed and prints on the corner, with material falling down. Can you help me with how to correct it? I am using the same software with elegoo neptune 3.

    I took some stl files from thingiverse, sliced them with cura and wanted to print them with an Artillery Hornet. Although I did the same steps and kept the same settings for all of them, at some the extruder starts way up, 1-2 mm, and it prints in the air whitout material. I leveled the bed previously, but when starts printing goes up 1-2 mm. Thank you for your attention.

      I just had this problem with the Creality CR10S Pro V2. I leveled the bed at least 5 times between manual leveling before the print and leveling while it was printing the brim. On this printer, I realized there's a z-axis offset in the print options menu that brought the nozzle down closer to the bed for printing. I'm not sure what the problem is or where it originates from (presumably a setting in Cura I missed), but bringing that offset up from -1.98mm to -1.40mm fixed my issue.

    What happens if your drag a file over and it’s only showing a shadow at the base and not the whole STL

    I noticed when i was researching (i dont have a printer yet just in my research) and something had no way to change the currency type. I think it was Cura.

    • @darkcustomxxx7252
      @darkcustomxxx7252 ปีที่แล้ว

      anything with at least Intel i5 and up in something like a Lenovo will do it. Then pick the RAM and GIG to suit your budget. 8g with 256 or 512, etc.. I really don't think you need to go up the gaming path with the serious graphics cards and stuff.

    What am I doing wrong? After slicing it only gives me the option to "save to disk"

  • @Kotaztrafee
    @Kotaztrafee 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So this is probably the most remedial question you're going to get. So anything I want to print is going to be a file from a different program like CAD? I do not design my item on Cura? I have to learn CAD?

    • @509drone2
      @509drone2  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      This is correct. Sorry for the late reply brother. You DO NOT have to design your own prints though. You can download & print ANY STL file that you can find. Cura is just the "slicing" program. Once you have your design (aka STL file) you bring it into Cura and that is where you set your settings that are unique to your printer. Things like temperature, speed, etc. Hopefully you have already got a printer, and have been printing by now :) Let me know how it goes.

      Etsy also has a lot of cool stl files for $. Or Thingiverse has lots of cool stl files for free. But there are free 3D modeling apps you can play with if you want like Fusion 360 and Blender.

    • @ChinaAl
      @ChinaAl 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@509drone2 Nothing specific right now. I got the gist I've been on S3D for a long time but I recently replaced my Ender 5 with this newer Kywoo Tycoon Max snd it comes with Cura. Cura has changed a lot so I decided to find out everything I can and maybe try it again. Thanks . Your video was pretty good other than the few areas blocked. Changed my thumbs-down to a thumbs-up

      You tell the printer to print now! ….. he actually said you save the file to your sd card which goes into the printer. I think he said it 2-3 times as a beginner.
