The Search for Billy the Kid - New Evidence - William V. Morrison's first letter to Brushy Bill

  • I'm a little long winded in this one but you are going to want to stay until the end (post-credits). For many years I was secretly in touch with the daughter of William V. Morrison who discovered Brushy Bill Roberts in Hico, TX and she guided me to secret archives and private collections that contained unpublished TRUTH about Brushy Bill Roberts. In this video I discuss the circumstances of the very first contact between Morrison and Brushy Bill and debunk a lot of the ridiculous arguments that attempt to discredit Brushy Bill's claim of being the one authentic Billy the Kid of legend. Also discussed is Jessie Evans/ Joe Hines, J. Frank Dalton who claimed to be Jesse James, and more. I hope you like it.

    And the governor was liable for Brushy's death from the sneak media circus he assaulted him with. The trauma likely destroyed what was left of his health leading to his death three weeks later.

    Just watched your video and just received your book. BTW...as you so noted in your video, we may be distant cousins. My ggrandfather was Gaston Eggbert Edward's. You never know...lol. Anyway, I love history, I love your book and your videos and I'm a believer in the story of Brushy Bill. My father just passed in May at 93 yrs and 10 Mos of age. He did not look older than 60. He knew so much about his own life and told many stories before he died, but he would sometimes forget the names of important people in his life like General Milly and Strom Thurmond while telling a story. That is normal. Brushy Bill was the same in recounting his own life experiences. People should not use that to discredit him. I appreciate your content.

      @@aliasbillythekid : William V Morrison certainly had Good Reason 2 bring his young daughter Barbara along with him, Daniel: Barbara recalled the entire experience as if it happened just yesterday! She said matter-of-factly that her father took photos of Brushy's Scars, as if it was a 'given,' that Photos would be snapped of Brushy's Scars, sans pants & all😳👀🥇‼️
      Can ANYONE explain how this poor rural Cowboy with no Social Security number nor income, happened 2 accumulate just the right types of scars in just the right places, exactly coincidental 2 thee very same type of Scars that The Kid was purported 2 have accumulated😳👀??
      Those Exact Right Scars in all the Exact Right Places Tell the Tale; Cold-Case Closed: Pat Murdered Billy Barlow. History was standing before Barbara & William V Morrison, and Morrison KNEW it; and Barbara was convinced too😳👀✅.
      ...and if those photographed scars aren't enough, then offer up to all those websites & Garrett true-believers Irreversible Evidence that Billy the Kid died on 27 Dec 1950, and not on the night of 14 Jul 1881.
      William V Morrison tracking down Brushy among a bunch of Tumbleweeds in rural West Texas was No Accident, and Brushy had 2 be IMPRESSED by Morrison, enough to confide ALL to both He & Barbara.
      ...and further, in the same vein, Barbara had 2 be IMPRESSED with Daniel Edwards' investigative detail with equal measure, confiding ALL in such an humble, mild-mannered writer, SINCERE & FORTHRIGHT, in EVERY SINGLE WAY✅🥇🌎
      "Where in the World 🌎 is Carmen San Diego?" ...Morrison Found Him✅ ...and Daniel Edwards Re-Found Him thru Barbara, revealing what all those rumors had been hinting at all these years: ONLY The Kid would've known that those handcuffs & leg irons hanging on display in the old Lincoln County Courthouse were NOT the ones that Gauss had split down the middle with his axe.

    Anyone ever read Bill "O'Reilly's book, Legend and Lies: The Real Wild West? Bill O"Reilly does indeed suggest that there is more evidence that supports that Brushy Bill was indeed Billy the Kid then not. There was also, a TV series on Fox News, and describes the supposed killing by Pat Garrett from Brushy Bill's POV. I haven't read the book yet(Plan to buy it soon, and read it). They also mentioned that Paulita Maxwell, Billy's Girlfriend, may have been pregnant with his child. But that was literally all that was said. Also, it may have been Paulita's own Brother that tipped Garrett off , to Billy's whereabouts! Was this ever talked about? Was Paulita being pregnant with Billy's child ever talked about? Did anyone ever see the Unsolved Mysteries segment in 1989, about Brushy Bill? Also, why do the Courts keep blocking the two graves from being exhumed?

    Since Morrison was able to prove in a court of law that Joe Hines was someone else, is there a case/docket number/official court paperwork from the court in North Dakota showing this?

    • @aliasbillythekid
      @aliasbillythekid  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      We dont have the details for Joe Hines unfortunately. I think Morrison protected his privacy. If you would have asked me months ago I would have said the source is Alias Billy the Kid but Morrison doesnt refer to Joe Hines explicitly as Jesse Evans. According to Morrison Hines revealed himself as a participant in the Lincoln County War which motivated him to seek out Roberts but we dont have any more details that were publicly shared. He does reference him in private correspondence, however. I was curious about your comment because I don't use that phrase in this video. I went back and checked and I did use it in the description for my book and that description hasn't changed since it was published over 9 years ago. The intention of that was to say that Hines had to prove his identity to inherit. Your question is phrased as though Morrison was trying to prove Hines was Evans. That is not the case. He wasn't trying to prove anything to the court, Morrison was representative of the court and the appointed probate investigator FOR the court, and Morrison was convinced Hines was Evans. Thus, Hines proved his identity to the court according to what Morrison shared with us in Alias. Not much is known about Evans. All those guys used aliases back then, Billy Wilson, etc. etc. etc. What is interesting to me is how would Ollie Roberts from Texas know this random old timer in Pensacola and how would both of them know all about the Lincoln County War and Billy the Kid.

    As in your book, and what I had learned years ago, Brushy Bill had all the same scars from knife and bullet wounds Billy had. I don't honestly know another human being, that would purposely get shot up and knifed just to claim they were Billy the kid. I truly believe Brushy Bill was Billy the kid. @aliasbillythekid  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I think you missed the point which is that its not credible either way. "Heresay" is not admissable evidence. People throw around the argument that Brushy's "family" (one distant niece) said Oliver wasnt Billy (which we agree with because Oliver wasnt Brushy) but ignore that multiple relatives of Garrett, including his daughter said he didnt kill him. Brushy's wife, which certainly counts as family, did believe him. I think the way some use the line "his own family" is intellectually dishonest.
