This was a great video. I just got mine today and wasn't sure if I needed to add the extra included flange or not. Your video was extremely helpful. Thank you!
Thanks for the great feedback!! Just a note if you didn't see it in other comments, you don't need to stack the flange inserts, just pick the size you need and use that 😊
I am so sorry for the misinformation, but you do not need to stack the flange inserts for the M5. Just pick the correct size and insert that into the flange 😊 If you weren't getting a lot of milk, just make sure your parts don't need replacing and that the seals are all firm.
Swear its true, im sitting here with my newborn crying, reading the instructions for 3rd time now with unclear stupid images shortly before a mental breakdown. Im so glad i found your Video makes my mum life easier thank you sm ❤❤❤
Omgosh I didn't know you had to slide the lip of the diaphragm OVER that piece or that you had to stack the flange inserts! I think my experience is about to be enhanced just with these two changes!! Thank you so much for this video!!
So glad it was helpful!! I do have to apologize though, you actually do not need to stack the inserts for the M5 like I said in the video! Simply use the 1 flange insert with the correct size you need. But yes you definitely want the lip of the diaphragm to slide over as that will help ensure your suction is working properly :)
Thank you for the very informative video! Just to clarify, we need to stack the different size flanges until we get to our correct size or do we simply insert our correct size into the breast shield?
Thanks so much for the question! And so sorry for the confusion, this was my error, if you are using the Momcozy M5 flange inserts you do NOT need to stack them, simply choose the correct flange insert size and insert that into the breast shield.
So if my flange size is 17 mm, do i have to insert the 21 and top of it the 19 and on top of it the 17 ??? If someone can answer me , because this Looks confusing
Sorry that was my error in this video. You do not need to stack the flange inserts with the M5. Simply use the 1 flange insert with the correct size you need.
Thanks for asking! There are a few ways to know your pump in on properly and the flange is the correct fit other than just a visual. These include: You're not experiencing pain in your nipple or discolloration (i.e. a white circle at the base of the nipple or your nipple blanched). You can also feel to make sure that there are no areas of the breast that still have milk inside (which indicates the uneven removal of milk). Hopefully this helps 😊
If needed, you can buy additional flange insert sizes via Momcozy on Amazon: amzn.to/46sEw40 (affiliate). They have size 15mm, 17mm, 19mm, 21mm, 24mm, 27mm available. These will insert into the 24mm flange, so you only need the insert in the correct size and that will fit into the flange.
I don't recommend this for elastic nipples as the flange tunnel is quite short. The S9 Pro or S12 Pro are the only Momcozy pumps I'd recommend for elastic nipples as the tunnel is much longer.
You need to have a seal between your skin and the flange to maintain suction. If the seal is broken, your pump won't work as effectively = less milk. You can use a bra to help firmly hold your pump in place 😊
Is it just at me or i dont even feel that is pulling or sucking any of the milk. I dont see no dron in the compartment. So i just paid some money to buy it for nothing. I have so much milk and this pump doesnt have any power to suck it out
Sorry youre having issues! If you're not getting any milk output, it sound like you may have an air leak or your flange sizing might not be right. If don't think either of these are an issue I'd reach out to Momcozy support as yiu should be getting some milk output.
Thank you so much for the informative video! Just a question, the guide says charge it before the first time use, and when I did, the charging dots looked solid! I’m confused does this mean it’s fully charged??
Thanks for your question! Yes when you have the 3 solid lines that means it is fully charged 😊 If it is still charging whilst plugged in they will light up one by one.
Thank you for your video. I am having leaking come in when I try to pump and I’m not sure why. The milk isn’t going inside the duckbill. I tried lining up with the hearts and milk is still staying inside the hole instead of going down.
I bought my M5 in February 2024 and mine has a timer. I just pushed the little recycle button one time after the screen goes dark and then it shows how many minutes I’ve been pumping.
Thanks so much for letting us know! That is great news if they have included it in the newer M5 pumps 😊 I did double check mine, just in case I missed it, but there is definitely no timer for my M5 pump.
Thanks for asking! The duckbill valve opens and closes with the suction created by the pump. So it will will open to allow the milk to flow through into the collection cup. If you pinch it the duckbill valve you can see it opens at the bottom :)
It is a mix of the shorter suctions from the stimulation mode and longer suctions of the expression mode. It can also vibrate at the same time to loosen the milk ducts when pumping - potential benefits are more milk faster and better drainage to help prevent mastitis or engorgement.
Firstly congratulations! And so glad the video helped with your decision process :) If you use my affiliate code PUMPINGMILK on the Momcozy website you'll also get 15% off if that helps (#ad)
Thanks for reaching out! Sorry you're having issues. My first step is to check all the seals and make sure it is assembled correctly. After that, start with your massage mode for 2 mins to initiate your letdown, then switch modes to your expression. Start on a low suction level and then slowly build up based on your comfort levels. The highest suction might not give you the best results. You may have to play around with the different settings to find what works best. Also make sure you are drinking plenty of water to help with milk production.
Hopefully, this does the trick for you! Just a note, I know I mentioned in the video to stack the flange inserts. You can actually just choose your correct size and use just the 1 flange insert 😊
Hi such a great video so helpful! FTM here...Can I sanitize all components by running it through my dish washer sanitation setting or should i sanitize by boiling the components.
Thanks for the great feedback! The M5 is not suitable for a dishwasher, microwave or heat sterilizer due to the soft silicone. Ideally you will boil it or use a sterilization solution like Milton amzn.to/3KTTNT0 (#ad)
The noise is less than 50dB. A library or very quiet office is 40 to 45dB. Normal conversation is 60dB. So, depending on how quiet your workplace is, you may or may not notice it.
Thanks so much for the lovely feedback!! Just a quick edit to the video - you do not need to stack your inserts - just choose the size you need and use that one :)
Great video, I’ve just purchased this - do you know if I can pump after 18 months of breastfeeding (I’ve never pumped before)? Or have I left it too late. Thanks
Yes, my kit came with the inserts 😊 Just as a note in the video, I said you need to stack your inserts, but you can actually just use the 1 insert with your correct size. No need to stack them.

You’re supposed to stack the flanges? I’m at 19mm
Sorry that was my error in the video! No you just need to have the 19mm insert that is compatible and that is placed securely into the flange.
Does anyone happen to have a good bra recommendation to use with this particular pump? I’ve been struggling to find a good one!

My daughter has bought these . Does anyone know if you can mix between breast milk and formula from birth.?
It's possible, but I highly recommend that your daughter speak with their health care professional and lactation consultant for specific advice.
Does the inserts that you showed in your video comes with it?
Yes, my kit came with the inserts 😊
Just as a note in the video, I said you need to stack your inserts, but you can actually just use the 1 insert with your correct size. No need to stack them.
