Your disclaimer at 12:03 is what I needed to hear 💛 my supply has tanked and little man hasn’t been gaining weight and I have been feeling so guilty and like I’ve failed him for not being able to give him ONLY my milk. ☺️
I think it was really to mention that, because, I too felt like that with my first! I felt like I had failed because I “formula fed” but he’s 7 now and he’s great! I think we’re all so hard on ourselves for no reason!! You’re doing amazing!!
When I was pregnant, one of my friends told me that breastfeeding would be the hardest, and it is very true! My baby is only 2 months old, and I have never been able to feed him exclusively with breastfeeding. Trying really, really hard (medication, supplements, drinking tons of water, eating healthy, daily walks etc.) and have been feeling like I have failed him too 😢
I pumped for 12months with my son and now I’m on month 5 with my daughter. I get about 14-16 ounces each session!!! I went from pumping every 2 hours to 3 hours to 4 hours and now I’m at every 5 hours. I set alarms on my phone and still wake up for my 230am session. Things I do is take my prenatals everyday, drink lots of water, add extra fat to my diet and pump for 25min-35min. I to have an over supply and I’ve already donated 3,600 ounces to the mothers milk bank of Ohio. One of my biggest accomplishments ❤
@@saimouni299 biggest tip is empty your breast frequently. The more you pump the higher your milk supply. Your sending signals to your brain that you need more milk! If your supply is low consider adding 1-2 more sessions a day. Nighttime pump sessions suck but you should be waking to pump even if your baby is sleeping through the night. Do not go on any crazy diets this will also reduce your supply. Moderate exercise is ok! They make lactation cookies, brownies and drinks that you can find on Amazon, target or Walmart. You can find recipes online if you prefer to make them and save money. That always gave me an extra boost when I needed it. Stay hydrated and make sure you are eating to make up for the extra calories being burned from pumping. I hope this helps you!!! ♥️
My supply tanked at 2 months. It took awhile to get it back. I power pumped several times a day for 2 weeks and it finally came back. Not going to lie, you question yourself if it’s worth it. I felt like I was going to go crazy. But…now I have a freezer stash and a 25 lb baby at 7 months lol.
Omg I have been watching so many pumping videos and not once did they mention to use the flange as a funnel! What a game changer tip as I have been spilling it when pouring it into the bags! Mind blown! Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for your disclaimer! It really means a lot that you know and said that, because I have struggled ever since I gave birth 6 weeks ago. I tried to breastfeed, but my baby's latch was so bad I was cracked and bleeding, and there were so many tears. I started pumping at 2 weeks, and my supply was so low I was supplementing formula a large majority of the day, and was so discouraged thinking I was failing my kid. I have since started a good routine, and my supply is up, and I think I'm at the point I have more supply than he is demanding, and haven't had to give formula in a while. But it is still good to hear you say that it doesn't matter how the baby is fed, as long as they are fed.
@Sakura_Jerayasama I made sure I had a regular and consistent pumping schedule, started eating enough calories (I don’t think I was initially eating enough to support breastfeeding), drinking a lot more water, and adding more oatmeal to my diet for a while, since it's supposed to help with milk production (by adding oatmeal, I mean I made lots of oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to snack on at all hours of the day, no joke 😅).
Wow! Thank you for this. I waa putting off eating oatmeal since I really don't like the texture but at this point I'm really down to try to eat and/or drink anything to up my milk supply. I'm currently 5 weeks pp and my total oz per session is only about 2 oz combined. So I'm honestly desperate at this point. May I ask what week did your milk supply increase?
@Sakura_Jerayasama I started pumping exclusively at 2 weeks, and it increased within 2-4 weeks (I can't remember exactly when, that period was honestly a blur lol).
THANK YOU! Really appriciate you showing us the real routine and the bad with the good, as we can all relate to imperfection and it is encouraging to know you are not alone!
I love that you’re a mom of multiple and showing us how you pump! I’ll be a mom of 2 in July and was worried about EP with 2. You’ve shown me that it is possible!!
I gave birth one month ago and had to pump because my baby was born prematurely. She didn't have enough energy to suck enough milk so she lost weight, with pumping I could at least give it with the bottle. I only pump 12 to 13 ounces (in total) even though i pump 10 times a day! I really didn't understand why as I really did my best, i had to supplement with formula. I now started nursing and pump a few times a day but when i pump i still only pump about 1 ounce every session. It's really discouraging when i see other moms with such a great supply and i can't even pump a few ounces per session. My record was 3 ounces in one session but only once or twice. I want to start a little stash for when I'm not at home but I barely complete a bottle for the night for my husband to give it to her.
@@milankaur6626 hey! I kept on going, i never gave up and fortunately at the end all my hard work payed off! My supply has gone up and my baby gained almost 6 kg's in 2 months.
@@meghana6142 don't get discouraged! As a little update.. I started exclusively nursing at around 3 months. I got courage when she gained some weight, so I talked with my lactation specialist and she said that it is time to leave the formula and start nursing exclusively which is what i wanted to do. It was a test, and after a week she was stronger and could suck herself, and now she is a 25 pound baby! She grew very fast with mother milk, and she is healthy! It is very frustrating I know, i cried, got angry, felt guilty i couldnt provide enough but at last.. everything worked out fine :)
Same here dear I am dealing with the same issue... Everyone around me keeps telling me how great their supply was and how they used to exclusively breastfeed but not with me.. I barely get almost 2 ounces even when I pump early morning. I breastfeed my baby putting him to breast more than 9 to 10 times a day but my supply still sucks... And my boobs and back both hurt. It's so discouraging
Game changer with the flange in the bag dealio! Glad I came across your page:)I got the freemie cups and take those on the go with my motif (any battery powered pump can work!) Much cheaper ;) $60 brand new! I got mine donated for free tho and just sterilized them. I hear that's not recommended but let's be real... most of us moms who pump are cleanly people. Some moms try it once, misplace the receipt and can't return it. So:) And it's been a game changer for me I don't have to stress if I go out. I just bring my backpack and can pump wherever I go! Anyways awesome video girl. Appreciate your honest approach!
Thank you for what you said @12:10. I am currently trying to bring my milk supply back up for my 3 month old and I have often felt like a failure when I’ve had to supplement with formula. I need to change that mindset.
So glad I found your channel, I’ve nursed 3 babies but my 4th I’m 4 weeks in now exclusively pumping. Not a journey I intended but I’m finding your videos so helpful thanks for sharing all your tips. I’d love to see a day in the life with how you work pumping around the kids and daily life please. Thanks also for the truth on missing pumps and engorgement #reallife!! And for the pep talk on doing all we can for our babies and not to be hard on ourselves 😭 I needed to hear that 💕
My period came back after delivering my premie baby (6 weeks early)....8 weeks later my period came back! My supply dropped 2 weeks before then and after cycles, it's been sooo low. I was making as much as this person before then. 🤷🏾♀️ Nothing I've done has improved it to even half of what I had before.
@@mariacheng4226 no rinse is needed, but if you want to you can. My milk was a bit fatty so sometimes if there was some milk left in the bottom of each pump part, I would rinse and then put in fridge, otherwise it could affect the suction from the membranes not being able to close shut. (I used medela pump parts)
@@mariacheng4226 you cannot do this if your baby is premature. There’s a risk of some bacteria growth. So decide if you are willing to take that risk or not.
I don't understand where one is supposed to find the time for all that pumping! I pump as well as breastfeed and I barely find time to pump twice per day.
Yes definitely am stressed out because I miss a pump or pump too late. My baby is 1 month and already had mastitis but I’ve also had my ducts clogged 3 times. I can’t
Great video! Watching as I pump haha. I would love to see a video on dropping pumps or weaning off the pump! Currently 3 months postpartum and I pump 6 times a day, but I have an oversupply and would love to drop down asap. I also stay up till 2am to get that last session in, easier to stay up than wake up lol
Wow you are so blessed to have an oversupply i feel jealous i only pump 1/2 ounce each time i try to pump.. I had to give formula to my baby he is 1 month old and my milk is not enough for him :(
Thank you so much for adding the bit about not comparing to our supply to yours because I was starting to really feel horrible. I’m breastfeeding this time around with my second and although it’s going well, I’m not making enough for him and I’ve had to supplement after several feeds and it’s made me feel like such a failure. I’m going to try those legendairy supplements though!

I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Elvie pump and I heard nothing but positive reviews about momcozy pump. The elvie pump is $500 something and I’ve been hearing it’s really sensitive like if you accidentally don’t put the parts in correctly it’s not going to work, than I’ve came in contact with some mammas that said one pump went out after just having it for like 2-3 months like it’s not responding to charging or just not working at all period. So I went and got momcozy first baby and having a girl beyond excited thank you for your tips girly!!
When you were pumping every 2-3 hours, how did you go out? Or for the first 12 weeks, did you stay at home all the time? Also, did you worry that your milk wouldn’t change according to baby’s needs (apparently baby saliva on nipple sends signals that changes mums milk accordingly, like if baby is feeling ill, mum milk changes to send more antibodies into milk)?
The first few weeks I stayed home as much as possible, but if I went out, I took a portable pump with me. Not at all, milk comes with demand too. So by stimulating and also lots of skin to skin helped

Thank you so much for this. I have been breastfeeding on and off and not constantly so I gave up on breastfeeding and just started to pump. I will be honest I have not been consistent with pumping. I've now hit 2 months and my milk is almost gone. Does it ever come back or once it's gone is it gone? Thank you!

I'm EP and it's so hard to get more than 3 ounces total per pump. I also feel like I can't pump too often as my nipples feel raw. Can you please make a video about how to fix that? Also what you eat in a day and how much water and calories?
I needed to see this. I’m five months pregnant and I was told because of my breast reduction, I may or may not have a good milk supply. I figure if EP and formula feed, my baby should still be able to get breast milk as well.
Hi Ale question do you gradually make it to level or vacuum 5 or do you complete the whole 30 minutes on the same number (5). I have the spectra but the pink one. Thanks
I exclusively breastfeed my twin boys. But I pump to try and get my supply up because I want to make sure they’re getting enough. I feed one then the other then pump. I do this 2-3 times a day. At each session I make 8 oz. I honestly feel like it’s impossible to increase my supply past this. I’m trying everything!
I’m so curious why you don’t just use the Elvie at home too for the ease of moving around while pumping? Just learning about exclusively pumping and just wondering. Hope that’s ok to ask. This was all so so helpful!!
I'm currently 3.5 weeks postpartum and trying to figure out pumping. We may move to exclusively pumping, so your video is really helpful as we figure that out! One question I have is why do you not use the Elvie at home? It seems easier to use than the spectra- does it just not get as much milk as the spectra?
No definitely not! For me the Elvie did not even come close to the amount I pumped with the spectra. I would pump 3 times the amount with the spectra. It also doesn’t hold as much. So if you produce a lot, you’d have to take it off and empty it and then start again.
EP here, I didn’t get the battery powered Spectra, I have the other one, get a 12v to outlet converter and just take the spectra in the car. The wearables just don’t work great for some, they don’t for me, I’m an under producer.
Currently I’m 5 months pregnant and I have a 14month old. She loves being on mommy and taking everything from me lol. I’m also scared about pumping with her around. Any tips with pumping with a baby and toddler
I pump every 4 hours. 6 is pushing it. But I do notice i get engorged. I need to try 3 to 4 instead its just hard getting sleep. Since I'm bipolar the better sleep I get the more level I am. Its been hard. She sleeps for like 6 hours at night and she's only 2 months so I do try to sleep when she does if its that long. She's gaining weight so if she sleeps I let her I don't wake her to feed.
This is also a big problem I am having. I know you commented a long time ago, but I have bipolar 2 and sleep is so critical to keep well. My milk supply is not good enough for my 5 week old prem baby. I am getting good support and trying my best to pump up to 8 times in 24hrs. I feel like im not seeing any improvement which is affecting my mood also 😢 hope you had success with your feeding!
just add one session between 3 am and 5 am. i usually just pump once i wake up to pee around 4 am but i still have an alarm set for 5am because too many times i have slept through the whole night then woke up in the morning and had completely soaked my bra 😭
I don't have the link for it rn but last week I saw an ad for something like that on Amazon... Where you basically stick this thing on your ti*diez at night and it collects it for you while you sleep.all you gotta do is stand up before taking it off and feed baby :) I wish I remember where I saved the link. I hope you find it.
You need to drink at least a gallon a day, if not more (since a lot of it is being used to help your milk), as you need the water to stay hydrated too.. and good way to supplement is eating foods Hugh in water as well (cucumbers, celery, melons [in moderation], etc.). And some kind of electrolyte drink, Gatorade etc but I’ve heard great things about body armour!
I don’t worry about supplementing with formula for my little one for now since he is only a month and a half right now. What worries me is later on keeping up my milk supply and having to supplement with more formula the bigger he gets the more he’ll need. Because of the formula shortage I keep hearing about, I worry if I won’t be able to access it if I need it down the line. Is it possible to bring up my milk supply two months postpartum since I haven’t worked hard at pumping too much up until this point?
I’m here to say/ask the same thing! 💛 hope things are looking better for you now! Around here experiencing a lot of shortages right now w/ his formula I supplement with, and I’m 5 months postpartum and in the beginning I had oversupply but slacked keeping up with the routine/schedule, I’m lucky to pump two to three ounces per day 🥺
@@aparis7654 ☹️ how is it going? There are several videos on YT here with women that talk about relactating after they stopped breastfeeding entirely for months! It’s possible! That’s actually what gave me the confidence boost I needed to get on top of it a little more with pumping schedule. Because I never stopped breastfeeding just slacked off like you mentioned also and felt like I couldn’t keep up with my little guy’s demand. My little one isn’t taking my boob as much anymore and I’m already missing it 🙁although the upside is being able to see exactly how much he consumes in a bottle whether it be formula or breast milk. I feared my supply had gone down in month 3 but I started power pumping a few days this week and already see an increase! Around 11pm i reserve an hour and do as follows: 11-11:20 pump 11:20-11:30 break 11:30-11:40 pump 11:40-11:50 break 11:50-12am pump All done! Just doing this three days helped a lot! And of course you can pick whatever hour is most convenient for you I just found that a lot of my milk supply Increases later at night and wanted to capitalize on that. How’s your water intake? Another factor that really helps me is lots of water. Since breast milk is 90% water, I try to stay hydrated (it can be tough to remember but I try!) I also know some women swear by lactation cookies or brownies. They didn’t do anything for me but they may for you?
@@aparis7654 I also hear that Abbott (the main formula manufacturer) is opening back up so the formula shortage should end soon! Hope you and your little have been doing well!!
Please help me to learn and understand. What does exclusively pumping mean? Does it mean the baby feeds only with a bottle and never directly from the breast? I can only think of two instances where a mother would choose this- either the baby has a cleft palate or is a small premie. I’m trying to understand with how much time and trouble is involved in pumping only as opposed to giving the breast for suckling? Thank you!
Hi! Another reason is that the baby won’t latch. Babies can have trouble for lots of reasons. Tongue tie, lip tie, etc. in my experience exclusively pumping is just as time consuming if not more than being able to nurse. Sometimes, you don’t even need any of these reasons, some moms would like to just pump and bottle feed because it’s their way of breastfeeding.
Thank you for so kindly responding. I’ve just been so confused as to why a busy new mom would choose to exclusively pump and bottle feed her baby unless it’s absolutely indicated for the situation. My fourth baby of 5 was born 6 weeks early and I had to pump and feed her from a premie bottle so I could measure how much milk she was taking in. Even with the luxury of having prepackaged and sterile premie bottles I couldn’t wait until I could switch to the breast. That being said, I admire any mother who is so lovingly determined to feed her baby with the best nutrition she can provide, as you do. Truly loving your baby and doing the best you can for them is the most important ingredient. I love what you said about giving yourself grace as you navigate this journey of motherhood. ❤
Thank you for your video I know you made this 2 years ago but I had a question with your elvie pump compared to the pump you use at home the spectra do you realize a difference in what you get? Is one pump stronger than the other pump? Thank you so much in advance.
Yes! I have the spectra and the Elvie. I thought I would use my elvie all of the time. I don’t! I make 3 times more with my spectra than my elvie. I would feel bad using my elvie because I would know that using my spectra would have better results. So I don’t even use it anymore. $500 down the drain. Yikes lol.
OMG, that pump app is amazing! I’ve been looking for something like that for weeks! I’m a first time mom and my son is 7 weeks old, I’ve been trying to bottle feed him the pumped milk and I could not for the life of me track what I pump. Thank you!!! Is there similar app for diaper track? Just wondering..
Sometimes I pump alot and sometimes i dont. I cant produce alot of milk in the morning. My baby is 3 months. Is it too late for me to produce alot of milk like u??
I struggled with pumping and would have a lot of clogged milk ducts. Have you ever had clogged ducts or mastitis? and if you did what did do to help relieve it.
Hi. Thanks for sharing. I also am an exclusive pumper. She is now 8 months. I start to wean cause I have allergy to red meat and dairy ptoducts and eggs mean that I have firm breast few hours after eat so I got weak and I elongate my intervals from 3 to 5 but I have worse cloggs or as bad as when I eat meat milk egg. What should I do for starting to wean (I have tried any massage SF lecithin, advil....). The diet limitation is a must
Omg I had no idea the acent bottles fit on the spectra flanges! Just had my first kid 3 weeks ago and have been exclusively pumping since day 4. (He wouldn't latch because my nips are super short). Seeing your routine is so helpful!
@shazrafatima11 he finally did! It's week 8 and I was finally able to breastfeed him for a whole feed. He started latching weeks 6 and 7. I'm still pumping and supplementing with formula. Using the nipple shields at first helped and seeing the lactation consultant
@@nievesnadia3 Thank you so much for the prompt response. I don’t have consultation available at my place. I refer to videos and trying my best to get him to latch. He cries uncontrollably and I eventually give up and give him expressed milk. I hope he latches soon. How long and how many times a day did you try to get your baby to latch?
@shazrafatima11 that's totally fair. The internet was helpful to me too. I tried to get him to latch every other time he was hungry and also tried when he qasnr starving but I knew a feeding would be coming up (ex. If he feeds about every 2-3 hours, I'd try at the 2 hour mark to see if he'd do it). Look up the football hold for breastfeeding. My baby liked that one. Also, try doing thw switcheroo with the baby by giving them the bottle first for a few minutes then slip them the nipple! I'd also try hand expressing, or using the hakkaa or using my pump to express the milk before having him latch 😊

I was told not to do that because bacteria from the baby’s mouth will make the milk go back. I do give the old milk if it’s within the hour that my son has eatten but didn’t finish. Otherwise I always toss it.
I'm a new mom. My baby is in NICU. I can only pumped max 1 - 2 oz per 45 mins per breast. I do take supplements and tea that supposed to helped with breast milk. Dont know why but i pumped every 3 hours and sometimes i worried i dont make enough. For whole 24 hours my max flow is 6.5 oz.
Can i ask how it is going for you now? Has your supply gone up since you commented? Because my baby was born a bit prematurely as well and had slight jaundice, so she didn't have the energy to suck and my milk wasn't enough for her to gain weight so i needed to pump. My total a day is only 10 ounces after 10 pump sessions (every 2 or so hours). She is now 1 month old but i still pump 1-2 ounces every session.

Hi momma! Any tips on how you increased your milk supply?
Thank you for your journey, and transparency. I appreciate your kind words for those of us that struggle. Your babies are beautiful! ❤
Do I pump? No. Do I breastfeed? No. Do I even have a child? Nope. Am I still watching and so excited? Heck yes!!!
Lol
Me too
😂 I feel you. 😂😂 You need kids now
Lol😂
😂
Im struggling with the same right now... Dont worry it is what it is, sometimes mamas dont get enough supply 😢
@@milankaur6626 hey! I kept on going, i never gave up and fortunately at the end all my hard work payed off! My supply has gone up and my baby gained almost 6 kg's in 2 months.
True...just imagine am dry pumping...like i pump and nothing comes out
@@meghana6142 don't get discouraged!
So:)
And it's been a game changer for me I don't have to stress if I go out.
Did you bring it up ?
Me too 😭
Did u get it back??... coz i didnt..😢😢😢feel like an absolute failure

Thank you 😊 so much for this! So many great tips I’m a first time mom and my milk is low right now so I’m trying everything to get it back up
Thank you for making this Rea Life. We aren't perfect & its comforting to know other moms go to long to pump too & its still ok. This helps!💞

You dont need to wash parts after every pump! Just throw in ziplock bag and store in fridge and then wash/sterilize at the end of the night.
Good idea
So the parts can stay unwashed for 24hrs? Should a rinse be done at minimum before being washed?

I can’t
Did you continue bf or did you go to formula?
Great video! Watching as I pump haha. I would love to see a video on dropping pumps or weaning off the pump! Currently 3 months postpartum and I pump 6 times a day, but I have an oversupply and would love to drop down asap. I also stay up till 2am to get that last session in, easier to stay up than wake up lol

I’m breastfeeding this time around with my second and although it’s going well, I’m not making enough for him and I’ve had to supplement after several feeds and it’s made me feel like such a failure. I’m going to try those legendairy supplements though!
I used milky mama lemoonade. It helped me. I would drink a packet every other day. Only because they do get pricey
When you pump in the mornings, how many hours passed since your last pump? Is that 13-17 oz you get in the morning after only 3 hours?
I had breast milk for about 10 days after delivery one day I did want to breastfeed Because my baby stomach was not full and then I was advised to my friend take mamicon syrup and mamicon capsule for 7-8 days I have started taking milk and the special thing is that it is ayurvedic I ordered it form Flipkart❤🎉😊
It is easier for you to not use the Elvie pump because of how many oz you pump specially in the morning? Or you just prefer the other one?
I’ve heard mixed reviews about the Elvie pump and I heard nothing but positive reviews about momcozy pump. The elvie pump is $500 something and I’ve been hearing it’s really sensitive like if you accidentally don’t put the parts in correctly it’s not going to work, than I’ve came in contact with some mammas that said one pump went out after just having it for like 2-3 months like it’s not responding to charging or just not working at all period. So I went and got momcozy first baby and having a girl beyond excited thank you for your tips girly!!
I had momcozy & used it 2 weeks & one of the motors went out. I highly recommend Elvie stride, much cheaper than just the Elvie ! (:
I have an Elvie and momcozy. Elvie is just ok. The momcozy just doesn’t work for me. I barely get anything at all when I use it.
I also am an exclusive pumper and this video helps so much! In the beginning I was like I wonder if I’m the only one lol
Yay!! I love an Ale upload on a Sunday! 💓💓.
Agreed!!
Do you use any stretch mark creams/oils? Has that helped you at all?

Thank you so much for this. I have been breastfeeding on and off and not constantly so I gave up on breastfeeding and just started to pump. I will be honest I have not been consistent with pumping. I've now hit 2 months and my milk is almost gone. Does it ever come back or once it's gone is it gone? Thank you!

Any reason why you don’t use the Elvie at home? Since it’s more convenient
Do the calm vitality supplements make you drowsy? Hoping to not take anything that makes me too sleepy with a newborn.

Great video!! How long do you pump on each size? I was told to pump no more than 15 mins on each time per side
So I’m not pumping anymore but I had an oversupply so it was more convenient to pump into the spectra bottles than on the Elvie bottles
Do you wash and air dry the pump parts between every single pump session???
13oz !!!! That’s amazing I only get 4oz per session 😭
Same!!
Same sometimes less
And I get alittle more than 2oz only.. in one session 😑
My daughter will be 3 months on the 15th and I only make 1 to 2 oz. Most of the time 1 oz every 2 hour.
I've had to supplement with formula already

Do we have to wash and sanitize pump after every use?

I’ve got to start waking up at night to pump! My milk comes down so heavy while I sleep and it just goes to waste 😫😫
just add one session between 3 am and 5 am. i usually just pump once i wake up to pee around 4 am but i still have an alarm set for 5am because too many times i have slept through the whole night then woke up in the morning and had completely soaked my bra 😭
@@kristan123987 I think you’re referring to the lady bugs by haakaa! This is what I use overnight and can passively collect around 2 oz
How much water you drink in a day?
Also is it easy to use the spectra pump. I’m a little bit confuse 🙁
Do you find you get as much milk with the Elvie ? It’s such an investment I want to make sure it would be ok to use just that and the haaka
Around 11pm i reserve an hour and do as follows:
11-11:20 pump
11:20-11:30 break
11:30-11:40 pump
11:40-11:50 break
11:50-12am pump
All done!
Just doing this three days helped a lot! And of course you can pick whatever hour is most convenient for you I just found that a lot of my milk supply Increases later at night and wanted to capitalize on that.
How’s your water intake? Another factor that really helps me is lots of water. Since breast milk is 90% water, I try to stay hydrated (it can be tough to remember but I try!)
I also know some women swear by lactation cookies or brownies. They didn’t do anything for me but they may for you?
@@aparis7654 I also hear that Abbott (the main formula manufacturer) is opening back up so the formula shortage should end soon! Hope you and your little have been doing well!!
What do you do to produce so much milk?
Omg love the tip of using the flange as the funnel! With Camilla I struggled getting the milk
Into bag. Thank you.
I only get 2 oz per pump. Any help would be great. He is 3 months old.
Can someone suggest me how should I get more milk. I hardly get 60-90ml. And my baby do not drink my milk directly. I have to pump and give him.

Omg I had no idea the acent bottles fit on the spectra flanges! Just had my first kid 3 weeks ago and have been exclusively pumping since day 4. (He wouldn't latch because my nips are super short). Seeing your routine is so helpful!
Did your baby latch? I had my first baby too 3 weeks ago. He never latched. Just wanted some hope from someone going through the same
@shazrafatima11 he finally did! It's week 8 and I was finally able to breastfeed him for a whole feed. He started latching weeks 6 and 7. I'm still pumping and supplementing with formula. Using the nipple shields at first helped and seeing the lactation consultant

My problem with breastfeeding has always been that I am attached to these wires and I get super bored. I also find it irritating that I feel like a cow of sorts.

An you reuse breast milk? For example if the baby doesn’t finish the bottle Can you still keep that milk and add more breast milk to it later?
Yes, I reuse it, but don’t add it to another bottle. Just finish that old bottle first and then feed other new milk bottle as needed
I was told not to do that because bacteria from the baby’s mouth will make the milk go back. I do give the old milk if it’s within the hour that my son has eatten but didn’t finish. Otherwise I always toss it.
Hiya, please which app did you use that reminded you to pump?
Have you try the willow pump ? How often do you pump ? Looking for a wireless pump but not sure which one I want to buy. Thank you.
Yes and honestly I preferred the Elvie. I pumped every 3 hours.
I wish I’d known the flange hack.
