    This is my first portable pump and I absolutely love it ❤❤ now considering to go for a momcozy V2 or M9 or any hospital grade? Which would you recommend for elastic nipples?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I do love the Momcozy pumps! If you have elastic nipples you'll want to avoid the V and M series as they have a much shorter tunnel. The S9 Pro and S12 Pro are your best options as they have the longest tunnel which you need with elastic nipples. Out of the 2, I prefer the S12 Pro but both have pros and cons I talk about here th-cam.com/video/IJFYC0_aT6Y/w-d-xo.html :) Bonus if you use my code PUMPINGMILK at momcozy.com before the 15th July you'll currently get 25% off (#ad)

    So you stack the flanges??? I’m a 19 so should I put my 21 flange in and then my 19 over top??? I’m getting milk but I’m not being emptied so I’m trying anything I can

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      So sorry but no you do not need to stack the flanges. This was my error. Just choose the correct flange insert for your flange. If you're not being emptied, I recommend double checking your seals and making sure than your parts don't need replacing (I.e. duckbill valve).

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is a little pouring spout at the top of the flange. I like to remove the pump motor first, and then you can pour the milk out from the pouring spout. Leave the flange attached to the cup to make it easier to pour. Hope this helps.

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Unfortunately my only recommendation if the 17mm is too big is to look for a smaller flange insert like the 15mm (amzn.to/3xOox55 #ad). This will fit directly into your 24mm flange.

    May you please tell me your opinion on how this one compares to the Lasinoh Discreet Duo?? I'd appreciate it!! Thank you!

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Happy to help :) I don't own a Lasinoh Discreet Duo yet, but looking at the key features the Mommed S21 is more powerful with a 280mmHg suction strength vs 260mmHg of the Lasinoh Discreet Duo. Battery life on the S21 is also much better at 150 mins vs 100mins on the Duo. You do get an extra mode on the Duo with does give you more control with your pumping settings, however there are only 9 suction levels. With the S21 you have 3 mode but 12 suction levels. As I said, I don't have the Duo, but looking at the features alone, I'd choose the Mommed S21 for the high suction strength and longer battery life. Most of the other features look very similar. Hope that helps!! Also if you choose to go with the Mommed S21 you can get 25% off with the code PUMPINGMILK when you buy direct from mommed.pxf.io/LX51bL which also makes the S21 much more affordable than the Duo (#ad)

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If it's leaking from the pump, and you've checked that it's put together correctly with firm seals, then it could be that the flange or valves need replacing.

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Suction strength wise, it's up to 295mmHg, which is powerful. If you can barely feel it, that doesn't sound right. I recommend double-checking the parts to make sure there is no damage and check the assembly to ensure adequate seals. Also, have you measured your nipples to ensure you're using the correct flange size? And what settings did you have it on?

    • @pumpingmilk

      It clicks into place and also has an inner silicone lip, which helps create the seal.

  • @Heather-hi5xz
    @Heather-hi5xz 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

    I’m wondering about it wearing over time popping on and off. Do you think it would start leaking seeing it doesn’t have the silicone around the edge? What keeps it from leaking now?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It clips/locks into place. It has a space that goes over the pouring spout and then clips in at the bottom, so I don't see it popping on and off unless that breaks. There is also an inner silicone lip to help prevent leaks. It feels a lot more secure to me than a silicone flange, but it is a hard plastic, so that is a consideration.

      Not that I have found so far. Maymom do a long flange insert amzn.to/3KJfXre (#ad) which will help extend the tunnel, but this is for the S9/S12 models. Honestly, I think the M5/Mobile Style tunnel is too short for elastic nipples. If you're after a Momoczy wearable pump, I think the S12 Pro amzn.to/3RnlWFV (#ad) with the Maymom long flange inserts is a better option. The tunnel on the S12 pro is twice as long as the Mobile Style.

    Very helpful video thanks. How would you advise I sterilise the parts that come into contact with the breast milk rather than just using warm soapy water? There’s mixed info online. I have a UV steriliser or is soaking the items in Milton fluid or boiling best?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the lovely feedback! You need to initially wash the parts in warm soapy water to remove any residual breastmilk, then sterilize. I believe you can use a sterilizer for the Momcozy S9 Pro/S12 Pro/V1/V2 however the M5 and new mobile style need to be boiled/Milton fluid as they are made from PA/ABS materials. Momcozy have their range of microwave steam bags that are suitable too amzn.to/3Xdp4Ib (#ad) Just keep in mind UV light sterilizers and microwaving of your breast pump parts may result in cloudiness / discoloration of the parts over time.

    How is the sound compared to V2?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      The V2 is slightly quieter at less than 48dB. The Mobile Style is less than 50dB. To give you an idea of how loud that is: Whisper is 15dB. Normal conversation is 60 dB. Library is 45 dB. Heavy city traffic is 85 dB.

    I bought my M5 in February 2024 and mine has a timer. I just pushed the little recycle button one time after the screen goes dark and then it shows how many minutes I’ve been pumping.

      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks so much for letting us know! That is great news if they have included it in the newer M5 pumps 😊 I did double check mine, just in case I missed it, but there is definitely no timer for my M5 pump.

    49 hrs, the pump is almost 7 years old. I used with my 1st near the end of my pumping journey. It still works great as a backup as I got the S1 this time through insurance.

      Yes, my kit came with the inserts 😊 Just as a note in the video, I said you need to stack your inserts, but you can actually just use the 1 insert with your correct size. No need to stack them.

    Which one do you think is more worth the price?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think both are great pumps. I really do love the design of the Mobile Style, but if price is a big factor and if you don't need the extra battery life, then I think the M5 is better value, especially with its vibration with mixed mode and 105 degree flange. If price wasn't your main factor, I'd go with the Mobile Style.

  • @pumpingmilk
    @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

    Video correction: I mentioned the standard flange design is 180 degrees. Please note that this should have been 90 degrees. Apoligies for any confusion!

    Do you think the carrying case can be used as a cooler? If a Mom wanted to take the pump to work and keep it cool all day with ice packs? Or would you not recommend using the case that way? A lot of us Mom’s have to pump away from home.

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      Honestly, I wouldn't use it as a cooler. It's not insulated, and the material inside is not all waterproof. I can see your point though, it would be amazing if it could be used that way!

  • @trishazhang
    @trishazhang หลายเดือนก่อน

    Thank you for making the comparison video so promptly! Just a question how do we find out whether we will be more suitable for the 105deg or the 180deg flange u were talking about? I have normal spectra flange, phanpy wearable and pumpables liquidshield for comparison.

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm so sorry I said 180 degrees, but it should have been 90 degrees 🫣 The spectra flange is the standard 90 degrees flange design. I'm not familiar with the Phanpy but they appear to have a 112 degree angle. Here is a link to a study that was done on the 2 different designs: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7687096/ Hope that helps 😊

      Any idea which design is better for elastic nipples?

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the M5 with its silicone flange is better for elastic nipples as it provides a little more resistance. With the hard plastic flange of the Mobile Style there is less resistance so the elastic tissue, the nipple and/or areola may be pulled too far down the tunnel, narrowing the milk ducts and closing off the flow of milk.

    I love watching your videos. I really really want this M6. I wish they were a little more affordable. I hope I can be a proud owner of the is new pump. I recently purchased the Lumbi and have used it twice so far, it has defective silicone near the pour spout. Almost looks cracked. & apparently the pumps are no longer available to exchange or purchase a new one. I am a bit concerned as my milk supply is dwindling, need to get a nice pump asap. My daughter needs the milk and I want to make sure she gets it rather than formula. Thank you for your informative videos! I love hearing your reviews.

      Oh you are too kind! Thank you for the lovely feedback 💖 I really do love this new Momcozy pump too! In terms of your Lumbi pump, that sounds very disappointing 😞 I do know they have been constantly selling out, but if it is faulty I'd expect a replacement as priority. If you haven't already try reach them on their fb page facebook.com/lumbifamily?mibextid=ZbWKwL Hopefully you can get it all sorted asap 😊

      Thank you for the the tip, I appreciate the information! 😊 would you be able to show a comparison of what both of these pumps pour like? After done pumping what do they look like when they pour? Are they both the same? One thing I noticed with the Lumbi is the defective pour spout, one side milk didn’t pour out smoothly- had to force it with my hand and fingers, which caused some milk to spill out rather than a smooth pour. Can you maybe fill them with water or milk to show what they pour like? Hope that doesn’t sound like a weird question. I’d like to see that before I spend $130 on the new Momcozy pump

    Have you heard when they would be coming out with replacement parts for this pump? Was going to order but nervous of ordering, using and not being able to maintain suction with backup parts.

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      I haven't heard as yet, but I assume it won't be long. In terms of spare parts, it does come with a spare duckbill valve and diaphragm. So that should see you through for 6 months or so depending on your use.

    Is this comparable to the Elvie Original or Elvie Stride? Is this hospital grade? Thank you! 🙏

    • @pumpingmilk
      @pumpingmilk หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes they are comparable, in terms of suction strength the Elvie Stride and Momcozy Mobile Style are more aligned. Here are some quick comparisons: - Elvie Stride has a suction of 300mmHg and 2 modes with 10 suction levels. - Elvie original has a suction of 220mmHg and 4 SmartRhythm™ modes and 7 suction levels. - Momcozy Mobile Style has a suction of 295mmHg and 3 modes and 9 suction levels. In terms of hospital grade, both the Elvie Stride and Momcozy Mobile Style have hospital-grade performance, but all are single use only (so not technically hospital grade as that is a multi-user pump like the Medela Symphony). There are also differences in design, with the Stride requiring tubing where as the Momcozy and Elvie Original do not. The collection cup is 6oz on the Momcozy and only 5oz on both Elvie pumps. Battery life on the Stride and Mobile Style are both 180 mins, and only 120min on the Elvie original. Momcozy does not have an app. Hope this helps! If you do choose to go with the new Momcozy Mobile Style the you can also use the code PUMPINGMILK for 15% off at the Momcozy checkout bit.ly/3OLpAYT (#ad) 😊
