I see all these suggestions to pump every 2 hours and set up a relaxing environment to pump. What I can't figure out is how they have enough time to feed the baby, put it down to sleep, pump, clean the pump parts and bottle and sleep. Do these people have nannies that actually do the feedings and cleaning and putting the baby to bed? My husband is super supportive but he works so I am doing most feedings alone and trying to pump. How are people actually doing this on their own?
I am in the same boat, 2.5 months pp. i am all over the place. Cooking, cleaning, trying to breastfeed , unsuccessful-give formula top ups as i dont produce enough in pumping then feed baby , put him to sleep , wash pump parts , get ready to pump again and he wakes up then try to soothe him ..get back to pumping again.. on occasions i dont even get time to shower or pee poo when i need to. Its tremendous amount of stress and hardwork
You don’t have to wash the pump parts after every use as long as you put them in a ziploc bag in the fridge. Since it’s only breast milk the milk lasts for 4 days in the fridge.
I’m exclusively pumping with a 2 week old. Still trying to find the groove with things but what has been working for me so far is pumping while I feed. Prop baby up a little it on a pillow or blanket to feed. Have a sterilizer and dryer helps alot with in between pump sessions.
I’m just going through the comments and it’s comforting me so much. My son wouldn’t nurse and has taken to a bottle due to flat nipples and it’s making me frustrated and sad. EP has been such a hectic journey for me .. just knowing that there are other women out there who faced similar issues and came out strong gives me hope ..
Just had my little one and wasn't really prepared for breastfeeding. She wasn't latching well and caused some injuries so I decided to exclusively pump. I'm so glad I found this video because it has literally eased my anxiety over the whole thing. I want my baby to have the best of everything, including her nourishment. Thank you for this video ❤️
Thank you for making this video! Breastfeeding did not work out for me and my baby. My postpartum depression made it impossible to establish a good latch. I resorted to exclusive pumping after three miserable weeks. Exclusive pumping has been an excellent alternative so that he can still get my milk. There is a misconception that exclusive pumping is easier than breastfeeding. It’s still very much hard work but provides to be a doable options for those who just can’t breastfeed. I had to learn every single one of these tips the hard way. You are the best mama you can be no matter how your baby is fed. Be patient and your hard work will be rewarded with a smiling chubby baby❤️❤️
Oh pumping is so much more hard work imo. Bc not only do you have to bottle feed baby but you have to breastpump too after. And if your like me it takes 45 minutes to get the milk pumped out... also its easier for baby to get out your milk then a pump
Thank you for the video!! I'm on a different pumping journey than most after we lost our daughter at 19 weeks. I am starting my milk donation journey. If anyone else has had a late loss like this, it's an option. Despite how usually the medical team just tells you how to dry it up.
Thank you for making this video. I’m only 4 days PP and I was only able to get him to latch the night he was born. I’ve been pumping and supplementing ever since. Took a few days to figure out my flange size was wrong and let me tell you...oh the blisters...but it’s ok. I’m still making about 1-2 oz per 15-20 min session and can honestly keep going. Trying to avoid engorgment but it’s a bit difficult. We’re getting there. Just takes figuring it out. Keep up all the hard work mommas y’all got this!
Thank you so much for this video. I gave birth one month ago and had prepared for breastfeeding by taking a class and reading books etc, but was in no way prepared for pumping. Because of inverted nipples, low milk supply and a tongue tie, I have been exclusively pumping. Baby would get frustrated on the nipple shield because of the low milk supply and flow, so working on supply and then hopefully we will able to get him to latch again. I received some bad advice from my lactation consultant and said that if I needed more sleep in those first weeks to recover from birth, that it was okay to not pump in the middle of the night, but now my supply is paying for it. She also said I only needed to pump for 10 minutes, but now I have learned that 20 is the standard. Also I wanted to mention to women on here, if exclusive pumping ends up being your entire breastfeeding future, I would highly recommend a battery operated pump so you can move about. I am so thankful that my friend had mentioned the Willow to me. You can walk around without all the tubing and cords etc. That has been my least favorite thing this past month, being stuck to the wall for 20 minutes every 3 hours!
I know this was 7 months ago but how did using your willow go? I’m waiting for mine to come today or tomorrow. I’m using my elvie currently and I just learned how to do it right for myself to get milk out good and basically drains me everytime. I’m hoping the willow will do the same thing
I really needed this video! I’ve been exclusively pumping since baby was born in July and I’ve heard SO many opinions and so many false facts that led to mastitis 😭 thank you for this you’re always such a help! 💛
My baby is yet to be born, but I'm thinking about exclusively pumping. That way my husband can feed the baby too and I somehow think I won't find it comfortable to nurse. Giving the baby a bottle would be more of a bonding experience for me I think. Perhaps I'll feel differently when the baby arrives, but I'm so happy we have options these days (in the wealthier parts of the world, I wish women everywhere had the luxury to choose).
I decided to exclusively pump about a week after my son was born! He’s 4 weeks old now. Never looked back. I love it. It can be challenging sometimes, but I love that I’m still providing him with my breastmilk but that it gives me so much flexibility and easier on me. I’m still learning, but so far I’ve been really successful. I’m actually power pumping as I’m watching this! 👏🌈
Omg.. that rice sock girrrrl!! I LOVE THAT! you tube has been my saving grace as a new mom for the past 4 months and I'm loving these hacks. Not everybody knows about this, so thank you for being so generous! As a side notes for new moms like me: if your milk supply has dropped tremendously and you have to pump, be encouraged today. YOU ARE ENOUGH! take things one day and one session at a time. XOXO
This video helped so much! I have a 9 yr old son and just had our babygirl about two weeks ago. Just started pumping YESTERDAY. She was waking me up every 10-20 min to feed these last few days. And i just cant be doing that. NO SLEEP😢 so to help my husband and i for outings and more sleep, i chose to start pumping. I started every 3 hours but then i switched to every 2 hours. Because shes literally drinking the milk i just pumped. So i need to get a bit ahead to start our collection in the fridge/freezer. So far so good! Now its just remembering to put alarms on to remind myself to pump. I pumped about 4 times last night. 9,12,3,6. But yes cleaning in between takes time, but id rather be safe than my baby get sick. Its been working for me so far. And hubby likes that he can give me a break and feed her instead of having no choice but to wake me up or covering up in public. Again, this video has helped ALOT!! thanks girl! And to all the moms out there. WE GOT THIS!!! STAY PATIENT, REMEMBER WHY WE'RE DOING THIS, AND DONT FORGET, BABY STILL NEEDS OUR SKIN TO SKIN TIME & CUDDLES ❤ xoxo
Amazing and very informative video. Thank you so much! Currently 36w+5d pregnant and just got my first 2 drops of colostrum. I will start collecting at 37 weeks once my syringes arrive 😊
Okay, first off, THANK YOU 😭 for your videos!! They are life savers! I had two kiddos years ago and had no help, I knew absolutely nothing about anything as a mother & my breastfeeding journey ended in the first month with the both of them. Fast forward to now & I just had my beautiful daughter but I still knew nothing about breastfeeding & pumping. Your videos have been a life saver for me! I am now loving this journey & could just cry at your kindness to make the videos you do to help people like me. I so appreciate content creators like you because you literally don’t have to take your time to make these videos so again, thank you. Thank you, thank you. Just know you’ve helped me tremendously & I can actually breastfeed my baby girl like I always wished I could with my last two. 😭🥰
Thanks so much! I’m 5 days postpartum and pumping 4-6oz per session. Currently with my son in the NICU. I was able to get a head start for one day so they’ve stored some in the freezer. They provided a pump but I prefer my Goldeep hands free pump.
I’m a triplet mom, my three babies are in the nicu growing because they were born early. So I’m exclusively pumping until they come home. You’re right, everyone’s journey is so different! Your videos are so inspiring and validating! ❤
I’m getting induced with my 3rd baby in 5 days, I never breastfed my girls because I literally could not handle the feeling and it made me so frustrated every single time, stressed out me and the babies, I never started exclusively pumping because I only got a single manual pump and that was just too much every couple hours, but now I’m on my third and there’s been a formula shortage, and formula is SO expensive, especially Lactose free formula and that’s what my last baby needed, so I got an electric double pump today and I’m REALLY hoping this time I can just give him breast milk 😊 I’m DEDICATED this time to trying my best not to have to go the formula route
Thank you for this video! Came at the right time. 3 weeks postpartum, and i’ve been dealing with a lot of pain and stress since I gave birth, my milk supply has decreased due to it, and being unable to keep up with the 2-3hr pumping schedule I had. Trying to get back on track. Will be getting and following the things you suggested. Hoping its not too late for me to increase my milk supply. Thank you!
My baby was a lazy latcher so I've been exclusively pumping for 5 months so far using the Medela freestyle flex. Every once in a while I'll feed directly from the breast but EP has worked great for us. My main goal was to feed him breast milk and to know exactly how much he's eating so this has been a great way t meet my goals. Luckily my supply has been great, I've joked to my family that he'll have my milk way into highschool 🤣🤣
How to get that stock? I had to substitute with formula about 20%. EP since birth as my son was also lazy and I don’t have that energy to fight with him. Is that Pumping every 3 hours as my OB recommendation? I couldn’t do that as I am solely looking after him 24/7( he no good sleeper yet trouble with reflux!) and am worried about future production as he will need to eat more!
Hi , planning to exclusively breastfeed too . I am unsure how to start and wanted to ask how you started . Did you start the pumping straight after birth ( 1-2-3-4 hours?) whilst in the hopsital or did you only start pumping when you left the hospital and gave him/her Bottles in the meantime ?
Could you do a video about all things twins? Giving birth, breastfeeding, schedules, etc. I’m currently 27 weeks pregnant with twin girls and trying to learn as much as I can!
Thank you so much. Your gentle encouragement has helped me so much. The anxiety I have about feeding my poorly baby is sky high so I really appreciate your help.
15:57 when she said this is hard work and your an amazing moma i just started bawling … sitting here pumping i just needed this to be said to me. Cause i need someone to appreaciate the work it takes. 2 kids in the living room 3 and 5 years old and a premie new born is hard
I have been exclusively pumping since my baby was born due to nipple confusion.. He is now 1 month old.. I have been pumping everyday every 2 to 3 hours.. Wakes up in the middle of night to pump, i have been drinking lots of water, taking moringa suppliments and doing my best to follow all these tips. But my milk supply is just not enough for babies demand. I cry sometimes coz i dont want my baby to drink formula.. What should i do?.
i’ve been having such a hard time nursing and i wasn’t prepared to have to shift to EPing. i am currently switching over and i am very depressed about it as i feel like i’m not going to bond or have that special moments, however you made me feel so much better
I’m right there with you - my daughter will be a month old tomorrow and I’m slowly accepting that nursing isn’t going to work out. She had severe tongue, lip and cheek ties that made latching difficult and impossible to get enough milk, so I had to use a bottle to ensure she was fed enough. We had her ties released two weeks ago, but unfortunately she continues to refuse the breast. I’ve been working with a Lactation consultant and physical therapist, but no luck to get her back on the breast. It’s a stressful and exhausting time for us both as she screams and cries every time I try (sometimes for hours). Exclusively pumping is hard bc it’s double the work, but my milk supply hasn’t suffered from it in any way and I have peace of mind knowing she’s still getting my milk (and gaining weight). If it’s any consolation, I’ve spoken to many mothers (as the lack of “bonding” from not being able to nurse was upsetting me too) and every single one of them said the same thing. You will bond in other ways and while nursing can be a special time for mom and baby, it isn’t the end all be all for bonding and has it’s own set of challenges. Many of them feel “trapped” bc they are the sole source of food. At least with a bottle, you can get some help. I’m sorry you are having a hard time nursing but you are not alone and SUCH a good mom for doing what you can to keep your baby fed, no matter what that looks like for you. Xo
I am right there with you - my newborn was latching poorly at first but now can not latch anymore and I’m depressed about the idea of EPing and worried about bonding/having enough milk supply 😔
7 weeks PP and only pumping 5ml - 25oz each per session. I’ve been watching your videos and they are SO informative. I’m hopeful that I’ll start making more milk soon.
@@simplytitanium7919 my baby spent a few days in the NICU. I truly believe that your state of mind plays a big part in at all. It so hard to produce milk when your baby isn’t there. My tips would be 1.) DRINK A LOT OF WATER 2.) SKIN TO SKIN 3.) Watch videos of baby while pumping 4.) get a hands free bra or pump 5.) don’t stress, stress only makes it’s harder
@@missshel4319 thank you 🙏🏼 my baby has been there 7 weeks and has 3 more weeks to go and i fear i’ll dry out before he comes home. im eating, staying hydrated, pumping at night , taking supplements, warm compresses. im on blood pressure meds for my pregnancy induced hypertension and i think thats whats causing my lack of supply
@@missshel4319 I agree! Take it one day at a time , you get this! This is my second time having to EP. The first time was hard emotionally. But instead of thinking of the long run I’m having to pump I started taking day. At time I had to take it pump session to pump session. Once i got the hang of it things got better. I took fenugreek to help my milk production. It was recommended by my Ob/gyn
Hi Bridget, i have been exclusively expressing for 4 weeks now. I have vasospasm which makes breastfeed ing and expressing quite painful. I cry almost everytime. I want to give my baby breast milk but I hate the pain that comes with vasospasm. Do you have any advice or tips to help? Thank you for your support and encouragement.
I know the feeling! I really felt like a mom when I was pumping and hovering my baby over my pump trying to soothe her 🥲 pump bra was the best investment I made
I can relate experiencing the same. So I have bought hospital grade electric pump for hard pumping when I finally can be free (at night) and any cords free pump for one side helps me pump in all other situations holding baby from the other side. I also have medela swing maxi and use it with pump bra sometimes.
This was such a helpful video I have been ep since my little man was born a preemie he is 5 months now it sure does have it's up and downs and I have had plenty of close calls with mastitis and have had clogged ducts not fun and super painful I want to drop a few pumping sessions bc I built my stash and my supply is taking over my whole freezer 😂your videos are always so informative thank you
This is by far one of the best vids I have come across, along with several of your others through my pregnancy journey. I'm a new momma with a 4 week old and it's been very challenging, and discouraging with baby not latching and having to go between a nipple shield and pumping and baby seems to be getting more and more frustrated with nipple shield. Just trying to figure this thing out. This video is very detailed and very encouraging and just what I needed to kick start this new journey of mine. Thank you so much for ALL of your amazing content ❤🙏🏽
I had a nicu baby at one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation. The lactation consultants told me to pump 8-10 times a day for 15-20 minutes only. Of course if my breasts still felt full I would massage to get most milk out but never longer than 20 minutes. Also they said drinking tons of water is a myth. Just drink when you’re thirsty. I hope This helps at least one mom out there. I would hate to have a mom pump for too long as I know the time holding your baby is precious. Just keep it to 15 mins and make sure you squeeze out the excess from your breasts after your done.
Thank you for all the information. I gave birth one week ago and was certain to just breastfeed my baby.... but we're having a hard time latching and I started pumping to get my supply going and him fed. Now it feels like I'm going to be stuck with pumping because there is no improvement with latching. Can you make a video on how to combine both or is that not really possible? Thank you for all your guidance!
If I am planning on exclusively pumping should I at any point after birth be putting baby on my nipple or just be focusing on pumping out milk right away and bottle feeding baby from the start?
I am exclusively pumping since two weeks now as baby is unable to latch naturally on natural breast . My concern is my supply is just about 2.5 oz per session combined both breast. Is that average or below average?
I want to breastfeed my second as well but he'll be in NICU for an unknown amount of time, could be a couple of weeks or it could be a whole year, so I will need to pump like a machine and I'm so ignorant in this topic 😢😅 This is a great video. Happy to find you.
I got a free pump through my insurance. It's a hygeia, I thought it was going to be cheap because I have never of this brand but it works really great.
Hi I'm currently exclusively breastfeeding for 5 weeks now but considering changing over to pumping just to have a little more time to myself and let the rest of the family help . My question is.. is it really necessary to pump in the middle of the night if baby is already sleeping through the night?
My question is about how often do I need to sterilize the pump I go back to work soon. Do I need to sterilize after each pumping session? Someone recommended that I can put it in a bag in the fridge and reuse it without sterilization at least for a day. Is this sanitary?
I think the hardest thing I've found about pumping is constantly disassembling and washing/sanitizing pump parts. To pump every 2-3 hours is just not feasible. Any tips for that?
You could get a second or third set of bottles and flanges to help out. Then, you only wash/sanitize every 2 to 3 pumping sessions. However, you would need a very large sanitizing unit or pot for boiling of you do that. Personally, I find that my spectra parts aren't a big issue to wash and sanitize. Right after bagging the milk, I disassemble and immediately wash. Then I throw them into the sanitizer, which also has a dryer setting. Once I am ready to pump again, they have been dry and ready to go for at least an hour. Following the routine of washing and sanitizing right away had definitely been the best solution for me.
Bridget, I have the spectra S1 and have been using it for about 6 months now. In the beginning of my journey I could get to about suction level 4-6 comfortably but over time I now can get all the way up to 12. Is that normal or could my pump be weakening? Thanks for all of your informative videos! 💜
Thanks for this informational video. I was wondering if it’s smart to breastfeed and also transfer milk to a bottle to get some help? How successful can that be?
Thanks for reminding me that I’m not giving my baby the best nutrition by supplementing with formula because I under produced ☹️ my situation was reversed. I formula fed and gave my baby the 1/2 oz I could pump out whenever I could.
I was down to one nursing session per day with my 18m old. My friend just had a baby a week and a half ago. Baby was losing to much birth weight, so I've started pumping to help her supplement. It's working, but my supply is rather low. I've never pumped before so I'm just learning. Is there anything i can do to build my supply back up quickly?
I am a nicu mom and was planning to exclusively breastfeeding but due to unexpectedly delivering due to pre-eclampsia at 33 weeks. This information is very helpful now that i have to pump nearly exclusively. I hope to switch to breast when we go home. He just plays at breast and yet takes bottles better right now.
My baby and I have been home from the hospital for a week and I’m starting to feel like my baby doesn’t like breastfeeding anymore. She fusses a lot while I’m trying to feed her but when my husband bottle feeds her my breast milk she’s content. It’s becoming very challenging for both my baby and I to breastfeed. My milk supply is extremely high so my main concern is, can exclusive pumping decrease this? Thank you for this informative video ❤️
Hello. I’ve been breastfeeding for 5 months today. Only pumping while I’m at work. I’m worried that since I can’t visually see how much my baby is getting, that he may not be getting enough. Is it possible to start exclusively pumping this far in?
Hello Bridget. My baby is 7 weeks now, and starting from day 3 he refused to latch. I started feeding with formula as I didn’t have enough milk supply. Now, using a pump, I have only 20 ml of breast milk per day. Please advise if there is any way I can increase the milk supply and make my child latch.
Great info, Brittany! Be sure to have pumping parents talk with their IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) for those breastfeeding difficulties. Keep up the good work!!
Hi can you do a video on exclusively pumping in the hospital and how to deal with pressure from LCs and nurses. Do I put it in my birth plan? I want to exclusively pump due to mental health reasons since my first time breastfeeding was hard and had ppd.
I had no choice but to EP just days after giving birth. My baby won’t latch even with a nipple shield. Is it still possible to teach baby how to latch after a month? 😞
Can you do a video on relactation or give me some tips? My baby is 3 months old but I stopped exclusively pumping after 2 months due to lack of support and knowledge. I am ready to try again but my milk has dried up.
If you’re exclusively breastfeeding and baby wants to be on the breast 24/7, do you need to pump at all to build supply? I find it tricky to find time to pump between keeping up with life and feeding babe! Any tips would be welcome.
am exclusively pumping my almost 4 months old. I use the Spectra but struggle to get my morning pumps as consistently as I need to grow my supply because of work from home demands and being the primary caregiver of 2 children. I also have a 3 year old. The Elvie gives me almost no milk compared to 3-4 oz combined each pumping session from Spectra with pumping pals flanges. I have elastic nipples. I got the Spectra about 2 months pp after my Ameda Maya Joy started malfunctioning and my supply almost died up. I had better output with the momcozy S9 for about a month prior to 2 months pp but the battery died prematurely. I purchased the S12PRO but it was very painful and gave very little milk output. Any suggestions on a wearable to supplement morning pumps along with my spectra?
I have a Spectra pump, I made sure I got this one because it’s portable and I’m always out and about. This is my first baby, so I had to figure everything out on my own. I feel like I’m not making a lot of milk often, and actually just lost everything I pumped in an accidental spilling this morning. I have been pumping backwards! I didn’t know about using the massage setting first, I always used it toward the end. I hope this will help me to produce more milk for my little one
Can I start exclusive pumping 4.5 month pp? I have had a hard start to my breastfeeding during, but am also struggling to pump more than 2 ounces per session and even less during the afternoon to evening. What can I do? I’ve tried everything and really want to pump more! Thanks 😬🙏🏼
I had a c-section and that same day the hospital gave me the pump parts and pump and told me to start pumping right away. I was shocked because I was confused how that worked especially when I just had a c-section that morning and didn’t know if my body will start producing milk right away.
How long do you recommend waiting after finishing power pumping before starting to pump every 2-3 hours again? I am finding that my next pumping after I power pump my supply is drastically lower (I've been waiting 3 hours after I finish before I start again).
My little one is just over a month old. She had to be on a high calorie formula because she wasn’t gaining and was losing weight in her first couple of weeks. I was able to get an ounce out of pumping a day in the beginning…as time went on…it was less and less to the point where I’m getting a few drops now or nothing at all. I’ve tried tea, cookies, supplements, and even tried to get her to latch and use nipple shields. Idk what to do and idk if you would have any suggestions. I have 3 different types of pumps…wireless and hands free, a hand operated one and the spectra s2. I was successful with the s2 and the hands free one for only a couple weeks and like I said, now I can’t get anything but a few drops when I hand express. My breasts never feel full and are mostly always soft, even in the beginning. It’s definitely causing me more stress and that’s definitely not helping! 😞😞
so i know this reply is too late but Its alright. You did your best. Formulas are designed to combat such problems. PP can be a stressful period and everyone deals differently with it. YOU DID THE BEST FOR YOUR BABY. congratulations on that
My baby doesn't stop when he's full, because he falls asleep faster and then wakes up after 5 minutes and wants to eat again. Any tips on keeping him awake during breastfeeding?
Get him down to a diaper and don't put a blanket on him. The lactation consultant at the hospital said to keep them up you might need to make them a little uncomfortable.
Hello! I’ve been pumping for 3 weeks for mh new born since my baby can’t latch correctly. But whenever i pump my milk can’t come out properly, it just doesn’t wanna come out. While the milk will come out when i hand express. Now i only produce 50ml in average per session. Need help on how to increase my milk supply :(
May I know if by lubricating the inner side of the flange with coconut oil there's a chance that some of it gets mixed into the pumped Breast milk (in the bottle)? Thanks !!
I don’t know if I can consider myself exclusively pumping because I do still put baby at the breast occasionally but with my first two little as well as this one I’ve had supply problems...my pumping schedule wasn’t constant at first but starting about a week ago I pump every 2 hours exactly occasionally I’ll pump over an ox combined but between that I only pump a half oz combined a total of 6 oz or less a day everything else is supplemented for him I just want to be able to lower the amount of formula and eventually go back to just breast milk
Can you make a video and share your thoughts on the new Duette pump by Legendairy Mill? It is FDA approved, dual motor and can set different settings for each breast while pumping both at the same time!! It also has a mode that alternates 3 mins of stimulation and 7 mins of expression.
Can you make a video on relactating I stopped about a month and a half ago and I’m trying to start again my baby is about to be three months this week but I’m a little discouraged
I just started my exclusive pumping as i have breast engorgement and started with a formula initially, due to which my milk supply got reduced now. Now I’m getting only 40ml per day(both breasts combined) and i have one month old baby. It’s so hard seeing this output after a day of hardwork. Is this normal?

Hi! My baby is always crying during breastfeeding for over 3 weeks now and he is not gaining enough weight. I have plenty of milk but I don't want to pump and feed him but breastfeed. Do you have any advice? Or should I give up my exclusively breastfeeding dream? Thank you
Sounds like an allergy. My baby was allergic to dairy if I ate it and when I cut it out her pain went away completely.

@@ellaanvari7737 Our family has problem with allergies so I avoided dairy for a long time and introduced gradually. I think it's not allergies because he drinks the same milk from a cup without fuss. He might have allergies to anything else, really.
My baby did the same thing. One morning I tried to get her to latch for 2 hours and she just wouldn't. I pumped, cried for about 20 minutes, and then gave her a bottle. Now we primarily pump. She's still getting the good stuff and honestly, it's a really good feeling being able to see how many ounces she gets at each feeding.

You don’t have to wash the pump parts after every use as long as you put them in a ziploc bag in the fridge. Since it’s only breast milk the milk lasts for 4 days in the fridge.
Same problem here....😢
I’m exclusively pumping with a 2 week old. Still trying to find the groove with things but what has been working for me so far is pumping while I feed. Prop baby up a little it on a pillow or blanket to feed. Have a sterilizer and dryer helps alot with in between pump sessions.

Thank you for the video!! I'm on a different pumping journey than most after we lost our daughter at 19 weeks. I am starting my milk donation journey. If anyone else has had a late loss like this, it's an option. Despite how usually the medical team just tells you how to dry it up.
My condolences. Rip angel baby. ^i^
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I’m so sorry.
Yeah same here i want my baby to direct latch on me but she is not so i m stuck with pump
You go, mama!!!
What bottles are you using? I’m pumping and can’t seem to figure out the best bottles to avoid too much air 🤷🏻♀️😩

Hello Meg, can I send you an email?
Hi how do you store?😊
I want to exclusively pump, but I’m not gonna stress if he has to go on formula due to lack of supply just wanna make sure he’s getting enough food.
Agreed, that does not help with milk supply. You need to be relax while pumping.
Omg.. that rice sock girrrrl!!
Thank you!
In the same boat right now, it's worrisome for sure.
Did it help you?
Did you start the pumping straight after birth ( 1-2-3-4 hours?) whilst in the hopsital or did you only start pumping when you left the hospital and gave him/her
Bottles in the meantime ?
How do you store your milk? How long??? Im sorry it’s 3am for me and she’s woken up 2 times now and she ate already
Loved how you both interacted with your son. You can hear how intentional you are with how you talk to him.

when she said this is hard work and your an amazing moma i just started bawling … sitting here pumping i just needed this to be said to me. Cause i need someone to appreaciate the work it takes. 2 kids in the living room 3 and 5 years old and a premie new born is hard
Thanks Bridget for the clear and focused content🙏 you're making the lives of so many mamas easier ❤❤❤
Hi, could you make videos about baby milestones ? Thanks, great videos, keep up the good work. All the best!
Is that a wallpaper on the wall? If so where did you get it from? I love it!!!
7 weeks PP and only pumping 5ml - 25oz each per session. I’ve been watching your videos and they are SO informative. I’m hopeful that I’ll start making more milk soon.
i’m 7 weeks PP and only getting 1oz each breast per session…any tips? howd it go…my baby is in the nicu so breastfeeding isnt an option 💔
@@simplytitanium7919 my baby spent a few days in the NICU. I truly believe that your state of mind plays a big part in at all. It so hard to produce milk when your baby isn’t there.
My tips would be
1.) DRINK A LOT OF WATER
2.) SKIN TO SKIN
3.) Watch videos of baby while pumping
4.) get a hands free bra or pump
5.) don’t stress, stress only makes it’s harder
@@simplytitanium7919 I have more to say but I can’t type it all right now. I’ll be back tomorrow love ❤️
Please tell about relactation? This is also a big problem
It’s so hard to pump when my baby just wants to be in my arms even when she sleeps 😭
So true
yessss, pumping bra is the only thing that helps me in this case
I know the feeling! I really felt like a mom when I was pumping and hovering my baby over my pump trying to soothe her 🥲 pump bra was the best investment I made
@@puccachu yessss!!!! I’m expecting again so we will see how it goes 😭
This is my first time pumping and I didn’t even know what I need or why I need it so this video definitely helped
If I had only pumped 20minutes I still would have been engorged. There is no golden number for all moms. Especially if you are exclusively pumping.
The water thing is not a myth lol.
I’m pumping at 2am as I watch this! Lol great tips! Thank you!
Same here!
Me too!🙃
Haha also pumping here now, at 10:00 PM
Same 😂
LOL same! 😅🥱🥲
Did it increase at some point ?
I want to breastfeed my second as well but he'll be in NICU for an unknown amount of time, could be a couple of weeks or it could be a whole year, so I will need to pump like a machine and I'm so ignorant in this topic 😢😅 This is a great video. Happy to find you.
I got a free pump through my insurance. It's a hygeia, I thought it was going to be cheap because I have never of this brand but it works really great.
I was looking for a video about exclusively pumping. Thank you so much for filming this!
Hi I'm currently exclusively breastfeeding for 5 weeks now but considering changing over to pumping just to have a little more time to myself and let the rest of the family help . My question is.. is it really necessary to pump in the middle of the night if baby is already sleeping through the night?
I wonder the same thing
I love your videos! I’m exclusively pumping for my baby since he was born (he is 1 month old)
How does that work while in the hospital? Do you take the pump with you
Love this video, great tips! Could you please do a video how to help a baby get used to bottle feed (after they've been EBF)? Please please please!
You are a genius!!! Thank you always for educating us
This was so helpful thank you! I didn't have a great experience with my breastfeeding journey with my first. So I'm looking at EPing this time!
You are amazing and genuinely encouraging! I enjoyed your video. Thank you for the tips & love given to all Mommas. ❤️
Congratulations mama ❤️
What do you suggest if your breast still feel full after 15 mins of pumping and the milk flow has slowed or stopped.
Could you make a video on how to properly storage the breastmilk and how to warm and thaw it?
First time mom. Still pregnant. 4 weeks. Trying to learn as much as i can 🙏🏻✝️🤰
Great info, Brittany!
Same
Thank you. This is GOLD.
Thank you for all of the information.. I found it very helpful and makes me feel more relaxed about breast pumping ☺️
Do you have any tips for mom's with preterm babies?
Thank you for all your videos, they have helped me and my baby so much in our breastfeeding and pumping journey!
Can you do a video on relactation or give me some tips? My baby is 3 months old but I stopped exclusively pumping after 2 months due to lack of support and knowledge. I am ready to try again but my milk has dried up.
Omg yes!!!
If you’re exclusively breastfeeding and baby wants to be on the breast 24/7, do you need to pump at all to build supply? I find it tricky to find time to pump between keeping up with life and feeding babe! Any tips would be welcome.
If you are exclusively breastfeeding and baby is getting enough milk, you don’t need to pump!
Thank you. This blessed me.
So as soon as the baby is born, would I start pumping right away or would I just hand express the colostrum every 2-3 hours?
am exclusively pumping my almost 4 months old.
This video was amazing, empowering, and helpful. Thank you for being so supportive to us pumping mamas !!!
Can I start exclusive pumping 4.5 month pp? I have had a hard start to my breastfeeding during, but am also struggling to pump more than 2 ounces per session and even less during the afternoon to evening. What can I do? I’ve tried everything and really want to pump more! Thanks 😬🙏🏼
Hello I’m going through it now can you please suggest what helped you it’s too depressing that my milk supply is not improving
Did anything help
I’m trying to pump so I can work down the line but I need help when to try to pump and how to build a supply .
Can you do a relactation video, specially now for the formula crisis
is it ok to not wait 2-3 weeks before starting to pump? is it okay to start pumping as soon as you leave from the hospital
Yes. I actually pumped in the hospital before leaving
Same here!
Same experience
This video is extremely helpful thank you so much 😊
Fantastic, as always! Thank you!! Beijos do Brasil!
Need help on how to increase my milk supply :(
🤣🤣 I was looking for LDP (long distance pushing/pumping, on a longboard, for beginners...) To all mommas...cheers!!!
May I know if by lubricating the inner side of the flange with coconut oil there's a chance that some of it gets mixed into the pumped Breast milk (in the bottle)? Thanks !!
This video was meant to be. I just had my baby a week ago ❤️
I wish someone would talk about breastfeeding AND pumping for once for mamas that want to continue breastfeeding their babies but still have to work.
Thank you so much sister
Thank you so much ❤
Can you make a video on relactating I stopped about a month and a half ago and I’m trying to start again my baby is about to be three months this week but I’m a little discouraged
Thank you so much Bridget !!
