Freeze immune-boosting Lemon & Ginger Tea for a quick and easy way to pack in antioxidants, soothe an upset tummy, or help stave off nausea. Perfect for sick days. Take the cubes to work in a thermos and simply add hot water for serving.

In our supermarkets you can buy highly concentrated, 100% pure ginger juice, made from organic ginger, 200ml at about 4.50€.
You only need one or two teaspoons depending on the size of your cup, and a few drops of organic lemon juice.
2 small bottles stashed away in a drawer of my desk at work - no need to schlep a thermo bottle. Just pop up the kettle in the office pantry and you're done.

i sometimes wonder if excesive heat or cold can kill the therapuetic properties of certain natural products like ginger. i steep my ginger and do not to use boiling water.

Just got through drinking my homemade concoction. With ginger rosemary lemon and lemongrass honey crushed cayenne pepper and just a splash of brandy😁
FYI: Lemon and ginger are normally good sources of vitamin C, antioxidants, fiber, vitamin B6, magnesium, and potassium. However, dehydrating and boiling the ingredients tend to remove these nutrients, leaving only small amounts in the final tea.

Hi, so what do you recommend. Just shred ginger cut lemon and water not hot in ice cubes? I don't mind drinking it as a cold dr, nk but when u add cubes to hot wa, er are most of the nutrients there? Thank . ou I'm learning to take better care of me and appreciate any advice 😊

Vitamin c is sensitive to heat tho the vitamin c starts. Breaking down at just 86 degrees.
not all of it breaks down. You can wait to add the lemon for serving if you prefer.

I love this idea, but leave the peel on or peel ginger with a teaspoon (I promise, it’s awesome), and invest in a ginger grater - it’s so much better than a traditional grater and works for ginger and garlic.

TONE’S TIP - Don’t just have it now during the flu season, have it all year round, you will find you won’t suffer from hay fever either! Or anything much else! Especially if you add a teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoons of as many any other spices or herbs you like ! Stay healthy!

Why would you peel the ginger? Simply scrub it clean but leave on the skin for the vitamins.
yes but it's smoother tasting without. either way works.
i myself make ginger tea daily ..its not so much pain to make ginger tea daily but taking stale tea even though its frozen, will definitely be pain in the long run........the gadgets which have made our life convenient but work of our digestive system inconvenient are refrigerators and pressure cookers.....

It's also too much for me. I grate one huge ginger root into a container and scoop out what I need every morning. Lasts me about a month.
How hard is it to understand that making a batch of this is way easier than having to peel and crush the ginger and clean up the mess daily? Also very convenient for people with a busy schedule.
