Can we all take a moment to acknowledge how well constructed the safety barriers are on this circuit... Those things save multiple lives every day.

@@Marauder1981 i suspect you are not allowed on track with out either insurance or a guarantee that your check book can cover the harm you may inflict. The killing will come after the wife finds out the villa was lost this way.

Guard rails save lives. The bounce and give that they have as opposed to if you hit just a hard solid surface could be the difference in life or death.
@@iceman10129 yep, in the U.S. on the expressway system there are "GM" walls that a car designer named John Fitch designed while working for General motors. They have a similar concept. Take the impact energy and disperse it so that the impacting car and driver don't take the hit. He engineered a pretty cool car in the 60's that was all about safety and performance but got killed cuz it was based on components from the Chevy Corvair and when Ralph Naders book came out it killed the his Phoenix project. I saw the prototype before. Pretty interesting for 60's. The Fitch Phoenix.

Der Moment, wenn du realisierst, dass dein Daily Car, mit dem du morgen eigentlich zur Arbeit wolltest, Schrott ist, deine Versicherung Schäden auf Rennstrecken nicht übernimmt und du den Schrotthaufen trotzdem noch 8 Jahre bei Santander abbezahlen musst xD
Mit der Vorstellung hin, kurz mal 25 Ocken abdrücken und 30km Spass haben., und dann realisieren das so eine Runde schnell mal 15 kiloEuro kostet 🤣

@@macmartin86 I drove there with both my daily driver and track car, I went SLOW and let the faster drivers pass me by as it's not a race, now I can say I drove through the green hell numerous times... It's the people who act like they are racing who usually end up on the adac truck.

Yea it's clearly the golf drivers fault but the s2000 was craaaazy slow at this part of the track....
@@DrQualleFickmann They should only let people with racing experience out there, or have a separate tourist session. Racers know how to deal with slower traffic. I wouldn’t take any of my machines out during that circus that we saw in the video.

Cause of accidents in 90% of all cases: Excessive overestimation of one's own abilities combined with ignorance of driving physics.
Also don't drive a shitbox like it's a Senna that has infinite grip in high speed corners. So many FWD cars crash because they can't steer properly and loosen the back too much mid corner.

Amazing to see, notwithstanding a couple of massive crashes by M3s etc , most others were under steering front wheel drive hatches .
Coming out of Fuchsroehre and into the entry to Adenauer Forst is the scariest part of the whole circuit. Hugely quick, blind, and and barriers are insanely close to the track. It pretty much becomes a street circuit. If you understeer onto the grass, you IMMEDIATELY drift into the barrier. If you over-rotate over the crest, you’re IMMEDIATELY in the barrier. If you get your braking wrong on the uphill, you’re IMMEDIATELY in the barrier.
I'd go in intending to hit the barrier & make it through perfectly by accident.
These guys can't just drive a reasonable but spirited pace. Instead they're at and then over the limit of both traction and talent.
A street car belongs on the street not on a race track it's that simple

I'd like to see the look on the faces of the people at Rent4Ring when someone returns to say they've wrecked one of their cars. I wonder if they're sad or if they jump for joy with pound/dollar/euro signs in their eyes?...
They are rental company for a reason. There is a business model in that. So yes, crashing their cars will simply be insured by insurance and some small letters about huge fine / costs.
They actually have a very comprehensive liability model, that seems to not be too unfair against the customer (the absolute max you have to pay them if you total the most expensive car without the extra insurance package is 10.000€)

Der S2000 war viel zu langsam. Und der R allderdings zu schnell. Ändert aber nix daran das der R Fahrer noch was hätte retten können wenn der Honda da nicht mit 40 umhergedaddelt wäre.

Ich bin im Jahr nur 2-3 mal an der Nordschleife, aber jedes mal scheint es mir so, dass die Leihwagenfahrer immer Risikoreicher werden. Ich würde die ganzen Leihwagen wie Swift RS oder Clio RS vom Ring verbannen. Die Leute haben doch keine Ahnung vom Fahrverhalten des Autos, was sie sich für eine Stunde mieten. Aber das Auto, was man selbst besitzt beherscht man (hoffentlich) und kann es einschätzen.
Viele in den Mietwagen überschätzen sich nicht nur, sondern haben wohl auch weniger schmerz Gas zu geben, da ja nicht das eigene Eigentum ist... Tut weniger weh. (Wie teuer ist eig. so ne Rent4Ring Karre usw.? Die Versicherung muss ja heftig sein...)

Pepople who don't have enough driving skills and thinking to themselves as pro pilots... The 85% of the crashes can be avoided just taking off the foot from the throttle for a bit when the road is not flat and the car starts to bump....
Aber besser diese Fahrer leben ihr Ego auf der Rennstrecke aus als auf zivilen strassen .Ich finde es trotzdem sehr amüsant diese Videos mit ihren dann zukünftigen Schrottkarren

You can Google this! It's quite expensive! I've read about bills going up to €15.000,- excluding hospital and car costs (which is totalled and insurance doesn't pay).
Expensive: if you drop fluids on the track and ppl crash then they claim off you. You could lose your house etc.

s. Daniels ive seen in videos state that even a small bump like at 0:30 can be about 1.5-2k euros.

Good choice man. I think they should be tougher on people who time their laps, it's not a track-day! Start banning license plates when they're caught, most of those macho wannebe Ayrton Sennas upload their laps to youtube.
You can drive fast and have fun without timing your lap. In fact people who time their lap just want to brag to other people instead of just enjoying their time there. Guess you care more about facebook likes than driving.
Again: you can enjoy fast driving on the Nordschleife perfectly fine without timing your lap. Fact of the matter is: you're not a race driver. Don't act like one.
And yes, it is a public one-way toll road. If you can't understand that, don't go there please.

Taking laptimes IS forbidden for quite a while, once again, doesn't matter if you like it or not.
You should inform yourself, before you're trying to argue with someone who knows better than you. Just because you've worked in mid europe doesn't mean, that you know better than locals. That's just like saying "I've been to spain once, I know everything now".
IF you decide to ever go to the ring, you better make sure to know the rules, otherwise there's a ban waiting for you.

Every time I watch these I just think of how many wallets got emptied in seconds. Barrier repairs, recovery truck charges, closure charges, insurance excesses, shipping charges, physiotherapy, etc, etc.
A very expensive day out!
