This video represents some of the most common dangerous situations at the Nürburgring, like:
- Standing at dangerous places on track
- Overtaking on the wrong side (during TF)
- Ignoring yellow flags
- Debris on track
- Collisions
- Aggressive Driving
Keep in mind that it is illegal to overtake on the right during Touristenfahrten. There is no trophy at the end of a TF lap, so there is no need for laprecord attemps.
Always be aware about other (slower or less experienced) drivers around you. (Bikers, check your mirrors too!)
If your car breaks down, park your car in a safe spot (marked by orange barriers).
If you can't drive anymore or if your car has too much damage / leaking fluids, leave the car and get behind barriers ASAP!

You have the number plates. And there are cameras at the beginning of the track. Maybe its good when observers like you team up with ring operators so they can react to that. For example on most parking spots in city’s in poland you have to register your license plates. Something like that connected with the Green hell driving card would be a nice solution to contact the driver for what he has done wrong and maybe give him chance to learn the rules or get him banned if he’s ignoring it.
My wife loves watching your channel with me and she yells at the screen when you show the idiots doing these absolute no nos. She loves car racing and respects the sport so much. I don’t know if I’ll show her this one. She might get an aneurysm.

Amazed at how many people stop on the track and get out and crawl around under their cars never thinking that there’s 200 other drivers with as little experience as them coming along behind them who are going to leave the track right where they did!

I've been on this track. I have a Citroen C2 1.6 and 16V VTR 122 HP, I added a few extras, sports suspension, better brakes, and a few other modifications, especially for track driving. A small, light car, but this engine is fun. I see many people who come to the track to show off their beautiful, expensive cars that they drive every day, and on the track they cry and run next to the car as soon as it hits the curb.
10:05 This guy understeered into the corner, barely hit the curb, and then got out of his car to see if there was damage??? It should be obvious to any sane driver there's no damage in that situation, that's what the suspension exists for.
It's modern car, it probably went into limp mode or something and needed restart but he assumed he destroyed something on his dads car.

I’ve never been there but seen enough about this place to instantly spot all these mistakes. It’s unreal it’s ever still open to the public
People should definitely be permanently banned from the Nurburgring for not only endangering themselves but also everyone else on the track. Some of these were truly unacceptable, especially the guy in the blue C class.
All sign a release. Instating bans and more rules etc creates a situation that takes away the very reason this track is so popular. There are rules, regs and consequences if needed. All are adults.
but not everyone that races here act like adults and instead act like bitch ass children that need to be treated as such. We need harsher penalties against these wanna be pros that are too stupid to ever make it into the pros. They endanger alot of people trying to learn or just cruising. It would be very simple:
If you are not a registered/signed racer or verified retired pro racer you are not allowed to drive aggressively/inappropriately over take outside of designated events where its allowed. Breaking any of the rules results in either your car getting seized and crushed or take a perma ban from the ring. Offenders choice.@@jmc8076

I drive at The Ring every day but I'm happy to enjoy it virtually and because of that I can really push a chosen car to its limits safely. I would never get in that mix for real and with so much at risk.

Ever since I been in germany. That method they do at 0:45 while fast slowdowns, I always put my hazards on in real life as well. I love that about the Germans when on the autobahn and something happens, the cars send the signal back in the queue.
When you arrive at the car blinking with the hazards, you turn on yours. They turn of theirs. And when the one behind you turns on theirs, you turn off yours. It's such an excellent system not to cause more accidents.

While target fixation is a very real problem, I don't think that's what's going on in this incident. It looks like the guy standing there is trying to warn drivers about dangerous road conditions from a spill or something. That would explain the multiple other cars that were off track just around the corner.

I love how all the caution/slow area's are in the worst possible spot and then they set up the people in the second worst possible spot.
Nurburgring is definitely an intimidating place to go! I'm a very good road driver (and have done many track days), but obviously not a racing driver or anywhere near it, but the ring there's just so many crazy and good drivers flying past you in a $2000 car.
one advice to all who go to the RING: if you're not prepared to damage your car and drive along, and you need to stop to inspect the damage you caused yourself, then don't bother going to the ring. keep your car safe on the public roads. you're causing unnecessary trouble for everyone else and you're putting all around you in danger.
I am not sure about the exact rules but if you are close to losing parts especially in a curve, wouldn't that even be more dangerous to ignore?

For the track cleanup crew yellow flag instances, are there yellow flags being waved by flag workers before the corner that the track workers are parked on?
Thats exactly what I was thinking. The answer is sometimes, sometimes not. Can seem very unfair if youre on a quick lap and just round the corner there is a yellow. I really appreciate all of their work, especially the volunteers but sometimes they drop the ball.

What's with Europeans and not passing on the right, as long as it's safe (not in a corner) it's ok to pass on the right. Some of these people that sit on the left side, drive like grandmas and won't give the signal for others to pass is the reason why some people out there drive so aggressively
@@1mawesomel1kethat cuz blind spots and such are generally bigger on the right, Thus putting you in a higher risk while passing on the right. As well as increasing the chances of something going wrong. Which is typically not worth the trouble.

Bei einer TF ist es keine Rennstrecke sondern eine normale Straße, sprich du musst so fahren das du jeder zeit Anhalten kannst.

i really wish erveryone who wants to get a Ticket for Tourist Drive needs to complete a short Briefing like the ones you have when you go karting.
That way you could implement various Flag signals like "Dirt on Track" or "Slow car ahead". Another bonus of this is that you could ban people from the Tourist Drives by locking their Tickets so they need to visit another Briefing.
I think that would be a good way to make tourist drives more save, there are way to many idiots on the track. Most of them obviously dont even know the basic rules.

Yeah. But in all honesty, it was a "shit happens" moment. The first car really slowed down very abruptly and a tiny fraction of a second of misjudgement was enough for this to happen. After all nothing major happened. Massive respect for the reaction though.

We’d stay on the right part of the lane with right blinker on just enjoying the track while letting the speedsters go. If we want speed we’ll rent out a ride. One of the first jobs i had was mechanic on a go-kart track. When all the maintenance was done i also jumped in as a marchall and briefed each and every driver prior to a heat, no matter if u where a newbe, mediocre or pro driver. Why they don't do that at the Ring is still a surprise to me with such risks / high speeds
its to hard to monitor the entire 12 miles of the track. A go kart track is a damn site smaller

@@monstereng43I saw I think Mischa explain that a helmet isn't (necessarily) safer in a road car, since you're not allowed to wear a neck restraint so you essentially add 2kg of mass on top of your neck without proper support. At least that's what I understand from it.
It's different in a track car with roll cage and restraints.

Safety crew 3:42 is too far up the track. they are over the crest in a Blind spot. A drivers view is easily Blocked by a car in front.

You also have to think that there are very few people that don't consider themselves an "above average" driver...
I've been driving for over a decade, never had a crash, never had any fine or that sort of thing, I also took an extra driving course after my exam... I'm tempted to say I'm above average, but it's safer to just be assume I'm average.

They are still on the racetrack with amateur drivers flying past them. There are plenty areas where you can get behind a barrier and swap over if its really needed.
I can only imagine what happens on the parking lot after that. Pity AA doesn't film there, we could experience a whole new entertainment: Nurburgring: MMA days 🙃
