Restaurants fail often, it's just a difficult business to get into when there's an unbelievable amount of competition everywhere. Marketing is key but also very expensive.

The food is not problem with the establishment its the decour , I use to frequent a family owned restaraunt and their daughter died suddenly and they changed the decour of it to a tribute to their daugter and its like their depression about their loss started to hurt the business, People want to have a good time when they go out to a restaraunt not feel sad or depressed,
From being a business owner to managing in the food industry as well as watching alot of shows and books that save businesses I can tell you that it's extremely possible that the overhead for the food and fruit garnishes alone could be a huge impact on profit. Be fabulous but please be mindful of food, establishment overhead and price points. Alot of times in the black community we want people to feel they are getting their money's worth so we over give. Know your worth and Trust in God Trust that your product will speak for itself .. you can give beautiful amazing portions that work for both you and the customer.
