Well yes and no, you’ll look better if your just fundamentally more attractive, clothes enhance what’s there if your ugly or overweight your working against the tide, to presentable and put together you have to be put together in everything and it’ll show naturally
I have been following Ashley's channel for 8 months now, and I have been getting skyrocketing compliments from ppl on my outfits. Thanks for all the great content as usual!
🤣🤣🤣 I'm sure you do bruh. Let me guess. You love Banana Republic, JCrew, Club Monaco and Patagonia. No sense of individuality, just dress like everyone else.
ive enjoyed your advice for awhile, got a nice leather jacket, white sneakers, focus on basics and stuff like that. I feel like i enjoy more when you keep it simple and not act too crazy haha
I'm 36 and always just wear dark denim well fitted jeans and black shirts and my footwear is usually black non bulky boots or black vans thin soul surf skates for casual (not a bulky skate shoe). I'm a small man so I find it difficult to wear stuff that "men" wear because I feel like I'll look like a kid that's trying to look like a grownup 😆 at this age and my size I find it difficult to "rock a trendy look"
@1:38 I’m choosing guy on the left every time over anyone who strikes that pose but yeah point taken although maybe not the best illustration. More like “who’s shirt is too big and who is an Instagram model?” Compare this list to GQ’s 2023 list and it’s mind blowing. They want you wearing clogs, flare leg pants, and sweater vests (layering optional)
I agree with Ashley Weston. Men should dress like men. Since most men dress like boys, it is easy to put out a minimal effort and get a maximal result! I have a QUESTION FOR ASHLEY WESTON -- Do you worry about lint rollers leaving adhesive residue on clothes? Is adhesive residue a problem with frequent use?
That first tip is spot on, and should be common sense by now. Yet the fashion trends are going toward the oversized, boxy, 4 sizes too large fit for suits and clothes in general. Why the heck would a man want to look like a 5 year old boy playing dress up in his dad’s clothes?
How do you feel about Withings Scanwatch Horizon? I purchased one and receive compliments on it all the time. Then upon mentioning that it’s a smartwatch people start asking me for the link lol.
That watch looks cool! I don't want to speak for Ashley but to me the problem with smart watches is in not having a traditional watch face, they just look too tech bro-y, that Withings watch wouldn't be included in that category.
I did some research on which color shoes to wear with which color pants. Black shoes don't work well with beige or khaki. You're better off with oxblood, burgundy, medium brown, light brown, or tan. (That's not an exhaustive list.)
3:09 Ashley, do you realize you labeled a suede Baracuta G9 jacket as “cheaper and trendier” here? This is an Italian-made Harrington jacket, which you always promote and tout as a classic that never goes out of style. It retails for around $1,000, and happens to be very well-made. Who’s doing your video editing?
Hi Ashley, good vid! You give us something new every time. Hey, I have a couple of questions about sneakers. I have this gut feeling that the white ones might not be appropriate for all ages. How do you feel about other solid neutral colors (black, grey, beige or brown)?
I'm in my 50s. I wear a minimal black sneakers and minimal gray sneakers. I don't wear white sneakers, but they'd probably work with some of my summer outfits.
@@karlr750 Thanks for pitching in, mate. I'm a few years younger and I stopped wearing my white stansmiths in my 20s. My question is whether I'm limiting myself unnecessarily, or my gut feeling is justified. Though I must also admit two more reasons, 1st keeping white sneakers clean is tedious and 2nd white sneakers have an inevitable built-in obsolescence and show their age quite quickly, as opposed to grey or beige suede. White suede would be impossible to keep clean, perhaps that's why we don't see much of it.
@@GeorgeGeorge-bi8sm , you probably are limiting yourself unnecessarily. I avoid white shoes primarily due to the inconvenience (as you mentioned), so it's a bit of a moot point for me. I avoid sneakers with white soles for similar reasons.
Get models with different body shapes and create a wardrobe for them using these ideas. Show them getting measured with the right tailoring for T-shirts, pants, jackets, until you get to a suit. Show the brands and stores you used. Make a series of it with 4 or 5 different models. Would love to see this.
@@HaloLord-iz6xthow you could be so confused, love can’t only be with physical attractiveness, no my friend it’s all about the body language, attitude, personality, content and off-course a physically.

Hi Ashley, thanks for you content, great as always. I follow you since years, and I don’t remember if you ever done a video on men wedding suits trend; I am getting married this year, it would be very great to have it, that’s an idea 😉 Greetings from Italy 🇮🇹
Yeah no. Sure you can think of yourself but in the end you are still ugly and you’ll still be treated ugly. You will only help your mental state, not by a lot though
1:15 it doesnt matter the brand of clothing you have. If you dont know your tailors name you are failing. You can spent $50 on a goodwill suit get it tailored and look like a million bucks. Or buy a $700 suit from brooks brothers and look like trash.. All depends on you knowing yhe name of your tailor...
Excellent video. I'm really trying to step my fashion game up. However, it would have great to have examples of guys with different types in this video wearing properly fitted clothing. Thank you for all of the great tips.
I'll add that statement pieces are a great thing for a man to wear, but a man should wear no more than one statement piece at a time. One thing that Ashley said made me laugh.... *Ashley:* "There is no excuse for wrinkles." *Me:* "Linen?"

literately spent about a year reading multiple fashion blogs to learn what you said in 8 minutes. You definitely HER.
Stay thin and you can wear anything
Yep fat men are never stylish just like obese women
Having clothing that fits properly definitely helps
That's just not true. The ideal male physique is a 'V' (or more accurately, a 'Y') shape, not an 'I'.

Honestly your right to have an opinion should be taken away just based off this statement
Great video. Just one comment: lint rollers can damage your clothing as they are full of "sticky" chemicals. You can try a clothing brush instead.
Great point!
