- The Eco-Polo is a R&D study from the 1980ies and has extreme low fuel consumption. Based on a VW Polo 2 86C "breadvan" shell a supercharged and downsized 2-cyl DI-engine was installed to gain a consumption of 1,7L diesel on 100 km/h (138,36 mpg).
