Yea i think the old pan gasket had failed or the shop that did it before didnt torque it all the way. Ive been checking underneath the past few days and other than residual oil there isnt anything new and hardly anything on the ground, which is much better than it was before. Im thinking it was the pan gasket that was causing the leak.
I just had my Transmission Fluid exchanged less than 2000 miles ago. Checked it today after the o/d light was flashing and it looked low, more brown than red and full of particles. No leaks detected. What’s going on? 1998 Explorer 4.0 with 215K
Why didn’t they put a drain plug on these????
Is ATF better than Mercron V?
