your moustache is a crime, keep it
I dont know if i should agree or not.
Cuz its certainly a crime.
We did it baby. Tbilisi and Atlanta are buds. Georgia historically hates Spain (Florida) since Ponce de León.
I was 10 years old when Slovenia first qualified for EUROs, I'm now 34 and it's our 2nd time competing there and it's just unreal. It might take another 20 years before I see them play at a major tournament again so I'll cherish every second I get to see them play!
Also right after EURO 2000 the club I played for increased the U10 team from like 15 kids to 60 - this was in a small town where we struggled to have enough kids to fill every game and just that EUROs got so many kids interested to play and some of those went all the way and eventually played for the first team. After what we've done in this EURO I can imagine there will be a new generation of kids signing up for clubs and I love it because that's where our future stars might come from.
I enjoyed watching Slovenia. Sesko has huge potential but the other strikers are decent too, like Mlakar, Sporar, Celar,.. They need to be more efficient in front of goal tho, and create better chances, but at least they try!
What about the Panama win upset, that was pretty cool too :)
:(
he talked about it in the video
That's his previous video.
GEEEEEETT EMMM
Nah we don't talk about the World Champion of Soccer the USA, with Lebron James of Soccer in their side (Pulisic). You don't want Zealand tp die from the too many amount of Copium inhale in 1 day.
What's crazy is that Georgia had to knock out Greece to get into this tournament, the team that won it 20 yrs ago and is the posterchild for an international tournament underdog!
Both team beat Portugal in their first Euro too.
I always knew Georgia could do it. They play with such passion and heart, and they got that little bit of skill with Kvartskhelia as well. They've been my favourite dark horse team throughout the Euros and I hope they can beat Spain on Sunday
What the portuguese media is doing to António Silva shouldn't be done to any player in the world. They are trying to destroy my boy for not being good in a game that didnt change anything for us.
His career will fell off, and Pepe will still playing for national team until his ripe age of 60 years old, because if young players make mistake is a death sentey
thats what the euros are perfekt for. i never heard of anyone playing for georgia and even now cant pronounce one, yet i got myself a jearsey and hope that they can be a roadblock for the perfekt spain run
I will never forgive you for that disasterclass in pingu’s video

Talking about moments at the end, it ms not football but during the ice hockey world championships, when GB went 1-0 up against Canada i genuinely got up and sprinted round the house, never get moments like that in football for england. One of the reasons i love ice hockey
Roberto Martinez masterclass 🫡🫠
surely not playing 9 of your regular starters would mean something like this might happen
Portugal are straight up idiotic, 2-5 player rotations would make sense to test the synergy with some main/B players but something like this gives you no further insight for improvement/options and you’re just rotation back with -1 game for the main squad to improve their game play with each other.
Thankfully Georgia is good enough to punish that immediately!
Us Georgians (USA rahhh), are being represented by the Georgians, rooted for them since qualifiers.
Most us thing I‘ve seen

@@brownie62 dont worry I have family in Georgia (the country) too
Please talk about the 20 card game Czechia Turkey ref was hilarious 😂
Keep the stache
Georgia has made every rugby world cup since 2003. So that country has had a team in some sport compete at the bigest competition for that sport.
Making a major tournament and doing well can be huge for the future of a sport in that country. It can inspire the next generation.
Portugal didn't just suck against Georgia. They only won against Czechia due to a goal that should not have counted (their possession started with a goal kick when it should have been a Czech free kick), Turkey essentially self-destructed.
If they hadn't been handed the easiest group of the tournament as well as a third-place knockout opponent (some first place teams have to face second place teams), they'd be toast.
While it's true that a new team debuts in every edition, I regret to inform that we are running out of new teams. My hopes are in Kazakhstan for 2028.
San marino exists, dont worry
Has luxemburg ever played?

24 to 32 makes it less weird to go out and less groups of death. and i would also add that the top 8 qualifies for the world cup.
A 4 game win streak should not be a World Cup spot. I’d say the champions only should.
in this case qualifiers would turn into picking the 3-4 scapegoat countries that end up not going every year (hi San Marino and Gibraltar). which kinda defeats the purpose
@@Patrick61804 the qualifying system is dogshit. I would prefer the euros mean something more than win the tournament. You qualify by playing against good teams. Most times you qualify in trash groups vs malta and moldova.
when I see that mustache I hear banjos so it depends if you wanna give off that Alabama vibe or not.
Georgia easily my favourite team to watch at this euros, looking forward to the Spain match
I wouldn't overreact to this game from Portugal's POV but I'm also not picking them vs France in the quarters just like I would've done before the Georgia game
Georges Mikautadze is a unit, wouldn't be suprised to see him in the EPL soon
Break out a beard gandalf would be proud of
Zealand to give his thoughts on Euro and Copa Finals before start of European domestic seasons while we still vaguely recall what happened..? Honestly, not sure at this point!
Glad someone is finally speaking on the Ronaldo regression
I think the main issue (mine at least) with teams making the playoffs from the 3rd spot is that when groups consist of 4 teams, the 3rd group round often turns into the 3 teams playing boring football against the team in the 4th spot, no matter how the first 2 games went, cause usually the point gap does leave the chances for qualification for the 4th team, which tries its best, like Georgia (congrats Sakartvelo btw).
all in all this makes the group stage into more of a warmup for the big guys, cause in 70-90% of cases the last round would matter for 2 teams at best (3-4 places). the only motivation for the top 2 spots remaining (1) the specific opponent in the knockouts (2) personal preference lol .
Making groups larger even if that meant that one or two of them would have different number of participants who can proceed or just diff group sizes would make the variance and uplift motivation for all participants cause there are 5 actors and not 4 for example.
what I’m saying is that if there are n teams in a group, allowing n-1 of them to proceed creates this kind of situation, to generalize a bit. which can be solved imo by: either allowing 32 teams into the tournament and following the world cup format. but this kinda invalidates the purpose of qualifiers cause there are 53 countries under UEFA to start with, but either way following the “no more than n-2 proceed with n teams in the group” rule is essential to keeping things interesting in the 3rd round in 2/3 games instead of 1/3 as is with the current hybrid format.
Georgia remind me of Wales 8-10 years ago. An organised and hard working team with a brilliant player at the top end of the pitch
they have some other great players as well, mamardashvili (the gk) for example has been one of the best in la liga this season, one of their players, I forget who was also named austrian bundesliga pots
@@AjZ530 Wales did aswell ramsey davies, Allen etc but the point still stands
While I agree we played like garbage and didn't deserve to win, I'll say that the ref was very biased. There was a pen after a Georgian player grabbed Ronaldo's shirt.
Ronaldo was fortunate to remain on the pitch, deserved the yellow for dissent and continued to push his luck. Georgia have been a delight.
My take on the Ronaldo situation is that he isn't the problem, but sure as hell isn't the solution, either.
As for the number of teams, Portugal qualified twice for the World Cup and once for the Euros before the increase to 32 and 16 teams, the only reason it's a team people are used to seeing is because of the expansion, on the last 4 world cups three were playoff qualifications.
The European continent is the most talented when it comes to football so it was only logical to expand the Euros and allow more countries to qualify, and this EURO shows that is was the right decision and the newcomers have performed from decent (Albania) to very well (Georgia). However more European countries should be able to qualify for the WorldCup too in my opinion, the raise was too small.
I want to scale the Euros to 28 teams. 7 groups, only the 2 best third place teams out of seven will advance, would make that third place spot a lot more valuable and the group stage a lot higher stakes than it is now.

I always feel slightly sorry for America which has decided that it doesn't want to participate in the game that literally everyone else in the world plays. Pure joy seeing Georgia take on Portugal and come out on top, and I'm not even Georgian. Only international football can do this.
Watching Portugal doing fuckall and crushing out of the tournament as a consequence (Hungary) was very painful, but I am pleased for Georgia. They have been fantastic throughout the EUROS.
Freddy Adu mentioned
he’s turning into Alfie from HITC Sevens

The country of Georgia can also be called Sakartvelo if I am not mistaken.
I had to lol when I saw that twitch con was taking place in Rotterdam this year.
It’s the first time I’ve ever lived in the city hosting it and of course I’m away on business in NY 😂
You should try the Poké Bowl or Kiiro. They’re both just off Wijnstraat on Wijnhaven and Posthoornstraat round the corner from my apartment. Best food in Rotterdam 👍🏻
with the exception of england the euros have been pretty good
That was the absolute worst thing I've seen from Portugal for years, I don't care that we were playing backups, we man's tactic for the game was just put 10 man up the field and vibe it out, there was no plan when going forward or backwards, I don't wanna know what man's doing on training if that's what the team is doing on the field. We were grim vs Czechia, we were good vs turkey but also benefitted from massive frazzling. We're going out to Slovenia
Georgia will win the Euros for this video .
Slovenia had played in WC and this is 2 time in EURO. And Slovenia beat Portugal in Ljubljana (26.03.2024) with 2:0 result, and Portugal playing the Costa, Cancelo, Inacio, Pepe, Dalot, Pereira, Vitinha, Neves, Otavio, Felix and Ronaldo. And for your own spice, Slovenia beat USA in Toyota Field (San Antonio, TX) 0:1 (20.01.2024) with players that didn't even cut the biger roster before the EUROs!
The same statistic of every tournament having at least 1 new team also is true for the world cup, allthough only thanks to qatar hosting the last one since they were the only new team that time
Keep the moustache. Add some chops.
Yes. You have to be a good team to get into the Euros.
Georgia have already made it past the group stage of major tournaments more frequently than Scotland...
I get what you mean but right now ronaldo is better then Gonçalo ramos(sub for PSG and not great form) and Diogo Jota (shit finisher for portugal)...it's sad but at 39 he is still our best CF
Nah they are all better than cr right now, even Felix would be better as a striker
@@aditomasik5933 no, they aren't, never have been, you just have an agenda, and that 's kinda pathetic
@@aditomasik5933 felix played fine vs Geórgia but you must not have seen him as a striker very often. Very inconsistent and low presence in the area, would be more of a false 9 and the team is not design to take advantage of a false 9
Z you should talk about the insane group of 4s in this Euros
Not sure I agree with your broad argument here tbh - yes it's phenomenal that Georgia are in the R16 but most of your points were about how good it was that they were at the tournament at all (valid). I don't have any time for "in third place you haven't *earned* the knockouts" arrogance, but the fact is that contrary to what you said it makes most games in groups boring. So many Round 2 and 3 games were dead rubbers because both teams knew there was minimal jeopardy or a draw was enough. That's why the current format blows - it makes the groups dull. The sniff test bears this out too - compared to the WC or the AFCON this has been a boring Euros so far.
make it 8x4 (32) instead of 6x4 (24) teams. more teams can qualify.
i never predict stuff, but i confidently declared to my friend that georgia will beat portugal the day before it happened. i think i've peaked.
That would have been insane if you predicted it at the start of the tournament, the chances were significantly higher and realistic a day before because Portugal already won the group and decided to hard troll & disrespecting with their 9 players rotation 😂
Z I’m disappointed we’re not talking more about the absolute state the USMNT is

the euro championship referees are good at taking orders.
The Upset That Proves you always wanna play Portugal on last match days of big tournaments.
We all are waiting for the USMNT rant
one detail that i feel like you should've included, and i am not Portuguese, but the referee was shockingly and blatantly biased towards Georgia
Hopefully you‘ll get to see a couple of coffeeshops 😉
No moustache.
Yes, Ronaldo should be Fulkrug of Portugal the most. Considering that Ronaldo now is not even on Fulkrug level currently.

Georgia winning the euros
Togo was probably in 2006, I don't remember Togo at a World Cup and the first one I watched was 2010
Also for us Swiss fans obviously our teams goes to these international tournaments exclusively for Shaqiri bangers
it SHOULD change... the current system is extremly unfair. some group 2nd play vs group 2nd while 1st play also against 2nd. on the other hand some 1st also play vs group 3rd which just isnt fair
which euro game u gonna visit?cmon we know u gonna go.(u have to)
Can we replace our US state georgia with this georgia
u mean the team that got beaten twice by south korea in recent years? its not euros, its just portugal
Kind of a meaningless game when Martinez was basically experimenting with mostly B team players- but credit to Georgia for besting the backups, you don't see that everyday. Portugal are fine though, they don't look as sharp as Spain or Germany but they're comfortably the 3rd/4th most in form team.
I bet the Hungarians are fuming though. Having their fate decided by both the group F games. Portugal turned up with their B team and the referee gave every decision to Georgia. Georgia played their socks off so credit to them for that, but the result isn’t a miracle in my eyes. When the ref decides to finish the game in the 60th minute with a terrible penalty decision
360s😂🤣
Togo was 2006
I put a curse on Ronaldo as a Romanian. Letting Georgia win is classless
No stache
If Portugal had anything to play for that game they'd easily win imo.
actually they wanted to lose against Georgia to face Slovenia rather than the Netherlands. This video makes no sense
@@damianmurillo They were already qualified in 1st place after the second round with no way of finishing 2nd. They were in that half of the bracket either way
@@damianmurillothey had got stuck at 1st place
@@damianmurillo We would have faced Hungary, not Slovenia.
Have you ever seen Portugal play? it is obvious that Portugal only has big names, but any team with some sort of fire to actually win will beat them easily. They play like the ball is one of those scorching metal balls that had videos trending a couple years ago. They barely support the ball carrier, and they simply don't show any desire to actually be at the tournament
The fact that I moved out of The Netherlands a month before TwitchCon is building a bit of regret.
Making the euros 32 teams would just make it better from a competitive standpoint
Less elite, but more logical by removing this idiotic 3rd place rule
Nah. Makes the qualifiers feel almost pointless. And that’s coming from someone who’s nation lost in the playoff final. If you add 8 more teams to the euros, maybe 2 of them are on the quality of someone like Denmark. By having more teams, the big teams are more likely to have an easier group and get to the knockout stage, removing the 3rd place rule would also make it harder for small teams to get through. What I like about the euros is that with 24 teams, the group stage is meaningful and hard. Spain and Portugal were the only teams who had nothing to play for in the final matchday, the other 22 teams all had something to fight for. Because of the 3rd place rule, there’s more incentive to finish top in your group, as it’s the only way to get a somewhat easier game in the last 16. The super competitive part of the World Cup only begins in the quarter finals, whereas the super competitive part of the euros starts on probably matchday 2 of the group stage. That’s a mix of the things I’ve already mentioned and also the standard of football being better at the euros
@@RogerVanDamme5 Poland also had nothing to fight for but thats besides the point
The 3rd place rule only seems good because by having 24 teams a lot of good/exciting teams end up in 3rd where otherwise theyd end up in 2nd at least
Also an unrealistic option is reducing the number to 16 again, wich would be better than 24
Also your point about quality is irrelevant, nobody had seen georgia coming, croatia was supposed to be a strong side, point being you can't just say that the new teams coming in would all be lower quality cause we dont know how any team will perform at the euros compared to the qualifier.
Also my bus is coming so I aint got more time to argue and this comment is way too chaotic already, sorry, bye, have a good day
qualifying as a 3rd placed team is being rewarded for mediocrity
Gotta lose the 'stach
I don't get whats crazy about that match lol, Portugal was already locked in first (and couldn't miss getting pass the GS because of the broken best 3rd system) and played ther b team at 50% intensity in what for them was essentially a meaningless match and Georgia won it.
There's a reason why most matches in the last date were ass or boring ties. Euros should expand, the current system is broken and punish small countries like Ukraine with death groups while bang average NTs gets a free pass.
Antonio Silva in this game vs georgia made phil jones look like prime maldini fr (before anyone says "but he had a bad game" he has played badly for years in the national time dunno how he even gets called up)

@@vitormanuelfernandes5353 not saying this bc he’s a benfica player 💀💀😭 i rate joao neves, unlike antonio silva, whomst is overrated asf
To me it show why the 3rd round is full bullsh*t macthes, Georgia beating Portugals second team is not worth 3 points. Big team souldn't influence which teams go through by just not giving f*ck, because they are already made the the round of 16.
Don't tell my that Croatia and Hungary wouldn't beat Spain or Germany if the ply there second teams.
yeah no fuck that, portugal played their substitues, and now my country fell out, because portugal threw a match, fuck’em.
Togo not Tonga Z. 😄
Obviously, I agree that Ronaldo isn't the player he used to be but Goncalo Ramos is still just so much worse than 39 y/o old Cristiano. The problem is you're comparing current Ronaldo to his prime instead of his replacement, and Cristianos off the ball movement and the runs he makes a far more intelligent and they actually make space for Leao, Bruno and Bernardo. I'm pretty sure he knows hes not the main man anymore.
When a loss would pair Portugal with Slovenia why would they want to win? To play against the Netherlands?
Thank you for talking about the success of the national team of Georgia. Now make the video about Austria vs. The Netherlands. I will chase you until you make that video so we both know you finally will do it.
spain replaces all team with B team and wins easy
portugal replaces half team and still send on ronaldo and get smacked xD
This was great, but you are still wrong about the tournament format.
Get rid of the stache.
32 teams
discontinue with Euros qualifications
every team in nations league A and B is qualified for Euros and C and D fight in Nations league for the remaining slots.
this way nations league is interesting and people finally start watching the games (as German i not even watched the German games i don't know who won it and whenever a nations league title is listed anywhere i am feeling like its absolute worthless)
this way there are less games for players to fatigue and more in euros where we want to watch them and euros become bigger and cooler and nationsleague wins ...
THIS IS THE WAY TO GO
Georgia v Portugal is probably my favorite match so far.
first to watch😂🎉

Get off, it was a massively important game. It pretty much decided if Georgia goes through to the knockouts or get grouped.
Portugal lost on purpose so they have to play Slovenia and not Hungary
