I did the Bolder Boulder back in 1990 when I was a graduate student at UNC (Northern Colorado). Even back then I think they had 30,000 runners in the race.

Au contraire; I lifted weights at 5 am today and I'm hiking Mount Sanitas this afternoon. Never before in my life have I run a race, and been functional the next day. It feels great!
Good God that is over the top, I luv it! Now I'm smiling from ear to ear. Imagine parents today, letting their 6 year olds run a race by themselves sans helicopter, and yet that race is likely safer than ever for such freedom...

@@duzer the Tennis family, at least Kit and Craig were from Iowa. Kit and Craig are probably in their late 60's and early 70's. Jan Tennis died years ago. Neal lived in California, remarried to Sonny. I think both are dead now. Craig also lived in California, Big Bear. His wife was Brie.
