lol, i bet it felt like a brick at the 80mile marker , in the meanwhile if you ever decide to adventure over the pond and visit the UK for a bit of two wheeling , I can hook you up with a friend and organiser of the Hard Moors ultra race serious , 160 or 110 should be your cup of tea
An impressive athlete. An even more impressive human being. Showing an interest in others, spreading joy, and expressing gratitude while gutting out 24+ hours of running…is just beyond remarkable. Thank you, Ryan.
When my husband and I sat down to watch this video - we thought - an hour? You did such a great job talking to the camera and editing that we were surprised when it ended. It seemed more like 20 minutes. Great job showing us what it was like and also coming in 55th!! The comment from 1982Lancia says it all. Thank you for sharing.
It’s amazing that you can put yourself through so much pain and still be interviewing people during the race. Picking up the camera while you’re struggling is heroic - a true inspiration in your adventures and your filmmaking Ryan.
Im excited about the fact that I saw you passing me and I’m on this video for 1 second haha. It’s a Fantastic memory, thank you for putting the right words in the right places. Thank you thank you and congratulations for such accomplishment! 🙌🏼
Tears of enjoyment and great pride seeing you finish and the lady’s there at the finish that got me man that was one amazing beautiful thing to watch good for you brother keep on smiling.
0:55 “people thought I was a freak and they still do” Well good for you Ryan for not “fitting in” or living to the judgements of other people for approval or worth. God bless you, you’re an inspiration to people all over the world 🙏
I agree with Michael L. You are a Fantastic Freak because you don't do what's socially expected of us. Keep getting better and I wish you all my best! Thanks for helping this little ol 43 year old previous couch potato actually belive I can do an ultramarathon (signed up for my first 50k next august); I'm about to concur my first marathon this Sunday and I keep watching all your running videos to keep my motivation high. 😊
Outstanding. ALL the feelings at the finish line! This accomplishment honored all the great things you’ve done in life so far, and the people who’ve helped and inspired you. Finishing a 100 is a special thing. Well done.
Thank You Ryan for filming your Run. It truly was wonderful to accompany you and see first hand what you endure. Your Spirit and heart and love for humanity are vast!
Ryan you are an absolute inspiration! Thank you for setting a positive example of how to treat aid station volunteers in the crowd. I love seeing you on your bike around Boulder and your smile is infectious.
I was hoping you’d make a video of the race and you delivered. I can’t even imagine how much extra work that must’ve made for you! You’re an amazing individual Ryan! Love your videos :)
Fantastic achievement Ryan. Very inspirational. Thank you for filming it. I’m from the Uk & enjoy cycling and running and Kayaking but lost my mojo with the running recently. After watching your video I was inspired and Just got back from a 5k run along the canal.👍😀
Damn Duzer that was amazing! I was crewing and pacing out there, it was such an incredible day and the energy was unreal! Your film captured the awesome vibe of this brilliant race! Well done 24h is a proper good time :)
I was there to pace someone (unfortunately she sprained her ankle before Twin Lakes and missed Winfield by 2 min). It was such a fun experience still. Being in Leadville during this race week was so exciting!
I just sit watching your videos with a shit eating grin on my face. Every. Time. I may or may have teared up with you at the end. What a great spirit animal you are, Ryan. Best always.
HUGE thumbs up from me Ryan! You sir, are an incredible athlete and a stellar human being. Much respect my friend, much respect! Thanks for taking us along for the ride, and being so incredibly candid about the entire experience! I hope your recovery is quick!
Congratulations. Thanks for letting us follow along. You and Nick Bare really showed your followers how to reach down when it is tough and how important it is to have a great team of people around you. Great examples for sports and life.
Just watched this again, and I love how you brought the Leadville Trail 100 run course to life for me. I love your cinematography and how I feel like I’m on the course with you. You da man, man!
Can't believe you kept filming even when you were totally trashed. Way to go. Thanks for sharing. Biking is a lot easier than running. But maybe you need to consider Leadman for next time!!!
Congrats on completing this. I did my first 100k ultra at age 60, 6years after surviving a cabg x 4, with 35 kms being my longest run - ever. I definitely feel your pain. Going back next March for my 5th entry and this video gives me a little more incentive to step it up - thank you Ryan.
Wow, thanks for capturing this race and great job. Your energy the entire way through is incredible. But your appreciation for the founders of the race says a lot about your character. Cheers.
Ryan, your enthusiasm never fails to put a smile on my face. Amazing effort! Your attitude to life and challange is inspiring! Much love from Australia!
Dude I’m bawling. This was such an emotional video. I actually am not sure I’ve ever watched a TH-cam video that long and just couldn’t stop watching it. I’m so inspired by how you just kept smiling and laughing! 🥰🙌 Huge Congrats!
What a whole lot of mind blowing positivity! Energy all around! High five from Germany, Ryan! You made me smile all the way through! Guess I’ll be waking up with a grin on my face tomorrow morning. Thank you man!
Not just that you are a next level athlethe physically - but your mental game is out of this world my friend. Cheering the other people, greeting em, the little things kinda - man cant tell you how much i appreciate you as a human beeing :) much love from the bavarian forest
This is amazing! So happy for you. I love the excitement. Makes me want to get on my bike and do a 100 mile ride...not a race, but a ride. Haha. I'm going to be that guy that yelled out Duzer!!! I'm going to cheer you on when you come back to AZ. Thanks again for sharing and congrats!!!
Congrats Ryan on a great race. The word inspiration only begins to describe you. Keep us on your journey because it is a story of a life well spent... Peace out!!!!!
I am just in awe of what an amazing human being you are Ryan. I really felt the love for others in this video, and likewise the love others have for you.
It was a joy to watch your 💯 mile success story! You had me smiling and laughing throughout!! The pain cave you go in is deep to complete such a hard race!! Congrats on a great video documentary!!👍🙌
What a truly amazing accomplishment! You never cease to amaze and capture the best of humanity in the process. You roughed it out, pushed yourself to your limits and overcame another 100 miler! Hold your head up high, Duzer! 🏃♂️💨
Another awesome accomplish Ryan! I know you had to dig really deep to get through this race and I'm sure you will look back on those 24 hours with fond memories in the years to come. Very, very few people will ever accomplish something like this but knowing you and your humility, only the people who watch this video will understand that you did it. Congratulations!
Ryan! what a phenomenal video. You're a BEAST, a BEAST that spreads joy and what you did is an awesome accomplishment. I'm proud of you brother. I've taken quite a bit of inspiration from you. Keep doing what you do and stay safe.
I can only think that there are people out there who surf youtube arbitrarily hitting the dislike button. I'm not sure how anyone could dislike ANY of Ryan's content. Congrats on an awesome achievement and letting us tag along!
Way to go Duzer! You truly are genuine showing so much gratitude and encouragement to others. That's what's up and way to go in getting through the pain.
Such an inspiration Ryan, you inspire me to ride longer on my bike, just finished my 2nd and 3rd 100km on my bike. Watching this one made me smile and cry, took a long time to be ok with being lgbtq, so seeing you so happy about a pride flag hit my heart.
Ryan! You are a beast of a runner. Going into the pain cave and endure it for a full 24 hours is something else! You should absolutely be so immensely proud of yourself for that achievement. Running these ultra distances isn't just a physical feat but also a mental one. The body will almost always come up to a certain threshold where it wants to quit and then the mental aspect comes in and wills the body into forward momentum. Having that mental strength of knowing that you can push beyond those boundaries is priceless and looks like you have that in abundance! You encourage all of us to find that physical boundary for ourselves and then push beyond them, just like you routinely do on your epic bike tours and ultra-distance running. You are an inspiration to us all! Thank you Ryan for sharing your experiences with the rest of us!
Wow, what a day! You filmed that in such a way that I could feel the joy, the camaraderie, and of course the suffering. I don’t know if it makes me any more willing to sign up for a 100 (let alone the LV100), but if I do, you have laid down a great example of how to live the day. Way to dig deep!
I was a runner at one point in life. I'm Amazed that anyone is able to be so Bright and Cheery while running. I was pretty good, but it was rarely a euphoric experience. Wish it was. Good on you!
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! I loved watching this so much. Your positivity, the way you engage and support other runners, and your attitude of gratitude is what makes the running community so great. Congrats on the finish!
Only a few minutes in and just want to say thank you so much. I have a race 10 days away and I’m struggling with emotions that I am not physically ready for the race. I really needed to hear that message tonight. It is these hard ones that are the most rewarding. And this is what I have been training for. Thanks
Thx for your honesty! Seeing you in the pain cave for the last 10-20k and pushing thru it was extremely motivating. I’ll remember that when I do my first ultra next March 2022
Congratulations Ryan! This was an amazing achievement. You absolutely deserve to feel proud of yourself for this. Thanks again as always for sharing your experiences with us. You really make many smile and that really an amazing gift.
Go Ryan, you did brilliant great running and you are so amazing the world needs more people like you so positive and encouraging to everyone around you 😊
Huge congratulations Ryan, that was just an awesome effort! Running 100 miles on the flat would be a massive achievement but in that terrain its just mind blowing (and filming it at the same time wow), you deserve a good rest after that for sure!
Absolutely amazing, Ryan! What an accomplishment. Thanks for bringing us along with you and letting us experience you going through so many phases over those 24 hours. Your positivity, even when you were at your low point(s) was inspiring. Ryan: "Usually I like to finish races strong..." You finished SO STRONG! Ole!
Did I just get a world record for running 100 miles with a camera in my hand?? Haha!! Maybe next time I’ll do the bike race ;)
Do the bike race
I’m not sure but it had to cost you 2-3 hours 😂
Yeah you did it!
You were supposed to take the drone and get some overhead shots while on break.
lol, i bet it felt like a brick at the 80mile marker , in the meanwhile if you ever decide to adventure over the pond and visit the UK for a bit of two wheeling , I can hook you up with a friend and organiser of the Hard Moors ultra race serious , 160 or 110 should be your cup of tea

Thank you for watching this LONG video ;) Meeting people out there is one of my favorite parts of racing
Duz, to run 100 is one thing, to talk and film at the same time! damn....
Gutsy ,courageous, awe inspiring, and no whining or feeling sorry for himself,a true legend and a joy to watch
These videos are the ones that make me want to visit America. All the news been killing the vibe honestly.
Watched the whole video and enjoyed every minute of it. Your enthusiasm for life is admirable. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate that! And I get my energy from the people around me, LOVED that vibe out there

Damn Duzer, you are THE MAN!!!Always a pleasure to see Dana and Zantha, and Mom!
It’s amazing that you can put yourself through so much pain and still be interviewing people during the race. Picking up the camera while you’re struggling is heroic - a true inspiration in your adventures and your filmmaking Ryan.
Youtubing takes priority over being a whiny crybaby. haha. Plus, talking to people helps distract me from pain :)
Im excited about the fact that I saw you passing me and I’m on this video for 1 second haha. It’s a Fantastic memory, thank you for putting the right words in the right places. Thank you thank you and congratulations for such accomplishment! 🙌🏼
