Just the fact that Jackson can still sing this song and sound like himself is a real pleasure for an old radio DJ like myself. As I listened, I flashed back to hanging out in Gene Shay’s basement, and the photograph of a very young Jackson Browne, sitting on a couch, backstage at the Main Point. Music is such a powerful aspect of how our human memory functions.

Jackson Browne has always created beautiful songs that have deep meaning. He is a true professional And is an artist true to the power of music. Browne cares so much about the Earth 🌎 and doesn't just talk about pollution, he takes action. Every song he has written is a powerful testament to his beliefs And for that he has earned my respect.

@@kitano0Those gents played on so many great recordings from the 70s -- Jackson Browne, James Taylor, and Carole King among my favorites. Lee's bass lines in the quiet moments are often what endeared me to those songs, and caused me to wear out at least one JT album. So great seeing them here, together in the same room (like recordings used to be done, so the musicians can play off each other). Very happy that all of these artists are still out there, making music!
(And bummed that I couldn't get to see Jackson last month at the Beacon Theater, or James last weekend at Jones Beach. We're all getting older, but my hips have aged faster than all of us.)

Thank you for this performance of "Doctor My Eyes." Here is a quote from Steps to Knowledge about seeing the world with new eyes. "I wish to see a world I have never seen before.... Today... feel your desire to see a different world. Look at the world without judgment and say to yourself, 'I wish to see a different world'... Practice no matter how you feel, no matter what is occurring. You are greater than your emotional states and so you need not deny them... You are greater than the images you see around you, for they mostly represent your judgment upon the world. Practice this day looking without judgment and feeling as you look."
