Lastly to my king of strings Carlos Santana; I saw you at Tanglewood when you and your band were touring your debut album with the lions head Santana. So thank you Carlos Santana and of course Santana for that gift to me, because music changes everything and makes good things happen.

She does not get the recognition she deserves. 2. Carlos Santana is a GREAT session musician. 3. Wilkenfeld's bass lines are FANTASTIC! Carlos been playing this song for over 50 years & it still sounds good. I remember we played this in our band in Morocco in 1972, it took me a day to get the bass part right, it was a new feel for a blues -man. The moroccan guys were very patient with me.
Carlos is still the best musician on this planet. I've loved his music and style since the early 70's. Finally got to see him live in Vegas last year. A dream come true for me.
I was 15 ,it was the sixties, what a wonderful time to be alive. We were so lucky to experience such music first hand. Santana was one of many groups that got into your heart and soul. No use of 4 letter words or talk of killing
Maravilhoso... Essa mistura de músicos não tão famosos ou amadores com gigantes da música é sensacional. Santana é um monstro, um dos maiores da história da música. Parabéns ao Playing for Change.
Senor Santa. I am humbled to have grown up with your music. Thank you for keeping the light shining. Music is healing. I write poetry, can't sing a note. Lol but I grew up with your music. Singing winds, crying beasts. Just, unreal. ❤Thank you for being a solar flare.
Fantastic, Carlos sounds as good today as he did 40 years ago, the whole thing, every one, all the percussionists and are you fricking kidding me with that B3 solo!!! ....Wow guys..just wow.
What a brilliant team of musicians, so delightful. Each and everyone👌 Thank you Carlos Santana and Sydney, Tal, Carl Perazzo, Cory Henry, Tito Puente (& Jr.) and all the other super talented musicians for making it 🙏🎶🥁🤘

Magnifique reprise de ce titre de Santana par tous ces musiciens du monde :) IT'S PERFECT :) Comme j'aurais voulu y participer avec ma basse .... BRAVO !
Fabulous, everyone! I have always loved Carlos Santana - but especially because his greatest hits album became my daughter's favourite for falling asleep to for her daily nap as a toddler! There is no-one like the great Santana and you did him proud. 💐 Happy Birthday for yesterday, Carlos Santana.
This whole series is great in concept, though I have heard a few that weren’t for me, and really fun. The level of talent playing many great songs is spellbinding. All of the musicians on this song were great but all I have to really say is “That bass though!” Tal Wilkinfirld has such touch and really owns the groove, not only in this song. The love of this song comes through.
This is amazing. Carlos Santana is one of best guitarists ever. Got to see him last year and the show was amazing from start to finish. He plays with so much passion. Even went home with one of Cindy’s sticks.
We love to see our musical brother Tito Puente Jr jamming his Father's song with Carlos Santana, Cindy Blackman, Karl Perazzo, Cal Wilkenfel, Ruben Rada, and everyone else around the world. It's a beautiful thing and demonstrates how music brings people together. BRAVO!
So awesome to see Tito, Jr. killing it on his father's own composition. Reminds me of watching Jason Bonham at the Led Zep induction, and Robert Plant tearing up watching Bonzo's son stepping in for his dad. Tito Puente's music is the most grooving around - if your toes don't start tapping, you better check your pulse. I love this series -- reminds us all of the transcendent power of music - the true global language.
I've been listening to Carlos Santana since the late sixes and he keeps on delivering on his songs to this Day!! Thank You Carlos for all the great yrs listening to you.
@@justafanintexas7913 You're right, of course. Before Santana hit big, Tito Puente was a star; after Santana hit, Tito famously said, "We all play Santana music now."🤣 Still, Santana still delivers, even in his senior years. Gotta love those beats, and the way the music sets your toes to tapping and your hips to wiggling!♥️

@@ajsmusic2561 if thats all he is, then where does that leave U.....absolutely no where, thats where.....Long Live Santana!!!
@@FkELONMUSK Bryan, You suck on guitar so please stay out of this? Thanks...
Love this. Becky G is adorable too ❤️
Love this whole series. This is the way humans should be, and obviously can be.
If only we could heal the hatred in this earth with music, what a wonderful world it could be.
Totally agree
Music, Food, Dance, Art, and Humor are the Five Common Threads of Humanity. These exist in all cultures and should be shared with everyone.
Very well put.💜
💯‼️
Carlos been playing this song for over 50 years & it still sounds good. I remember we played this in our band in Morocco in 1972, it took me a day to get the bass part right, it was a new feel for a blues -man. The moroccan guys were very patient with me.
And he didn't write it, either, Tito Puente did.
Carlos is still the best musician on this planet. I've loved his music and style since the early 70's. Finally got to see him live in Vegas last year. A dream come true for me.
Great gift to the world!
Y el músico uruguayo Rubén Rada, que sorpresa!!! Me encantó.
I was 15 ,it was the sixties, what a wonderful time to be alive. We were so lucky to experience such music first hand. Santana was one of many groups that got into your heart and soul. No use of 4 letter words or talk of killing
U got that right I loved that time 74 and still love the music ❤❤❤❤❤
Maravilhoso... Essa mistura de músicos não tão famosos ou amadores com gigantes da música é sensacional. Santana é um monstro, um dos maiores da história da música. Parabéns ao Playing for Change.
OHHHH YEAHHHHHH SANTANAAAA THE GATEWAY TO THE SOURCE
Senor Santa. I am humbled to have grown up with your music. Thank you for keeping the light shining. Music is healing. I write poetry, can't sing a note. Lol but I grew up with your music. Singing winds, crying beasts. Just, unreal. ❤Thank you for being a solar flare.
Fantastic, Carlos sounds as good today as he did 40 years ago, the whole thing, every one, all the percussionists and are you fricking kidding me with that B3 solo!!! ....Wow guys..just wow.
I gotta say I recognized exactly who it was just from the sound LMAO
What a brilliant team of musicians, so delightful. Each and everyone👌 Thank you Carlos Santana and Sydney, Tal, Carl Perazzo, Cory Henry, Tito Puente (& Jr.) and all the other super talented musicians for making it 🙏🎶🥁🤘
👍
Carlos, Cindy, Tal and Tito jr: no other words for music.
After living with this song along with all the other masterpieces by Carlos and co for the better part of 60 years , I still feel so great full as blessed thank you all!!!!
Magnifique reprise de ce titre de Santana par tous ces musiciens du monde :) IT'S PERFECT :) Comme j'aurais voulu y participer avec ma basse .... BRAVO !
Music is the universal of live and loss. Nothing but admiration of each other. What a performance! ❤
COREY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WilkEnFELD... fyi.
She plays bass in Jeff Beck's band, IIRC.

This is amazing. Carlos Santana is one of best guitarists ever. Got to see him last year and the show was amazing from start to finish. He plays with so much passion. Even went home with one of Cindy’s sticks.
One of the BEST Santana jams EVER!! Get it Carlos !!!❤🙏 He's still got it.
I'm confused. Isn't a young woman playing percussion for Carlos?
SO nice to see Carlos with Playing For Change! Might be my fave version of Oye Como Va since the original... nah, it IS my favorite version!
Love this version
I've been listening to Carlos Santana since the late sixes and he keeps on delivering on his songs to this Day!! Thank You Carlos for all the great yrs listening to you.
"Abraxas" on 8 track at home with the lights down low for me. That's about the same era I imagine.
This isn't "his song" it was written by Tito Puente. But now he owns it.
@@justafanintexas7913 You're right, of course. Before Santana hit big, Tito Puente was a star; after Santana hit, Tito famously said, "We all play Santana music now."🤣
Still, Santana still delivers, even in his senior years. Gotta love those beats, and the way the music sets your toes to tapping and your hips to wiggling!♥️
Play, play, play, my friends! ❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏
That sound was powerful. Just fantastic energy, spirit, rhythm, and expertise, etc, etc, etc....
