- Hi friends! 🤗
In this video, I share everything about post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), including what it is and what treatments are available to manage this common condition. Unfortunately, there aren't many good clinical trials looking at these treatments targeted at PIH. I have linked some of the research evidence behind the common treatments used for PIH.

Skin exfoliation and pico lasers are game changers
Good job thank you
i had pih after i did a laser treatment to reduce my freckles. My dermatologist suggested to start on low dose retinoid, while my aesthetic doctor suggested to stop it since hes afraid it will worsen the condition, so currently im on oral sunblock and a moisturizer(the ingredients is as stated in other treatment in ur video -arbutin,egf,tranexamic acid). Fortunately i do see some improvement though very minimal.after two weeks.
Hi, did you see the benefit of the treatment? I will be very happy if you answer because I'm experiencing the same situation :(

What is your suggestion for treatment?? You said kojic and hydroquinone don’t work with research. So what do you recommend?
he did not say kojic acid doesn't work. he said that according to research , kojic acid works better if combined with other ingredients like chemical exfoliants
@@yoodevil he did say kojic doesn’t have enough research to back up that it does help pih
@@hotsauce2422 yea ig he meant that. According to other derms kojic acid works better when combined with chemical exfoliants
hello brother i am from nepal can i contact you privately plz?
Hi, you can contact me via my email address in the description.
Somehow I like this video and you enthusiasm and there is quite a bit of good information in it. However I basically watch a 15 min video to be told to go see a doctor. So it is a little confusing. I hope you do not take this. The wrong way I still will subscribe to you.
Thank you for liking the video. You are right - unfortunately, a lot of the treatments mentioned in the video need to be prescribed by a doctor. This is so to ensure that people are safe to be on the treatments and that any side effects can be addressed promptly. 😊
