I ordered a 2ss 1le in December at MSRP, the car will go in production tomorrow. Can’t wait to drive a manual v8 again. Best sports car for the money.

Good video! We can make good profit from our cars especially if you bought it before the pandemic you would make a lot of profit. That’s how I was able to get my wife in her vehicle she wanted. Then came back around and got my new Camaro for a good price again🤷🏾♂️ Car market weird I guess lol

You forgot the upgrade on the tires with the 1LE package was quite a bit more costly, and worth every penny. 😎

Luv the video I feel like you made the right choice trading in the Golf R for the Camaro but it would have been awesome if you could have had both, but now you have the STI and that car is pretty awesome too, looking forward to seeing the video on that one!

Yup I literally just call or drive by dealerships now and ask them if they're marking up the vehicles I'm interested in and if the answer is yet, then I'm on to the next one lol.

Thanks brother I didn't order it, at the time it was the only manual SS within 700 miles of me that's why I got it the way it is.
I wouldn't sell the STI right now. I think they could go up in value quite a bit in the next few years. I would take the profit on the Camaro while you can and buy the Z with that money.

@@RaceCarFriends Due to dealer markups and crazy gas prices, I think my next car is a Tesla Model 3. I'd love to have the new Z but after contacting two dealers, they are already talking ADMs and we don't even know what MSRP is yet. I just need to sell the Mustang to make room first.
I see the camaros keeping their value more then the STI but you never know. Especially the m6 1LE packages. 2SS even better since theres is so few available at a given time. I can always find STI's fairly consistently. Wish the evo stuck around and gave the STI some more direct competition. I personally always preferred the evo to the STI but the competition kept it fresh even though the STI hasnt really changed much in over a decade.
I wonder if cars are going to keep going up or if they will go back to normal prices. Clean Camaro tho

@@fastlife35 why ? They were higher in this this time because of Covid ( chips and manufacturing slowed down ) . The economy also rose 8% in inflation in just a month , its going down now and with home interest rates rising , not a lot of people buying homes now . First time in awhile I’m seeing open houses in California . Idk I’m curious why you think they’ll go up , to me their would be no reason to , it might take a few years but we’ll be back to 2019 prices maybe lower with new hybrid and electric vehicles taking the podium ..

I got a 2018 1SS 1LE with 19k miles you think I would have the same outcome as you if I were to try to sell it?
Right now the trade in value for you car is between 38k to 42k and if you were to sell it yourself you'd be able to sell it for around 43k or 44k.
My only TRUE grip with these SS’s we have. Especially the 18 & up models. Is that the front looks sooo aggressive, yet the back defuser is plane & boring AF. Unlike the one you get on the back of the 5.0 mustangs. Also the 1L3E package is an over priced bullshit package. I mean unless your going to track it? It’s a very uncomfortable ride if it’s a daily. Fact be known the 2SS hangs with the ZL1 on turns & curves, it’s not until the straight away that you see the difference in power. How fast is fast enough for you? SS is @ times under 4 second 0-60 car. ZL1 is 3.5 & it’s supercharged. Again if your not going to the track. The 1SS & 2SS 10-Speed auto w/the 1LE package. Is actually the better set up, because an auto will always beat a manual stock for stock hands down. 🥂👍🏽👍🏽
I agree, if I could do it all over again I would just get a 2SS Camaro or if I wanted something to drag race I would get the 1LT.

*I NEED OPINIONS* I just purchased a 2017 2ss 50th anniversary edition (w/ mag ride and 10k miles) just because I loved the special edition and I prefer the 2016-2018 front end. But now looking at these prices, I’m not sure if I over payed, I payed 42 and 45 out the door and 47 with a 100k warranty…. I’ve had the car for only a couple weeks and still can “return” it for full cost. Do you think it’s worth it to get the 2021 if the new market is so low compared to the used market? Idk I’m not sure if it’s worth it but I also feel as thought I payed a lot considering the car is older but super low mileage.
P.S. it’s the m6, the a8 is garbage.
I think if you're happy with the car just keep it, but if it were me I would opt for the new car just because I like being the 1st owner.
Did you overpay compared to a few years ago? Definitely. But that’s the ballpark they are priced at now so you paid the average for the market we are in now. I was in the same boat. I was trying to get a 16-18 used one but found out if you can get a brand new one for MSRP, it’s only about 3k more for a brand new car that is 0 miles and 5 years newer. But good luck getting your order picked up. Placed my order about a month and a half ago and dealership told me if it passes 3 months and order hasn’t been picked up, I’ll be eligible for my deposit refund so I’ll be taking my refund and probably looking for a used one. Good luck.
@@8driann911 I think I got a decent price but I would have been happier if it was less for sure lol I think to order one now you need to first find a dealership that already has allocations for them and place your order with that dealership, it will speed up the process.

Lol I’m trading my 21 STI with 6k miles for a 22 1LE in black. I ordered it in march so I’m supposed to wait 4-6 months.

I would have kept the Golf as my daily and still purchased the Camaro.
In hindsight I wish I would have done just that, I miss that Golf R a lot.
In 2019 I wasn’t able to get my hands on a Golf R in the color I wanted. So, I ended up purchasing a ZL1 1LE in blue and keeping a Honda CRV as my daily. Recently I purchased a Hyundai Elantra N as my daily. Even though the Hyundai is a really good car I still want a Golf R and once again can’t get my hands on one. BTW, I think you would regret your decision to sell the Subaru STI. If it is paid for and not costing you any money, keep it. I think you would be happier with having that also. But if you have to sell it I’ll buy it off of you!

@@DanielRodriguez-pt4ht I love the clutch and shifter on it, it's very engaging and also really smooth and easy to drive, driving my 1LE is a lot easier than driving my STI.

I’m actually thinking about trading in my STI for a 1ss 1LE. Curious what things about the STI that make it worth it to keep around with both cars? If anything besides being more practical
I'm actually in the process of making a whole video about this, but the short answer is that STI is a lot more engaging to drive with a ton more aftermarket support, but if you just want to get something that's fast stock out of the box and you don't plan on modding it or modding it much I highly recommend getting the Camaro SS or the Camaro SS 1LE, for speed the regular Camaro SS will be faster in a straight line than the 1LE.
