    Also, yes, ruined my finances with cars AND motorcycles. Remember YOU DO NOT NEED IT. All of us can drive a used Camry and spend $15k and have a really great car. Going into debt, especially $40k in debt, making $700 payments and barely getting by is not worth it for any vehicle. SAVE YOUR MONEY and don’t go into debt for vehicles. It’s genuinely not worth it. You’ll thank yourself later.

    In my experience, I never speak monthly payments with a dealership and always have financing lined up prior as dealerships can literally fit most people into their ideal monthly payments. Always be prepared to walk away. Hell, plan on walking away as there have been several times the dealership called back hours later. Also, look to see how long that vehicle has been on their lot. 60-90 days and that dealership is looking to sell at auction for what they bought it. End of month and end of year is a great time to shop coupled with that 60-90 time on lot.

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Yup all very true. These cars sat on the lot about a week and we're gone. That's why it took me a year to find one in red. I walked away from one and I should have got it haha. Now your lucky if you find a 1le in a dealership at all.

    Great video man! Nice to know that interest in the 1LE is still alive even though GM does such a piss poor job of marketing these awesome machines. I negotiated my 2018 1SS 1LE down from $46000 sticker to $39900 before TTL up here in the SF Bay Area. Out the door, it was just under $45000. I paid $5000 down and financed the rest at 3.x% APR for 72 months. My payment is $613 per month and insurance is ~$500 for 6 months.
    About the tires, believe it or not, at almost 23k miles, the car is still on the factory REAR Goodyear SC3s. The fronts had to be changed at 20k miles because a poor alignment ate up the inside shoulder in a few months. They were looking fine until I decided the car should have a track alignment. Learned the hard way not to believe everything I read on Camaro6. Ridiculous Bay Area traffic congestion is the secret behind the longevity of my tires. If I could drive the way you do everyday, I'd be on my 4th set!

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Bro I think had I searched harder I could have got a better deal. I was able to get 2019s at 40 but the 20s were 43 hard for that time. How the heck your insurance so low lol ya traffic would help these tires 🤣 I'll probably swap to PS4s for the next set. Love your car bro it looks so good. Appreciate you stopping by 🤜🤛👍💪

      @@Hot-1LE thanks man! I originally came to your channel because I'm partial to the color myself. I think ZL1 style rocker panels and a wicker bill spoiler would make it perfect.
      If you read the deals out of state folks over on Camaro6 got, we paid California prices. Dealers here are high. Literally.
      If I had to replace all four tires, I would've probably gone for the PS4S too. About 40% more expensive but way better tread wear and wet weather performance. I hear they aren't a great track tire but I don't see myself hustling the car around the track like Ayrton Senna anyway.
      My insurance is probably low because we have a multi car discount and I'm old AF 🤣

    My Camaro insurance;
    Two years ago I took too tight of a turn on a hard right just after it rained and the sun came out. So even though I wasn’t speeding I still slid and hit the back end of a red 2018 dodge ram truck. Both the truck and my car was totaled. I had a 2002ish Pontiac. I was 20. I was already saving to get a Camaro at the time and had decent savings in general. So I went ahead and got one. To this day I pay 400 a month on Insurance for my 2016 1Lt RS v6 Camaro.. For the few first months it was 450. Before that small wreck, I’ve never gotten any tickets, warnings, violations, anything. I never even went 5 over the speed limit, I rarely would accidentally go over it.
    Can’t wait until I’m 25. I’m getting a black 2016 ss with a black interior/black Leather steering wheel, a 1LE if I can. Savings are not looking good right now though 😂.

December will be a year and I only use Amsoil products in the car. You should try the “severe gear” diff fluid. No way this car should come with 275 rears because you will never get traction if you get on it. My 2022 came with 1,700 miles and I paid 46K. Again this was a non 1LE. A similar equipped 1LE was gonna cost me another $7 to $8K dollars. I could have found a 1LE for that price range but it was gonna be an older car with more miles which I did not want. Good information! I could afford the 1LE and I want one. It’s an incredible performance value and I would do at least 4 track days per year owning one. But as an only car and daily driver the costs can add up, and it’s just not an ideal trim for commuting or road trips. I’m pretty sure I’m going to get a regular SS or maybe even the LT1 and just enjoy the V8 without the luxuries. I’d rather save the $10k. Plus the 10 speed auto is not only faster accelerating, but gets a few mpg better. I love a manual trans but I’m used to auto now, and it’s so much better for SoCal traffic. Plus modern autos are so damn good, especially anything ZF8. Manuals are for second cars or older daily’s. Speaking of, did you get the skip-shift defeat?

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      thanks man! I gotta say the manuals in these cars are setup well for city driving. Long gears means less shifting and high torque means less dealing with on/off clutch in gridlock. I had an auto but they all upshift for economy. That was my biggest fault on an auto so I'll probably drive a manual until my leg falls off or a doctor tells me otherwise hahah 💪💪👍 but yes cost add up. I'll change the tires to PS4 and that really evens it all out over a normal SS

      Typically that's really true. For what rebates were available at the time and I actually knew my real kbb value on my GT. You could say the 2k rebate went to the cars price or the trade in. So can say i got the car for 41 which would have been more accurate.

    • @Hot-1LE
      @Hot-1LE  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @bibrakc sure bro. Camaro chassis is superior all around. Camaro feels buttoned down. Mustang feels like the body is ontop of the suspension. Mustang seats sit higher. The lt1 engine IMO feels more like a v8 than the 5.0. The 5.0 dosnt have the low down torque the pushrod does it needs to be rung out to get peak power. The auto is better tuned in the camaro. The manual in the camaro is a tremec in ford its a my"t-82 and its not a good transmission in shifting or reliability. To get a tremec in a stang you have to get a mach1/dark horse and its the camaros v6 tremec. Lots of little other things. Fords lugnuts are covered in aluminum so they warp and need to be replaced its annoying not a huge deal but theres little things like that. This is long lol. But go drive both IMO and pick the one that speaks to you more even besides all these points. Because thats all that matters. 🙂. I will say the mach1 is a hell of a car but the ss 1le is more planted. I also find the camaro seats much better but thats per person. I hope this helps somewhat bro. Very cool your searching for a v8!!
