    6th generation Camaros are what every enthusiast on the internet wants in a sports car, but often won't put their money where their mouths are and even pick up a used one. You're gonna miss them when they're gone. Glad I got mine

      @@averagebro413 As someone who went from Toyota 86 to a Mustang GT (non pp) I get it. The mustang GT you can’t smoothly carry speed in a corner because of the tremendous weight transfer that goes on in tandem with the soft stock suspension. I driven the 1le and with the push rod being placed so low it doesn’t swing weight much in corners and it allows you to carry momentum corner to corner.

      @@CJ-zz9ts With the current generation of camaros (ie 6th generation camaros that started in 2016), there really are not any long term known issues with them. There was an issue with the 8 speed automatic transmission (that got replaced with a 10 speed automatic transmission in 2019), but I have not heard of any serious issues with the manual transmission versions. I spend a lot of time on the camaro6 forum, and there are some minor issues here and there, but nothing serious.
      I would say the reliability is quite good. But only time will tell after ten years or so.

      I'll tell you that after a while it feels normal, definitely takes longer to get used to than the amount of time you probably had with your rental. Once you're used to it you'll actually start to appreciate it, the low roof line makes the car look much more sporty and the tight interior makes the car feel smaller when you're driving it fast.

    Not sure how these compare against other race-oriented muscle cars because I’ve never driven a GT350(R) or GT500, but they’re really fun to drive on track and allow you to explore performance driving without a lot of changes to the vehicle (brake fluid at first and pads/tyres as you become faster). Off track, they are quite stiff and aren’t as compliant as I’d like for backroads driving but okay if you’re just cruising around.

    • @memememine1
      @memememine1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      As the owner of one the car feels exactly like a momentum car. You floor it continuously beating the piss out of the engine asking for every last horsepower. Brush the brake flick the wheel and the car flies through the corner. The engine is almost underpoweted for the car. In the dry on 4s tires I cant really get wheelspin in a straight line. It's slower than an f80 m3 competetion on the straights but competley wrecks the bmw in the corners. I have footage on my channel.

    • @Maelstrom8
      @Maelstrom8 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@memememine1 I own one as well. Anything that can do 0-60 in 4 seconds isn't a momentum car. The BRZ-FRS cars are momentum cars. They require continuous acceleration to gain speed, maintaining that acceleration thanks to handling. This car, while it carries lots of speed through corners and such doesn't, require prolonged acceleration to get up to speed quickly. 0 - 60 in 4 seconds were super car numbers 10 years ago. Hard to see that qualify as a momentum car. If you can't get up to speed quickly then your tires are likely due for a change. Mine has no issue at all getting very close to the advertised 4 second mark.

    • @memememine1
      @memememine1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Maelstrom8 A momentum car isn't defined by how fast it goes 0-60. A gtlm racer is extremely fast but you still drive it like a momentum car. The ss 1le is a momentum car because it's chassis so easlly handles the power from the engine. To push the chassis to the limit you cannot rely on engine power alone. When you go on track or even in the canyons it feels exactly like a Miata or frs. You floor it constantly from the apex of the last corner deep into the braking zone of the next one, desprate to gain 1 extra mph before braking for less than 2 seconds and flying around the corner catching all the prepped miatas through the corner. For it's horsepower the ss 1le is not good at accelration. My friends c7 z51 manages 5-10 mph more down some straights. And past 80 mph an e92 m3 with dct transmission keep up with the ss 1le. So we have a car that corners and brakes incredibly well, but it's accelration is fairly average. I would definitely consider that a momentum car.

      Most of the states have speed limits but I believe that Montana doesn’t actually have a state speed limit. I would support higher speed limits but agree that we do need some sort of speed limit to curb dangerous driving. Simply put, we can’t have nice things because people cannot control themselves. Where I live, the speed limits on the highway are 50-55 mph and while I am a strong advocate for the highways in my state having 70 mph limits where safe, I wouldn’t support having no speed limits. I would 100% support the US having some sort of Autobahn though, with absolutely no speed limits on it.
