  • Clone 2 has been a complete pain in my neck since I assembled it, and there aren't many original FYSETC parts left. This time the power supply was tripping for what I can only assume is overcurrent.

@@chrisdepalma6844 I agree 93.7%. After running these for a good, long while, I didn't save any money and I spent a lot of time.

How are your prusas holding up?

    • @3DPrintedDebris

I lost an LCD today on #2, and a few mini bed thermistor wires through the week. Other than that, all is well.

I like the originals better... got clones but they are not standarized enough so the tutorials on prusa originals dont apply most of the time due to lack of quality parts. Like the springs... they are not cut and sized the same as the originals, so the extruder tension is hit and miss

    • @3DPrintedDebris

I won't be adding any more clones to my army! So many headaches. Recently, the fact they don't put PEI on the bottom lead to the beds shorting out once the bare metal wore out the PCB trace insulation.

@3DPrintedDebris 😮 thats a part stress I would never saw coming. Thanks for sharing... I just bought another mini (original this time) to up my production, since my farm is just picking up pace! I will be revisiting your videos for mainteinance and upgrades tips. I amd very interested on the rev 6 of the extruder for the mini... is it very different from the one you posted on prusaprinters? Thank you!

I personally think that if you buy anything, you need some luck for it to work perfectly. No matter what brand it is. With some brands, you just rely on more luck then with others.

I think you really need a nice oscilloscope for your shop. But you are trying to actually make a profit, rather than having a cool hobby, so the accounting and budgeting department will probably ban this idea.

I dunno.... $500 for a digital phosphor 4-channel tektronics is pretty tempting.
