I watched this just for kicks (not pregnant) because I love your LFSC program so much and was genuinely curious to hear more from you on nutrition. Although the video was obviously pregnancy focused, this gave me a lot of insight into your LFSC meal plan. I'm learning so much from your program- I would love to hear whatever other morsels of advice you have on nutrition!

I have smoothies almost every day, BUT they're ones that make my midwife happy lol here's the recipe for 1:
    1 cup almond milk
    2/3 cup unsweetened greek yogurt
    1 scoop collagen
    1-2 spoonfuls peanut butter
    1 spoonful sunflower lecithin (choline!)
    cocoa powder to taste
about 1/2 cup berries (raspberries have my heart, but strawberries cost less 😅)
If I'm on my game, I'd throw in a handful of frozen spinach
It's between 20-30 grams of protein! If you can adjust your tastebuds to something less sweet, I've been really enjoying it. Hoping to make them in batches for postpartum! God bless :)

I’m really happy that I already eat most of what you suggested. I want to share my favorite breakfast with you that I ate almost every day in my first trimester
    Parfait
    Non fat plain Greek yogurt
    Goji berries
    Chia seeds
    Nutmeg
    Banana
    Black, ras, blue and strawberry
Blended frozen cherries with a little unsweetened almond milk
    Crushed pecans or pistachios
    Flaxmeal porridge
    3 Tbsp ground flaxseed
    Warm coconut milk
    Chia seeds
Top with berries and 1 tablespoon coconut oil and cinnamon
I would love to hear how you liked these!

I put on 80 with my first, 50+ with my second and 40 with my last one and you’d think by now it would be obvious to avoid junk food but it’s harder now for some reason lol. So with my first child I ate really unhealthy foods and I sat on my butt for about 90% of the day. But I gained a normal amount of body weight with my first child. My second pregnancy I’ve been eating healthy, cooking at home, and eating small portions. I’m also extremely active with this pregnancy, I go for a hour walk a day with my dogs and son and also exercise. I’m also 80% of the day on my feet. However I’m gaining a lot of weight, idk where this weight is going because my butt, thighs, arms, and boobs really haven’t gotten much larger. My stomach is pretty big but not anything extreme. Idk what to do at this point because no matter how healthy and active I am the weight keeps on coming. The baby is at a normal weight as well 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ Idk what to do because every time I tell people this nobody can relate or give some advice. The doctors assume I’m just eating sugar but I really don’t the majority of my meals are salads with chicken and yogurt for dessert. The snacks I eat are raisins, fruit, or nuts

Thanks for the tips! I'm 18 weeks now and trying to be healthy! Normally I love fish and eggs, but unfortunately they're aversions now so that sucks. But I've been eating lots of veggies, fruit, and lean meat. My first trimester I could barely eat anything and fruit made me throw up. But I could handle smoothies and veggies, so I ate as much of those as I could. Lost about 4 pounds, but am right on track now.

Congratulations and way to go already eating 90% of what I mentioned here- that is FANTASTIC and well above average. I'm so encouraged to hear you're doing the Free Prenatal Program workouts for yourself right now -- this will help accelerate your postpartum recovery even more when you pair it with the 12 Week Post Pregnancy Plan like you're already planning to do. Swap in another probiotic option you prefer - such as kombucha. I brew mine at home and my favorite flavor is strawberry. When you do it at home you can do a quick 10 day brew so it's not alcoholic (negligable) and you are 100% sure it's not getting contaminted.

It's like I'm hungry all of the time and I'm always craving something. At first it started with just craving fruits and carbs and now it's craving everything bad for me and I've tried meal prepping and snacking between meals on healthy stuff but then the cravings for sweets and salty food kicks in and I feel ravenous. It's really making me so sad and anxious dealing with this. I have to talk to my doctor but I'm still shy of 4 weeks until I can see him again and I'm just trying to find options and info to help me manage it until then. I'm so sad that I've gained almost 40lbs already and I'm only 24 weeks pregnant. :'( everything else has been nice but this food addiction is messing me up badly.

Great video, very informative! The only part I disagree with are the yogurt brand choices. Personally, I don't trust dairy products that aren't grass fed and or organic. I avoid brands like Dannon, Activia and Chobani. Even if they have live cultures, I consider the conditions the cows are raised and what they are fed as it effects the milk in the final product. I don't see photos or videos of their farms on their web pages. The labels don't say "Non-GMO". grass fed or "pasture-raised". I look out for brands that are transparent about their farming practices and avoid feeding cows GMO crops. It's been awhile since I've bought dairy yogurt, but off the top of my head brands like Siggi's and Stonyfield are somewhat cleaner and more ethical. Just sharing this because I really wish I knew about the dairy industry years ago! Really I'd like to find a local farmer since it's hard to know what goes on with major dairy brands in general, even the organic ones

I am tempted to try the crunchy peanut butter on my eggs but also horrified at the idea lol. Does the peanut butter flavor take over the taste of the eggs, or does the peanut butter kind of morph into a more savory flavor when combined with the egg?
Also.. I am currently 35 weeks and have been VERY much considering getting your 12-Week Postpartum Plan, but it's been very very difficult for me to justify the $130 with the low income that my husband is currently making as an apprentice in his job. I saw on your website that you offer three sales a year on your program, but I wasn't sure if any of those sales would be coming up within the next few months! I have seen some free postpartum workout plans (NourishMoveLove and PregnancyandPostpartumTV on TH-cam for example) but I just don't have the same level of trust in others as I do in you! I feel so confident that you won't incorporate any moves that could be harmful to my recovery, and I love the level of challenge you provide in your workouts as well as the explanations you give to help with proper form and motivation.

Hi! My sister in law is a carnivore and she loves it and says it helps alot. What do you think about the carnivore diet?

    • @glowbodypt
      @glowbodypt  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

The carnivore diet is a last case scenario -- as in trying to survive. Women on a carnivore diet are almost completely deprived of fiber. Fiber is what cleans your insides out, like floss and a tooth brush. When you only consume animal protein you are missing out on loads of antioxidants, bio-available vitamins and naturally occuring minerals that are found in vegetables, fruit, nuts, seeds, whole grains and dairy. I would never recommend the carnivore diet to anyone, especially not a pregnant or nursing mother or a woman who wants a stellar metabolism, strong hair, dewy skin and longevity as far as decreasing chances of diseases.

What would you recommend for someone who is having constant nausea a food aversions? I have a difficult time keeping food down. Especially Chicken, meat, and greens. I want to eat healthy but it's been difficult.

Thank you so much for your response! Yes I will try that and I would love to join your training program! You are an inspiration! On days I can I'm following your workouts now during the pregnancy and although they kick my butt I thoroughly enjoy them! Thanks for everything you do!

Eating fruit makes me super hungry. After about an hour I am ravenous.

Be sure you are pairing fruit with a healthy fat source. I'm talking peanutbutter, any variety of nuts, or seeds. This will increase absorption of fat soluble vitamins and keep you fuller longer!

As I watch this, I'm contemplating eating the leftover pizza in the fridge
Edit: okay, so I had a slice of bread with an egg and baked beans instead. Could be healthier but I'm just so hungry after the gym and this was the quickest way

Wow she’s really disordered I really pray no woman on here but this. Eat your white carbs enjoy your corn chips and salsa. Too many veggies that you don’t actually crave are not meant to be eaten in that specific pregnancy. For example I thoroughly dislike sweet potato but I love coriander and cucumbers because that’s what baby wants.
Also she’s seriously underrating. Never take advise from someone who you wouldn’t want your daughters or sons taking advice from..

Former Army Engineer Officer (when this was filmed), deployed to Afghanistan 9 months, prenatal and postnatal exercise specialist and mother of 4. Thanks for your concern, Nick.

Even without any of those amazing achievements, being a stay at home mom is nothing for anyone to be ashamed of, in fact it is a selfless and honorable act to spend your time caring for others. Maybe you should try being a little more caring yourself? It actually feels good to be a nice person.
