Holy ghost this took FOREVER.
Amber's backstory is one of the most asked things i'm told to show, so I really hope you guys enjoy this - I put so much effort into it ;A;
But I've finally made my own original meme!
Feel free to simplify this if you ever want to make it, I went really heavy on the backstory v w v
I'm sorry I would usually write a better description but I am exhausted, feel free to ask questions! I'll probably end up making a pinned comment with FAQ's haha.
TL;DR
This is kinda a run down of Amber's backstory
The first scene is of her surrounded by her dad (large red boi) and other Bondemi, as you can see she's rather small. Amber is a mutant and therefore is physically different to a usual Bondemi.
The dude shown in a few of the scenes is Ambers ex, Peter. He was super abusive to her (clearly heh) and is the reason why she's a selective mute.

The anatomy of this character is driving me crazy.
She's got digitigrade legs which are more common in quadrupeds but that's also a pretty common fantasy race thing. But then her hips are also shaped so she can run on all fours easily. Her arms and legs are wildly disproportionate when she's on all fours which is more of a biped thing. Also her shoulders are broad don't seem adapted to run on all fours like her hips. Her neck appears to crane at an uncomfortable angle when she's running which, again, would indicate she's primarily bipedal. However, her spine and ribs seem to be shaped to accommodate being able to run on all fours. She's only ever seen running on all fours which might indicate she can stand on two legs but can't walk but animals like that are still mostly built like quadrupeds with slightly different hips. What is she???
Is this all due to the mutations mentioned in the description? The other lads shown seem to be slightly more built for quadrupedal movement.
i mean this is an original species by the f0x, and she’s a runt from what i can remember. maybe some physical trauma that causes certain issues? this character is a fictional species so there’s really no “correct” way to draw her, regardless of the standards for bipedal characters so :/
Her species doesn't seem build to be sprinting long distances, like most prey animals are, so it's likely they can only sprint for a short time. This can justify the uncomfortable angle for the head. If they have to run for longer distances it probably wouldn't be that fast. My guess is they are probably predators who rely on stealth and then a short distance chase to catch their prey.
Is her hair naturally short and the shadowy long hair is a way of her to disguise herself or her trying to start a new? :0 sorry if this makes no sense

Yes hehe The running joke is that she has moth boyfriends, I've drawn her surrounded by moths a bunch of times and they kinda symbolize freedom and light happiness I suppose.
