I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to have a character with reason and legitimacy for their god-like powers. I love this.
And I just love how there's no unexplained edgyness. There's actually a story and the characters have reasons behind their actions. And the storytelling here is _perfect_ . It doesn't tell the whole story, but gives enough hints for the viewer to understand what's going on.
Me too!
Excuse me sir.. have you heard of a guy named Saitma?
cries in my storylines
The animation style suits the story and does the edgy God powers justice
Tipu looks like the god of madness.
The drink in his hand when he toasted was probably insanity distilled, which is actually quite appealing.
The followers who slaughtered him didn't know what they did, and worshipped him in the form of a child wearing tigerskin.
When the child made a toast, the followers caught sight of the insanity and desired it more than anything else.
This was Tipu's trick all along.
He crushed the wine glass and the followers went mad for the drink.
There were flowers blooming out of the drink, other godly statues, and out of the followers, showing Tipu's power over them.
The followers turned into flowers themselves when they touched the insanity.
The incense stick is used for ceremonial reasons, and Tipu is constantly seen with one, representing his divinity.
In the last scene, he is shown lounging on flowers.
This is his revenge against the followers.
Dead, but not quite dead enough to not feel pain.

Flink Plamingo well- I’d say that a large percentage of your speculation is correct though it’s not ‘insanity’ that Tipu used against his worshippers but rather their ‘greed’ ;)

Ooooh, I see.
It was their own cravings for power?
Cool.
I love how you can see the surprise on Tipu's face when he raised the glass to his followers about a minute or so in as they rushed towards him to get it, followed by slow recognition that these are the people who had murdered him, before the quick switch to rage before breaking the glass for them to indulge in their own greed. Going on taking a seat watching as it overcomes them not with joy but a neutral expression while clearly angry with them for what they did.
It’s kinda like he.’a processing that these people belong to him now

Tipu used to be a tiger that was a forest spirit. Then hunters killed him and he was reincarnated as a god. The followers offered him the skin of the tiger that guarded the forest. He was that tiger

BOTH
꧁Moss꧂ BUT I ONLY HAVE ONE SOUL :’((((
@@ooohoohooimsosillay1919 SPLIT IT IN HALF
UwU DahWholesome TAKE ME WITH YOU

Here’s my understanding :
Tipu was originally a tiger spirit protecting his land, and human hunters killed him, however they only killed his tiger form and actually just “freed” him in a way so he could achieve his true strength as a god. I believe the skinned tiger we see is tipu’s past body.
Now, as a “human” he is worshipped due to his ability to create flowers that can turn into gold/money. This is why his followers crave the drink (tipu’s blood), because it can bloom said flowers that will bring them wealth.
Bro that's awesome
wow-
Oh, that kinda explains the drink turning from black to gold
MK YEAH THAT MAKES SENSE TY
now it makes more sense to me,!
i think the hunters worshiped tipu as some sort of god of the hunt or the land, the tiger (his old form) hung up in the temple as some sort of unintentionally ironic offer.
the reaction to the incense? stick at 0:40 feels like it represents tipu surprised at his new status as a god, but not upset
flowers represent nature, and how it grows ever everything is like nature reclaiming abandoned places
the scene at 1:00 ( i love that part btw) shows how man takes nature and exploits it for money, the stamp on the pile of coins sending a message of "mine"
the black drink could be oil, the flashing of yellow simply a way to convey power and riches. the people go mad- it's so valuable!
at this moment, their masks come off, their true selves revealed.
they worship tipu hoping he will grant them power and wealth, despite the fact they killed him. they will "worship" the ground too by tearing it apart in search of more oil.
tipu, enraged shatters the glass and the people rush towards the spill. but tipu doesn't have to bring out claws or teeth to exact vengeance. the flowers come out, taking over as the people are torn apart from their own obsessions.
then it snaps back to a bored looking god with his incense. was the prior event just a daydream, or the future?
i really love this animation, the unique color palettes, designs, and everything were so perfect!!! the simplicity of some stuff yet intricacy took my breath away

I JUST REALIZED
the flowers that the members of the religion who worshipped Tipu coughed up might be a reference to a myth called Hanahaki disease, where someone coughs up flowers when romantic love is not returned from someone they love. Tipu didnt love them back...
Omg this explains so much-
Omg, thank you for bringing this up bc I had no clue why there was so much art with people coughing up flowers. I see it everywhere, but now I get it.
I was like:

I think the followers of Tipu died because when Tipu had that black liquid they thought it was Tipu giving theme a offering of gratitude for all they gave him but when he broke it that’s when he basically told them that he never loved them back.

this is such a great animation, the amount of effort put into it is just.. *chefs kiss*
it really portrays the whole "what goes around comes back around to you" and "nature gets revenge" themes really well + the art is just fantastic
To me the whole scene represents people's greed over turning nature into profit. They do see nature as beautiful and therefore worship it but what they find beautiful about it is how they can exploit it. The spirit is just the manifestation of a living spritual being who still counts as part of nature and is connected to it and all its goods. And the humans just chose to worship him, giving him things and building him an altar or temple. In which they ironically gave him his own real skin and have it hanging up. Or maybe they just killed it and kept it in that place so that's why he has to stay there. The thing while the humans may do as if they were worshipping him when it came down to it they were stripping him of his freedom and rights and life. That's also why he looks at them in such a defying but tired and knowing way at some point. It's not like he has the power to do anything about it or will, cause nature just lives and let's live. At some point he turns a flower into money and then walks on it, and we can see just how much money there is there, for each coin one flower that has vanished. And he knows about their greedy insatiable nature. But what is there he can do about it? The moment he shows the glass with the black substance (which for me could represent petroleum which is such a sought-after resource people search every bit of land for and exploit to the absolute maximum I can't even tell you how much of it we use daily cause it's just scary) all of their masks fall while they try to reach for it, absolutely mad with greed. To me all the flower tears that come out of them represent all the fallen parts in nature they consumed, like I dunno the ghost of them or their corpes. They leave a trail of death I guess. This could be interpreted in another way but that's just how I see it. And when the nature spirit throws down the cup they scramble to the ground in greed, just to get every last bit of it left. I don't exactly know what the end where he is in a white place surrounded by nature if I remember well means. I just know that it was probably a resolution to all of this. Either when everyone dies or something like that or when other humans stop it. Maybe it's just a tiny safe haven untouched by humans which it returns to, to feel safe for at least a moment. To me it feels like the spirit would be omnipresent since it represents nature and therefore exists where nature does, it was simply mostly trapped by humans. And therefore couldn't really excape the temple or them. Or maybe now that I think about it the white place could be where he cries for his fallen comrades death in silence. That's all just my interpretation, some I'm pretty sure about other things I ain't. I admit some things I saw because of other comments but others just came to my mind. Also I adore your work girl. It's such a stunning animation with such a incredible plot that actually matters and reflects our real world, but which perfectly could stand as it's own too thank you for this 2:07 Seconds of absolute beautiful art.

All right, I know the storyline has already been explained, but here are my two cents on the lore and its deeper connotations:
As someone already explained below, Tipu is Malay for "lie" (rough translation). That combined with the tiger got me thinking and I remembered the concept of amok. Obviously, running amok means going wild and being out of control, especially violently. In Malaysian culture people used to believe that this state of "amok" was caused by an evil tiger spirit possessing them, making them fly into a frenzy and attack everything and everyone as well as themselves.
I'm not trying to say this story means something that wasn't already explained, but I do find it interesting... As we see through flashbacks, Tipu was brutally killed by the hunters. They ran amok in their desire to end his life as shown by all the blood and gore. When Tipu gets his revenge, he makes them run amok again - amongst themselves, destroying each other in their frenzy for the drink they so desired.
What does this all mean in the bigger picture? I don't know. It's four in the morning. But I hope you find my rambling informational and that you have a good day :)
edit: when I'm not too lazy I'll add on some more stuff for you guys ily

Just because it's not looping or only a few seconds doesn't mean it's not a meme. I respect this as a meme, because it's seriously the best kind of meme. Call it an AMV if you want but they didn't even finish the song.
Moon Lana their saying its really good
@@snailsand I agree with them, just pointing out if someone saw it in a different light. Apologies if my response was aggressive.
@@moonlana3654 Actually its technically not even a meme because the artist isnt copying what someone else did, I would classify this as an short amv or movie. Just because they didnt do the whole song doesnt mean to classify it as an "animation meme" this is an actual 100% original idea and animation.
I dont know why the artist called this a meme but its not (maybe to get more views), I respect your opinion but it has some flaws
@@Lovely-oo6en I personally think it's a meme. If memes weren't allowed to be original then I don't see the point- especially in the cases of if there was no original memes they'd be boring- and probably wouldn't exist. AMV's are Animated Music Videos so I think that it'd need to be the full song, though I guess you don't need to complete it. The word meme just seems like a better fit because a "short music video" isn't a pleasing title. I'm really happy I found this tbh and I never would've if meme wasn't in the title. So- I applaud it anyways.
The flowers they are fighting for are opium poppies. You see several references to opium related things such as the MC smoking opium through an opium pipe, the people worshipping the tiger because he had the opium, and everyone fighting to make money off and to consume the opium. So my theory is that the MC was a tiger slaughtered by opium dealers bc the MC lived in the area where the flowers grew. The MC then came back as a forest spirit, and went to get revenge against the opium dealers and addict who killed them by getting control of the opium and destroying it.
Flowers equal money. They are worshipping the tiger for the blood which is the black liquid that turns into the flowers. Beautiful imagery great message about humans greed and them literally choking on it.
6 months late, but there’s a little frame too where the flower turns into a coin
In Thai, there are tradition related to temples where we wrap a coin with ribbon and make it into a flower shape. I guess that's where the 'flower turned into coin' come from.

The worshipper crying a flower tear was SO visually striking, LOVE IT
this is so minimalistic yet so detailed, i dont know wether to praise the aesthetic or the animation itself, so i'm going to do both
obviously tipu is a divine figure for the worshippers, but the pale and harsh warm colour palette really brought it all together. the song's video itself emphasized red and warmer colours as more expressive and dream-like, and tipu's presence practically melting these colours together gave off a strong sense of want and need from the worshippers.

ПРОСТО ВСЁ
Cool little detail, is that for almost the entire song Tipu’s blood is black, and when everyone is rushing towards it it flashes gold and black. showing contrast between Tipu just seeing it as blood and the followers seeing it as the monetary value. This is practically confirmed just before the flashing by the blood being reflected as pure gold in the eyes of the follower. Amazing attention to detail!
1:14 is the exact moment this reflection occurs at. It also happens at 1:23
This is a wonderfully crafted original AMV, not an animation meme.
Wtf like your so good at animating. Like these transitions are amazing and the characters and the visuals.. all a 10/10
He really did say “rawr xd”
Hahahahah
when-
GOD BTW YOUR COMMENT IS THE SECOND EVER POSTED ON THIS VID ( i scrolled a hour )
Hard to be emotionless when you have someone you care deeply about.
SO COOL !!
Song: Just imagine a trip to a wonderful land
Animal crossing: *exists*
You know what this just reminded me of? In Greek mythology, one of Dionysus' myths tells of him rendering a group of sailors mad after they captured him. He turned into a lion, turned the masts into snakes, covered the hull with vines and the sound of flutes could be heard. They all ended up turning into dolphins and fell into the sea. This feels vaguely similar. And I love it.
After looping this video a bajillion times because of how good it is, I noticed that the whole animatic consists more of little short animations + super cool super awesome drawings for the filler
The whole thing is so well done that it took me awhile to realize that Zem relied more on the art rather than a full-on animated anime storytelling-like animation 😭

Jesus cloviloop, you’ve absolutely outdone yourself! Everything about this is just amazing, like-
The video has this sort disturbingly whimsical feeling to me, and a sense of power and a madness that frankly impressed me. The little details in everything, and the changing color palettes surely help with this two. The background is first a soft shade yet when everything goes wrong the color becomes more,, intense, giving that sort of energy. I absolutely loved the character designs, and the use of the tiger and the tail was just wonderfully done! The scenes are so unique and tell a story in a way I’ve seen no other, and the movements are incredible. For some reason I was especially fond of the tail in a square shape moving around an eye, it’s oddness appealing to me. The story told here makes me itch to know if there’s anything more because it’s so astonishing and just-
I could probably keep rambling about this for awhile, but I’m going to stop.
You’ve done an extraordinary job with this one. Keep up the good work 👍
CAN WE TALK ABOUT HOW THEY KEPT THE SAME COLORS AS THE ORIGINAL VIDEO AND I LOVE THEM FOR THAT
idk how to word this properly but this animation seems like it was actually based off the story of a mythical god, like; the flowers(something that symbolises the god), the tails(a powerful element of the god), the appearance, the tiger, everything is just. yes. this feels like smth i'd come across while reading greek mythology/pos
i cant name how many times ive replayed this. i love the colors and the story in this meme its just so delicious
i love how simple the main art is, but if you take a closer look, there's a lot of small details that make it look awesome.
I really like how you drew their eyes it's original and unique you don't see those types of eyes everyday and that's what i like about them
I don't usually comment on videos, but htis animation was exeptionally remarable. The character designs, moothness, color palette, and storyline were so FREAKING COOL!!!! I'm a first time viewer and I'm blown away. Saved, liked, and subscribed dude!
