It’s most likely because he looks way too young. The face also feels flat a lot of the time and he has a tiny face compared to his neck and body. Personally me and a lot of other people don’t like it. Just as well as you and a lot of people do like it. That’s called a opinion. And the best way to make everyone happy here is say is to just implement a face swap option or something idk. Something in the settings to switch your Spider-Man’s face from OG to new. But either way doesn’t matter cuz it’s very doubtful that would ever happen. Honestly they should just make the face a little older and it should be fine. He is way too baby face
@@huskytzu7709 Because Peter Parker is the main character of the game and seeing only HIS face is different compared to literally everyone else makes it stick out like a sore thumb.
It was also due to Yuri’s bone structure in his face that made it difficult to work with John Bubniak’s face so when they got on Ben Jordan, they found out his face structure was identical to Yuri’s face.
Why didn’t they just use yuris face?

The reason why i loved the first face was because it showed a peter parker who was more tired and worn out of his duties as both a superhero and a student, trying to balance that shit out while still being energetic enough to knock out the sinister 6.

So before I get Spider-Man two, I was planning on re-playing the original two games. I just finished replaying the Spider-Man 1 story and I gotta say, it was really cool to see John’s face again. Plus I found so many little details that I previously didn’t see in my original playthroughs. I do miss John’s face scan but if it was extremely difficult for the staff to animate, then I understand why they changed him. Plus Ben’s face scan looks way better than it did in the remaster so it’s definitely grown on me :)

Some people just look younger. Ben Jordan is 29 but his face looks exactly like that.

The cartoons they always drew him with pretty masculine features (aggressive jawline, detailed ass cheekbones) so I'd always assume he was at least mid-20's. That's kinda what I'm used to. That's why I liked the first face model. He looks tired, stressed, worn out and beat down from all the years of being spiderman and struggling with his personal life. It made sense. The new face looks like a 17 year old Hollister model that's had an airbrushing done lol
Also some of the shots his face is hella small compared to his neck. Watched one cutscene and Peter from behind just looked so weird in a t shirt. His neck looks swole with a tiny as hell head
