My honest opinion. With this game, Yuri Lowenthal has cemented himself as one of THE BEST Spider-Man VA to ever impersonate the character. Monumental, really.
Idk why but spider-man being corny is never not funny, he's like leon from re4, he know's how corny the joke is but it still makes him get a chuckle out of it.
I like how during fight with Lizard he went from "Think about your family and fight with it!" to "You are weak, no wonder your family left you". That's Bully Lowenthal for real.
Its like.....the more the fight dragged out, the more used the symbiote's power....the more magnified his darkest impulses and twisted his head round & round

I’ve always felt like Peter getting the black suit was him getting his get back after years of being treated like shit but in this game I legitimately felt bad for the ppl he interacted with lmao
The symbiote is basically like getting heavily drunk, it brings out your inner emotions, and in Peter's case those inner emotions are "T H E S E. F U K I N. H A N D S"

Peter wanted to save ppl so he became way more aggressive and less held back, Harry wanted to fix the world so the symbiote decided it needs to turn everyone into one, MJ wants to be successful but her doubt holds her back so Scream says stuff like "no one ever needs me, they just lie"
I think the coolest part of this whole phase was when Peter attacks Kraven and the Hunters in the end and he automatically goes full rage mode and you can hear the symbiote cry out through your controller. You can feel the uncontrollable rage that Peter feels while wearing the symbiote.
Love the dynamic of Miles watching his mentor lose himself. I think this is the first retelling of the black suit story in which he's present so that's really cool

the "Destroy....us?" was delivered so perfectly, it captures what Tony Todd said of the symbiote in this version, it is a temperamental child. That comes through so well with how...scared and confused that line is.
The part where Peter arrives to seek Miles at Kraven’s base was the best part for me. The absolute savagery in his actions and voice were just out of this world (literally). And the part where he screams like a rabid animal trying to burst out of that cage was beyond epic. Bravo to Yuri and the Insomniac team for blessing us
MAN, Yuri Lowenthal absolutely NAILED Symbiote Spider-Man's performance! The rage, the aggression, the hostility in his voice.. it's all PEAK. One of the best, if not THE best Spider-Man voice actor, NO question!
The subtle body language as he says I’m fresh out of honey is so good. Seems so casual and completely unthreatened. I picture the Bully Maguire hair flip face under that mask when he says it lol
the reason why this makes peter dangerous, is because he's the character who's one of the people whos holden back the most. he holds back even fighting enemies who go way back, controlling his anger, keeping calm, saving even enemies, how angry would that character be who's so kind but let all his feelings out at once

Saving his enemies is frankly why he keeps having these problems and innocent people only stay in danger. Just like Batman saving Joker only means he comes back to keep tormenting Gotham. Just let God do his thing and take them off the earth
I think one of the creepiest moments for me personally sadly wasn't included. When the symbiote is chasing MJ (after 4:25), it screams "MIIINEE!" I feel like that line alone is a good way to show it's not just the symbiote acting out it's own desires with a puppet, it's fully corrupting it's host

I really like the implications of the name Venom, and how it could relate to what the symbiote does to its host in this game. SOME SPOILERS AHEAD To me, it seems like the symbiotes really latch onto all the negative emotions and insecurities one possesses. When Peter wore the suit, he kept emphasizing over and over how it’ll make him a better Spider-man, which could stem from his doubts about his own abilities given he couldn’t save Aunt May. Harry was devastated by the Emily-May Foundation building (which represents his dream) being destroyed, envious of Peter being so adept at using the suit, and felt helpless given he was slowly dying without the suit. The symbiote used that and the desire to “heal the world” to try and take over the world. Even MJ, when she was turned, expressed how much she gives and gives to make her and Peter’s relationship, working for JJJ despite hating him and compromising some of her dreams to support Peter’s dream of being a better Spider-man. It all results in the very toxic or “venomous” behavior they display when they have the suit on Sorry that was a lot lol

The symbiote amplified all of the doubts and insecurities that Pete has at being Spiderman, and now having this strong power, it makes him believe that he can do more good than before, but instead all it did was make him more angry, distant, and hostile to those he wants to protect. Miles even states that if he had the suit, he would probably be acting the exact same way, given that he also has doubts at his abilities of being a good hero. People just need good literary analysis skills, smh lol
It's also super clingy and a part of me believes it only continues to use Harry instead of trying someone like Miles as a vessel is because it knows that Harry is the best shot to hurt Peter. Even in the final Battle Harry and Venom screams "You have to kill us" which feel like the symbiote screwing with Peter telling him if he wants to stop it then he has to kill his best friend with his bare hands.

I think one of the creepiest moments for me personally sadly wasn't included. When the symbiote is chasing MJ (after 4:25), it screams "MIIINEE!" I feel like that line alone is a good way to show it's not just the symbiote acting out it's own desires with a puppet, it's fully corrupting it's host

I really like the implications of the name Venom, and how it could relate to what the symbiote does to its host in this game.
SOME SPOILERS AHEAD
To me, it seems like the symbiotes really latch onto all the negative emotions and insecurities one possesses. When Peter wore the suit, he kept emphasizing over and over how it’ll make him a better Spider-man, which could stem from his doubts about his own abilities given he couldn’t save Aunt May.
Harry was devastated by the Emily-May Foundation building (which represents his dream) being destroyed, envious of Peter being so adept at using the suit, and felt helpless given he was slowly dying without the suit. The symbiote used that and the desire to “heal the world” to try and take over the world.
Even MJ, when she was turned, expressed how much she gives and gives to make her and Peter’s relationship, working for JJJ despite hating him and compromising some of her dreams to support Peter’s dream of being a better Spider-man.
It all results in the very toxic or “venomous” behavior they display when they have the suit on

The symbiote amplified all of the doubts and insecurities that Pete has at being Spiderman, and now having this strong power, it makes him believe that he can do more good than before, but instead all it did was make him more angry, distant, and hostile to those he wants to protect.
Miles even states that if he had the suit, he would probably be acting the exact same way, given that he also has doubts at his abilities of being a good hero.
People just need good literary analysis skills, smh lol

It's also super clingy and a part of me believes it only continues to use Harry instead of trying someone like Miles as a vessel is because it knows that Harry is the best shot to hurt Peter.
Even in the final Battle Harry and Venom screams "You have to kill us" which feel like the symbiote screwing with Peter telling him if he wants to stop it then he has to kill his best friend with his bare hands.
I liked how the voices switched between Peter and the Symbiote. Makes it even creepier, the Symbiote is starting to take control, but not too much.
