I love the TASM 1 suit. For one, I think it fits perfectly with Peter's character arc during the movie. He's vengeful, and doesn’t care to be a hero at all when he first dons the costume. The suit makes him look incredibly intimidating. And with how much he works at night in the movie, I think it makes sense for him to not care about looking like a "friendly neighborhood" spider-man in favor of only finding the man who killed Ben. His suit reflects that nicely. The yellow eyes also fit into this well. Because if you actually change the eyes yourself and see how it looks, it partly loses that intimidating factor that they were going for. I agree that there should've been a belt added though.
Great points! I really do like how the suit reflects the slightly darker tone and mind space of Peter! But in general I prefer the more classic lighter tone, but yeah that suit works really well for what they were going for. Thanks for commenting
The Tasm 2 suit is absolute perfection. Even without the emotive eyes it just looks amazing. The only “problem” I have with it is that the blue could’ve been a bit more vibrant as it looks more like an indigo than blue. Other than that 15/10 amazing
tasm 2 suit is really really good, but the eyes not being expressive like the tom hollands kill it for me. my personal favorite suit is either the black and red suit from ffh, or the blue and red suit seen at the very end of NWH.
I respect your opinion on the Iron Spider. I personally love it but I agree it would be much more iconic if it was only seen in Infinity War and Endgame.
But it wouldn't make much sense story wise for him to ditch his best suit just because there isn't some big threat at that moment, if there was another situation like in infinity war where he needs it fast it would be right there.
I'm convinced the only reason people don't like the Iron Spider is either because it doesn't look like the comics Iron Spider (which I personally hate) or because it's something Tony made. It's one of my favorite Spidey suits of all time, and I'll never see it as anything but.

The raimi symbiote suit makes sense for the menacing eyes. I do agree it needs to look more alien but I think they should of used to original black suit and after time it looks more alien, that would of been a good idea but Sam raimi didn’t know much about venom or the symbiote and wanted nothing to do with them. That was the first ever live action symbiote suit by a person who didn’t want to do it and that’s crazy.
I think the original design looks weak. I don't like it being so solid, or how big the spider is. I prefer the slightly less simple, completely black version, because it looks more serious, and a lot less goofy.
idk why you should really care.... The black suit in the comic is told to be this way... It's NVR shown to actually be that way. For instance, everyone keeps saying the alien suit. As someone who draws and understands 2D art. It means you have to interpret the rest on the way. How is the black suit and symbiote suit different??? They aren't. I have a theory about why Tom’s Peter used black instead of blue in the upgraded suit. I think it’s so he can show the love and affection that he feels for MJ cuz her favourite flower is the BLACK dalia and Peter must’ve remembered that which made him choose to put black instead of blue. Also, fun fact about Andrew Garfield: when andrew had free time between shooting of tasm 2, Andrew would keep the suit on and go around New York in the spidey suit and play basketball ball with kids.
it was revealed that him using black in the suit was him showing he was maturing up and realizing he can make it on his own and be creative without tony stark’s touch in everything he has worn so far.
I’m actually pretty sure the blue on Spider-Man was always meant to be black instead of blue. That was just how they colored black in comics back then.

The red and blue Spider-Man suit wore by Tobey Maguire from the original Spider-Man trilogy will always be my favorite live action Spider-Man suit of all time.
@@cngotham4111 because it has the best colouring for one, the red is the most vibrant and doesnt have that pink tint that tasm2 one does. Second the raised webbing stands out more than any other suit, third the logo is the best size, doesnt cover 3/4 of his chest. Fourth the material is like something you can literally pick up at your local store, tasm2 the materials used for the blue segment are very expensive and thick and rubbery. even more so than the raimi suit.

People loved Tobey's suit because they grew up with it and that was what they thought Spider-Man looked like. I felt that way with Andrew Garfield's two suits and they will always be favorites!

Great ranking! Tobey’s suit may not be the best of all time, but in my opinion is the best nostalgic feeling suit. With Andrew’s having the best look in terms of it looking like a kid actually made it with whatever materials he could find. And Tom’s suit being the best in terms of showing a more emotionally animated side of Spiderman due to the eyes.
I love Tom's Homemade suit. I'd be fine with a movie in it, so the design is nice, but it also shows how smart Peter is without the characters outright telling you he's smart. There were points in the Raimi films and TASM where it didn't feel like he was as smart as he should be with the exception of a few scenes, but Tom's movies sold that idea without really saying it. He has moveable lenses and created web shooters without any of Starks help, it works into the story really well, and we got the McFarlane logo as a bonus.
tbh the Amazing spider man 1, suit is my favorite, unlike a lot of ppl, I love the orange lances that are small and bug like, also it looks great without the belt in my opinion
Crazy that I completely agree with your whole list and the reasonings behind. For me number one could only get better if they made the blue a bit brighter and if the added eye control like toms then the suit would be easily the most perfect suit ever.

Honestly, i pretty much agree with you on all stops. I think if they tone down the gloss of the Final Swing suit, it'll be literally perfect. I think that the AS2 suit is defintiely one of the best, but i also dislike the shiny nature of it, and would personally put homecoming and final swing ahead of it, but that's more a personal take. great video ! and you also gave good reasonings for all your spots and examples of what you liked and disliked, even on the lowest rated of suits.

I fully agree with those top 2. They truly are the most iconic and almost perfectly recreate the classic suit to the big screen. They really REALLY pop!
@@CINEMAZE I always felt like the Amazing Spider-man 2 Andrew Garfield suit was the closest thing to the classic comic book we ever got. And then again with the final shots of the Tom Holland donning that new suit in No Way Home it felt like he was returning to form with that suit attempt again to be like the original. I'd even go so far as to say the final Tom Holland's suit is even brighter and has more vivid saturated colors like in the comics too.
The biggest thing i love about the ffh upgraded suit is the massive white spider on the back. Having the simple colors and contrast makes it one of my favorites. top 3 is 1.advanced suit (insomniac) 2.nwh final swing suit 3.ffh upgraded suit.
The black and gold suit is explained to be inside out but it looks more like it’s the tech layer beneath it. Making the fabric we see over it as a removable (washable) layer. Makes you wonder if there’s ANOTHER layer beneath it to keep his sweat away from the wires and other components.
Great video, I'd love to see an updated ranking that includes Nicholas Hammond and Shinji Tōdōs suits in here as well I really love the Nicholas Hammond suit personally, if you look at the NWH concept art you can see designs for the final swing suit which take heavy inspiration from the Hammond suit There's also a lot of pretty famous spiderman fan films on youtube like "peter's web" and "goblins last stand" which have more live action suits of varying quality levels

I tried to make a thumbnail which showed all 3 spideys with suits in the rough positions I ranked them without ruining the video completely. I wasn't in LOVE with the raime suits, but the spiderman 3 suit touches me in weird places. I grew up with Garfield but whenever i see the non-symbiote Spiderman 3 suit it makes me wanna rewatch the entite trilogy. But i do agree with your #1 1000%

A lot of people have been saying this! It was super close for me, the main thing is that we don’t get a proper look at the suit in NWH it’s moving and we have only seen the design property in concept art. If we ever see a real physical suit in later films it could improve
@CINEMAZE that is very fair. The physical suits always look the best, so it makes sense to choose a physical suit over one that doesn't exist yet. Hopefully, they don't cover the suit in cgi or change it for Spider-Man 4.
My top 3 is 3) NWH Final Swing suit, 2) TASM2 suit, 1)TASM1 suit. Andrew’s second suit is basically perfection but I’ve always been a sucker for his first one. I’ve loved it ever since I first saw it on screen, and idc what anyone says the yellow eyes are sick imo. His second suit is a very close second and the Raimi suit and Far from home suits are my runner ups being very close. All these 5 suits are very close to each other since they all look Fantastic.

Homecoming suit is my alllll time favorite!!! The straps, the color, checkers on the blue, the detail on the lens, and simplicity of the webs! AMAZING❤️
Actually I think that the Black and Red upgraded suit is the best. It evokes the OG color palette from the comics which I always preferred over the bright blue and red.
Brilliant question, that suit looks awesome very classic comic mixed with some MCU and previous Spidey suits. I get why they changed it because they wanted their suit to look more unique, but that prototype suit does look awesome so it would rank very high up my list I think. I also love the stark suit they replaced it with but it’s a shame it’s so CGI especially in civil war
I still think Tobeys is the best suit. Its just too damn perfect in terms of blending it with the original comics, but giving a modern more realistic look. The raised webbing was a fantastic choice and honestly all the suits should do it. He has the best spider symbol also. But ASM2 suit is a close second for me. You can even tell it was inspired by Raimis with the raised webbing and dark blues and reds. I think Toms newest suit is definitely his best. I never liked any of the Stark suits cause he relies on them wayyy too much. But I think its almost too close to the comics, where it looks a bit cartoony. Which is why I believe Raimis to be #1. Because its close enough to the comics, but not too much to look like a Halloween costume.
I'm so glad you mentioned the original comic design for the iron spider suit. Like, I respect the MCU design for the iron spider, but that classic design will always be Superior to me. Crazy how divisive that suit can make the fandom.
mostly agree with these!! the eyes are a huge factor, but mostly i care about the pattern and color shades, which is why the no way home final suit isn't my fav, the shiny blue reminds me of a halloween costume. i'd probably also rank tasm2 at the top :) also i'm surprised that your channel hasn't taken off, wish you the best of success with it.

My only nit pick with the No Way Home suit is the back logo (12:58) it looks the same as the one on the front which I don't like, I think it should have a thicker body like the comic version.

Its great for the time and doesn't ruin the films, but it does feel a bit rubbery and bendy at times. Like you say it looks fine, and looks better than some CGI in recent MCU stuff, but it doesn't look great compared with Amazing Spider-Man CGI which I think is fantastic. @ottooctavius9552 but that doesn't change that the cgi in those movies look like ps2 graphics. The point is it's not a new criticism of the movies. Like spiderman 2 does the best job of hiding the effects but it is extremely obviously when there's cgi. Amazing spiderman did a way better job with cgi.
I think Andrew Garfield's first suit is the best LOOKING. I also think it's cool that he used sunglasses as the eyes so the sun won't be in his face. I'm not hating on your opinion. I just wanted to share mine.
2:06 finally someone mentions this! He shouldn’t have wires on it it should be inside the thin spandex. Saw this on a post: Actually we have seen the insides of the Stark suit in Homecoming and it looked pretty close to this, except it had one extra layer of clothing to conceal of the wire/tech stuff. Considering this is a suit Peter made in FFH in an airplane using a machine with no time to learn how to use, it's pretty understandable that he would make such a simple mistake and forget the inside layer. Then he had no time to even fix it, if it bothered him so much cause NWH happens right after FFH. An easier explanation would be "looks cool" and "more toys" Also 7:49 is this edited or can you make out that he is wearing a glove on his right hand?

I've always really liked Andrew's body. Just like you said in the video the way he's tall and a bit slender but slightly lean with the large head from the face shell, he just looks so much like Spider-Man in the TASM 2 suit
Holy hell, I've always liked TASM1 suit, even though it lacked something in my opinion, but to me TASM2 suit always felt like a betrayal of the original concept. It was good, but I had this feeling of "they should've iterate on the previous design, not just ditch it in favor of a completely different one" and that version in the end of number 6... It's perfect, the best Spider-Man suit hands down, it's a shame it doesn't really exist.

honestly I prefer the TASM1 suit over the TASM2 suit, it just has a unique look to it, and the TASM2 suit is like they backpedalled on the TASM1 suit and decided to go back, and the giant eye lenses look goofy and way less serious than any other suit. it's a decent suit but everytime I look at it, I think this is a suit I could imagine Tobey Maguire in more than Andrew Garfield.
I think the less serious look of the suit was to reflect the less serious tone of TASM2 over TASM1 and Spidey is generally a light hearted character so I prefer the lighter look. Thanks for watching and commenting

I feel like the Iron Spider suit being used so often is to show that Peter wants to be like his idol, the one who gave him that suit in the first place. Even after being told that he'd never be iron man, he still wants to honor tony's legacy as that suit is one of the only things Tony left behind for him aside from the EDITH glasses
I agree your opinions on Raimi suits, they felt a bit buffed and goofy. But, I think STARK suit is the best as Tony Stark himself built it. It has the iconic looks and also the tech. If u compare it with the far from home suit it is still much better technologically and looks wise both

For instance, everyone keeps saying the alien suit. As someone who draws and understands 2D art. It means you have to interpret the rest on the way. How is the black suit and symbiote suit different??? They aren't. They are interpreted to be different.
That being said, Black suit in Sam Raimi is amazing. If you are asking for more goo... Ask the comic book creators to make it more gooey first. Sam riami was going to make the suit completely black and thought... UK what it looks like shit in rl.
I have a theory about why Tom’s Peter used black instead of blue in the upgraded suit. I think it’s so he can show the love and affection that he feels for MJ cuz her favourite flower is the BLACK dalia and Peter must’ve remembered that which made him choose to put black instead of blue. Also, fun fact about Andrew Garfield: when andrew had free time between shooting of tasm 2, Andrew would keep the suit on and go around New York in the spidey suit and play basketball ball with kids.

I’m actually pretty sure the blue on Spider-Man was always meant to be black instead of blue. That was just how they colored black in comics back then.
My mind is so messed up that I thought for a second that he had chosen the black color was because mj is-

I love how you mentioned that you didn't like TASM suit not having a belt. This was a major feature of the suit in the videogame for the same movie. I always thought it worked well for that suit.

@@cngotham4111 because it has the best colouring for one, the red is the most vibrant and doesnt have that pink tint that tasm2 one does. Second the raised webbing stands out more than any other suit, third the logo is the best size, doesnt cover 3/4 of his chest. Fourth the material is like something you can literally pick up at your local store, tasm2 the materials used for the blue segment are very expensive and thick and rubbery. even more so than the raimi suit.

It also helps andrew is thinner so the tasm 2 suit is thinner. I'd add the spider symbol is good on andrew and Tobey. Also it's all red not pink your eyes are failing you lol.

Great ranking! Tobey’s suit may not be the best of all time, but in my opinion is the best nostalgic feeling suit. With Andrew’s having the best look in terms of it looking like a kid actually made it with whatever materials he could find. And Tom’s suit being the best in terms of showing a more emotionally animated side of Spiderman due to the eyes.

I love Tom's Homemade suit. I'd be fine with a movie in it, so the design is nice, but it also shows how smart Peter is without the characters outright telling you he's smart. There were points in the Raimi films and TASM where it didn't feel like he was as smart as he should be with the exception of a few scenes, but Tom's movies sold that idea without really saying it. He has moveable lenses and created web shooters without any of Starks help, it works into the story really well, and we got the McFarlane logo as a bonus.
tbh the Amazing spider man 1, suit is my favorite, unlike a lot of ppl, I love the orange lances that are small and bug like, also it looks great without the belt in my opinion

Honestly, i pretty much agree with you on all stops. I think if they tone down the gloss of the Final Swing suit, it'll be literally perfect. I think that the AS2 suit is defintiely one of the best, but i also dislike the shiny nature of it, and would personally put homecoming and final swing ahead of it, but that's more a personal take. great video ! and you also gave good reasonings for all your spots and examples of what you liked and disliked, even on the lowest rated of suits.

@@CINEMAZE I always felt like the Amazing Spider-man 2 Andrew Garfield suit was the closest thing to the classic comic book we ever got. And then again with the final shots of the Tom Holland donning that new suit in No Way Home it felt like he was returning to form with that suit attempt again to be like the original. I'd even go so far as to say the final Tom Holland's suit is even brighter and has more vivid saturated colors like in the comics too.
The biggest thing i love about the ffh upgraded suit is the massive white spider on the back. Having the simple colors and contrast makes it one of my favorites.

The black and gold suit is explained to be inside out but it looks more like it’s the tech layer beneath it. Making the fabric we see over it as a removable (washable) layer. Makes you wonder if there’s ANOTHER layer beneath it to keep his sweat away from the wires and other components.
That would make a lot of sense!

I really love the Nicholas Hammond suit personally, if you look at the NWH concept art you can see designs for the final swing suit which take heavy inspiration from the Hammond suit
There's also a lot of pretty famous spiderman fan films on youtube like "peter's web" and "goblins last stand" which have more live action suits of varying quality levels

A lot of people have been saying this! It was super close for me, the main thing is that we don’t get a proper look at the suit in NWH it’s moving and we have only seen the design property in concept art. If we ever see a real physical suit in later films it could improve
@CINEMAZE that is very fair. The physical suits always look the best, so it makes sense to choose a physical suit over one that doesn't exist yet. Hopefully, they don't cover the suit in cgi or change it for Spider-Man 4.

My top 3 is 3) NWH Final Swing suit, 2) TASM2 suit, 1)TASM1 suit. Andrew’s second suit is basically perfection but I’ve always been a sucker for his first one. I’ve loved it ever since I first saw it on screen, and idc what anyone says the yellow eyes are sick imo. His second suit is a very close second and the Raimi suit and Far from home suits are my runner ups being very close. All these 5 suits are very close to each other since they all look Fantastic.

Brilliant question, that suit looks awesome very classic comic mixed with some MCU and previous Spidey suits. I get why they changed it because they wanted their suit to look more unique, but that prototype suit does look awesome so it would rank very high up my list I think. I also love the stark suit they replaced it with but it’s a shame it’s so CGI especially in civil war
the no way home finale suit was my favorite of all time I hope they bring it back for the next Tom holland Spider-Man film

I still think Tobeys is the best suit. Its just too damn perfect in terms of blending it with the original comics, but giving a modern more realistic look. The raised webbing was a fantastic choice and honestly all the suits should do it. He has the best spider symbol also. But ASM2 suit is a close second for me. You can even tell it was inspired by Raimis with the raised webbing and dark blues and reds.
I think Toms newest suit is definitely his best. I never liked any of the Stark suits cause he relies on them wayyy too much. But I think its almost too close to the comics, where it looks a bit cartoony. Which is why I believe Raimis to be #1. Because its close enough to the comics, but not too much to look like a Halloween costume.
I'm so glad you mentioned the original comic design for the iron spider suit. Like, I respect the MCU design for the iron spider, but that classic design will always be Superior to me. Crazy how divisive that suit can make the fandom.

The CGI for Tobey Maguire looked fine. It’s so annoying how people get so nit picky when it comes to CGI when it actually looks fine
Its great for the time and doesn't ruin the films, but it does feel a bit rubbery and bendy at times. Like you say it looks fine, and looks better than some CGI in recent MCU stuff, but it doesn't look great compared with Amazing Spider-Man CGI which I think is fantastic. Critics were criticizing the cgi back in 2002. So obviously it wasn't fine sometimes. The 2nd movie though greatly improved the cgi.

Actually we have seen the insides of the Stark suit in Homecoming and it looked pretty close to this, except it had one extra layer of clothing to conceal of the wire/tech stuff. Considering this is a suit Peter made in FFH in an airplane using a machine with no time to learn how to use, it's pretty understandable that he would make such a simple mistake and forget the inside layer. Then he had no time to even fix it, if it bothered him so much cause NWH happens right after FFH. An easier explanation would be "looks cool" and "more toys"

I've always really liked Andrew's body. Just like you said in the video the way he's tall and a bit slender but slightly lean with the large head from the face shell, he just looks so much like Spider-Man in the TASM 2 suit

Holy hell, I've always liked TASM1 suit, even though it lacked something in my opinion, but to me TASM2 suit always felt like a betrayal of the original concept. It was good, but I had this feeling of "they should've iterate on the previous design, not just ditch it in favor of a completely different one" and that version in the end of number 6... It's perfect, the best Spider-Man suit hands down, it's a shame it doesn't really exist.

honestly I prefer the TASM1 suit over the TASM2 suit, it just has a unique look to it, and the TASM2 suit is like they backpedalled on the TASM1 suit and decided to go back, and the giant eye lenses look goofy and way less serious than any other suit. it's a decent suit but everytime I look at it, I think this is a suit I could imagine Tobey Maguire in more than Andrew Garfield.
I think the less serious look of the suit was to reflect the less serious tone of TASM2 over TASM1 and Spidey is generally a light hearted character so I prefer the lighter look. Thanks for watching and commenting
I feel like Night Monkey and Black and Gold suit(inside out suit)are pretty underrated they are kinda good but yea it makes sense to put it low as they really weren’t necessary but nice addition to the suits

I feel like the Iron Spider suit being used so often is to show that Peter wants to be like his idol, the one who gave him that suit in the first place. Even after being told that he'd never be iron man, he still wants to honor tony's legacy as that suit is one of the only things Tony left behind for him aside from the EDITH glasses

I agree your opinions on Raimi suits, they felt a bit buffed and goofy. But, I think STARK suit is the best as Tony Stark himself built it. It has the iconic looks and also the tech. If u compare it with the far from home suit it is still much better technologically and looks wise both
