Fantastic video 👏🏿 documentary however The Punisher and Blade were the best as they were for mature audience, Blade saved Marvel Punisher had a great cast, yet a poor budget so bad the costume designer is the set designer, Hulk got better there were plans introduce Jennifer Walters in Hulk, not as a cousin the TV series had Banner sister i.e why She-Hulk was created. New World pictures a disaster due to chapter 11, all there TV shows suffered again great video thanks again.

45 million budget was not low not high back then, tentpole movies where already over 100million, X-Men two years later had 75 million, and Spider Man had 140million as you can see Blade literally kickstarted the super-hero movie craze

In fact, the "films" Deadly Dust and The Dragon's Challenge are actually just 2 part episodes combined to be a movie. The show was released on VHS back in the 90s. There's 2 seasons with Chinese Web/Dragon's Challenge being the ending.
The thing about all previous Spider Man movies that producers failed to grasp was casting a Peter Parker that looked like a high school student and not a 33 year old.
Bill Bixby is the best Live Action Hulk, Eric Bana was okay, Mark Ruffalo could’ve been better if he were in more MCU films than the Avengers films and Thor: Ragnorak. Ed Norton could’ve been good too but he was done SO dirty due to him trying to change the script

Remember Paul D'Amato, that guy from Slapshot who Wolverine was modeled after? Marvel missed a big opportunity to make a retro Wolverine series starring D'Amato as Logan, I wanted to see him do a fight scene against Lou Ferrigno's Hulk.
You missed out Dr Mordrid, yes technically not endorsed by Marvel but was always penned as a Doctor Strange film forcing them to change a few names round and swap out some characters. Also Punisher was released in theatres, I watched it here in the UK, think it may have gone straight to Video in the US. Also Blade rocks, maybe not as a faithful representation of the comic book, but the movie at the time of release was very well received. The ending sucks, way too much bad CGI, but overall a great movie in its time.

The Japanese Spider-Man series took a lot of inspiration from tokusatsu shows Kamen Rider and Super Sentai as it was made by the same studio as both shows. It itself also put a lot of ideas into super Sentai which would form what we know as power rangers today

I recall hearing about how the stunt coordinator specifically decided to take inspiration straight out of the actual Spider-Man comics from the time for how Spider-Man (Takuya Yamashiro) moved in the show. That combined with the really accurate costume helmed by Eaves Brooks makes this a fairly accurate Spider-Man.

The Punisher movie wasn't a masterpiece by a long stretch, but Dolph Lundgren was great casting for the punisher. He had the physicality required for the role and I feel that his tired and expressionless look perfectly conveyed a dead inside death seeker.

I live in Belgium, people still to this day think of Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby when you say "Hulk". When the MCU started, my mom knew Hulk, she told me "I loved the show they did in the 70's", and I watched it as a kid, too (my mom had a DVD of a few episodes). And I agree, the comic book films crazed's genesis is with Blade, Raimi's Spidey and Singer's X-Men.

I recall hearing about how the stunt coordinator specifically decided to take inspiration straight out of the actual Spider-Man comics from the time for how Spider-Man (Takuya Yamashiro) moved in the show. That combined with the really accurate costume helmed by Eaves Brooks makes this a fairly accurate Spider-Man.
funny thing is the costume is the same as the nicholas hammond spiderman just with different masks it was a costume marvel specifically gave out to people doing spidey projects theres a video on youtube of the history of it
Blade should be WAY higher on this list, it is genuinely entertaining and on a list we’re the majority of these movies are boring shit then that matters.
Yeah I defo think The Incredible Hulk pilot is better, but Blade literally beats everything else imho

The Punisher movie wasn't a masterpiece by a long stretch, but Dolph Lundgren was great casting for the punisher. He had the physicality required for the role and I feel that his tired and expressionless look perfectly conveyed a dead inside death seeker.

I agree. Incredible Hulk, Punisher, and Blade are my favorites from this lineup. Still cool there's a video going through all these though.
47:23 That's revisionist history and pure bias. Blade, X-Men, and Spider-Man, are the ones that got marvel movies back on track. And the incredible hulk series was extremely popular for a while and made a lot of people hulk fans
I live in Belgium, people still to this day think of Lou Ferrigno and Bill Bixby when you say "Hulk". When the MCU started, my mom knew Hulk, she told me "I loved the show they did in the 70's", and I watched it as a kid, too (my mom had a DVD of a few episodes).
And I agree, the comic book films crazed's genesis is with Blade, Raimi's Spidey and Singer's X-Men.
