As strange as it is, I actually kind of like this film. It has all of the charm that a B-movie provides, but just with well-known, licensed characters. I think there is a novelty to it that I haven’t seen in any other film of it’s kind. Not to mention, it really embraces the cheesy fun tone of the comics, that you really don’t find in most superhero movies today.

There will come a time, when news is too much. When topics to talk about will run out, and Spider-Man media will cease to exist. In the meantime, WB will still be alive and kicking, cancelling their 18th project straight, a new streak. In that moment, space and time will not matter anymore, because news will come out sooner than man can possibly decipher it. And when that happens, the only refuge from it will be... THE GUTTER SPACE!

@@RadikAliceI believe it's a little bit about both also, I think it's kind of unfair to say that marvel doesn't really care about their projects when a lot of what they're doing does care. Granted there is a lot of woke b******* but that has always been a thing in marvel ant. Another thing that I will say is yes. The last few movies before Deadpool wolverine all sucked phases 1, 2 and 3 perfect. I only count among the ones that sucked ass. Eternals the Scarlet witch Doctor strange the multiverse of madness Black panther wakanda forever Thor love and thunder! Captain marvel and the marvels She-Hulk The falcon and the Winter soldier Ant-Man 3 in secret invasion is the crap ones. All the rest were pretty much good. I think it's unfair to say that all marvel actors are not committed to their projects. Ant are just faking it well. I will grant you sim mu le you is a hacky pretty awful person as well as brie Larson I think every other movie that come out from marvel or Sony that is based on a marvel property is pretty damn great. Yes, it's a shame that this movie didn't get the light of day, but I don't disagree with the decision either. In some prospects I think Avia rad. The reason why he didn't watch it is like this mother. F***** took a huge risk to get marvel out of this slump they were in. Yes, they had to do a bunch of back crawling for years. But arguably the 2005 fantasy 4 wasn't bad. Silver surfer dropped the ball on Galactus. I will admit, but ultimately I can see no real problems with it. How are the duck was panned by a lot because it wasn't an animated short. It was never going to make it as a live action movie but in the end I think that like I said it's unjust to say that everybody at marvel is corrupt. There are some I will agree in marvel that are corrupt and Disney has a large company is corrupt as hell but I believe there are some that actually want to see. These films get made because they love what they do not because they are faking it. Madame Webb s was a sham of movie I will state that for a fact but I think there's a lot of people being hard on this movie and there's a lot of people being hard on marvel in general just because they don't like a certain character or they don't like a certain actor playing them. I don't think it has anything to do with CG effects. What I think it has to do with is I think it has to do with money and who is directing said film at the time. I also think it has to do with the script. If the script treatment is not good then the movie's not going to be good. It also has a lot to do with directing. It also has a lot to do with shooting said movie. If the camera angles aren't great then I'm not going to go see it. I'll be honest. I have seen movies with the wonkiest crappiest camera angles that I have ever seen in my life and I have been deteriored from movies like that. The Ben Affleck movie in my opinion didn't deserve the hate that it got but it also deserved the hate that it got. The Electra film could have been great if it had a better director And I think they dropped the ball too quickly on blade. Here's hoping they get him back to normal and here's also hoping that Wesley Snipes returns because while I love mahershala Ali I do not really see him for the roll Ghost Rider also did not deserve all the hate that it got. That was a pretty ballsy f****** move for Nicolas Cage to do the role that he got meanwhile, every single one of the freaking DC movies just suck like you have. Maybe a few good hits like Shazam. I would say the Christopher Bell run Batman are perfect and the Wonder woman movie was pretty good after that. Everything s*** Man of steel was not worth a damn personally. I hate Superman as a character anyway, because it's hard to write a person who has every f****** power in the world and not have him come up like a complete a****** it doesn't matter what script you're given. If you're written writing Superman, he's going to become an a****** no matter what because he has every power in the world and he has a God complex. That's where you stop writing a story with him. But anyway I'm going on a tangent. The point being is, I don't think everyone should be so critical of every movie that marvel makes. I think we should just love a movie because it really represents something in US fans. That's why I agree we should get this thing released. It would cost them. Nothing to do it. However, at the same time I've watched the same film and while there are some things that I like about the movie, there are absolutely things that I hate. I will agree this isn't the worst fantastic four film. The 2015 film sort of that is the f****** worst. The only thing I think I'm going to be upset about by the new standard of the new fantastic four movie. Is that two things? One it's set in a different reality which I can sort of kind of get behind though at the same time cuz if you explain it away as like oh they there are fantastic four from like years ago that they got shunted away to this reality where this one 's futuristic deal. I can get behind that however. But I cannot get behind. Is the blatant stupidity of saying that shall about the silver surfer? Because she is not in the comics at all. She is not maybe in the most recent comics but definitely not anything else. It is infuriating to that point. Here's hoping that the marvel reset that comes with secret wars manages to be able to go back and tell some of the stories we all want them to tell and cast some actors who probably might be better for certain roles

The sheer passion from the crew is nothing short of extraordinary (Fantastic, even)! Having the actors doing their research and getting into the franchise they're adapting is one thing, but them having the unrelenting enthusiasm and belief in the value of the source material that were needed to forcefully finish the movie with money out of their own pockets when the producer bailed out is something on a whole other scale. This movie should be remembered as a legendary display of human perseverence, not as the laughingstock that it ended up as due to its deliberately sabotaged production.

The kinda fucked up thing about the age difference between Sue and Reed in the movie is that in the original script, she was a fellow student of Reed's. Honestly don't know why they decided to age her back down. I know it's a nod to the Byrne run, but... yeah, could've just not done that.

    • @MrDevius2

I was the screenwriter (Craig Nevius). I don't know how you read my First Draft but thank you for recognizing the difference between it and the movie that was eventually shot (re: the age difference between Sue and Reed). It always felt weird to have Sue be that young. That was one of the few times that I felt it was best NOT to be faithful to the original comic book story. But I was not a producer so it was not up to me! Still, the director and cast did a "fantastic" job and I was pleased that the true blue nature of Marvel's first family made it from the comic book to Stan Lee's treatment to my script to the (bootlegged) screen. The unapologetic earnestness with which we made the movie is probably why it took on a life of its own (in spite of the budget and lack of special effects) and why it is now appreciated with thirty years of hindsight! Thanks again for your careful reading (and diligence finding the first draft).😎

Disney are the overlords of media now and the reason they run marvel in a hands off fashion and let Kevin feige steer the ship means they listened to what he said. Look, now it's turning into dud after money losing dud because they put marvel on the door.

The thing that makes this the most True To Source material Fantastic Four movie is the fact that Ben transforms back and forth for unknown reasons. I also like the fact that Ben and Thing are played by two different actors and love how the last one is shorter than the first, it's like in season 1 of the 90s Fantastic Four cartoon and honestly a preferred switch to what people nowadays expect with Thing being bigger for no reason whatsoever than his human form.
