My 16’ Frontier with a VQ recommend a minimum of 87, but I have always used 89 or higher. All VQ’s are technically high compression and should get higher octane, Nissan uses a knock sensor to adjust ignition timing to compensate for lower octane.
I recommend all VQ owners to use higher octane, even if 87 runs fine.
Didn't they learn from Toyota? They dropped the reliable 6 for a POS turbo 4. They ruined the QX80 also. I own a 23 QX60 Sensory. The new engine is a big no go.
sadly it was too late , Toyotas issues came after everything was already in play
Man it's such a let down. The engine sounds lazy, transmission shift so slowly. How can this be a better truck compare to a Mazda CX90 or an Acura MDX
goodbye engine reliability
MDX all day over the QX60..Nissan has lost their way
Been in both, MDX is a MUCH better choice, Lincoln Aviator, Mazda CX90, and Lexus TX are great too
@@CarGeek360 does the TX handle well? Or is it sloppy? The MDX seems to be closest to a “sports car” with a 3rd row
@@joeschmomofo5020 the TX is more for space/comfort than sportiness, the MDX, CX90, and Aviator will be sportier (I especially hear the CX90 handles really well)
@@CarGeek360the CX 90 handles beautifully. To me, it's the best in the segment in regards to performance, with the MDX , a close second. TX is an excellent buy too if you want the interior space and the ride. Aviator is best if you want an all around luxury cruiser. I would not take this QX60. They FAILED with this one.
@@KevLEXodus between the CX90, MDX, and TX, those three are at the top of the segment, CX90 for sport, TX for comfort, MDX for a mix of both, I highly recomend all three, I don’t like the new QX60 though, I’ve been in two and they drove horribly, only new Infiniti worth buying rn is the QX80, I think the Aviator is great too but I hear it’s not reliable
Tired of subpar engine I’ll hold onto my money
