These figures make me want to get into the character and read more into him. I think a lot of X-Men media overlooks him a bit and I don't hear people talk about him. Always knew he had a genius design. Oh, and I don't know why they didn't keep a similar chest build as the one before it. Like it would involve really less work I think but they stepped up their game. The head of the other one is hideous but this one is sick. This channel helped me appreciate and get back into figures. Now I just need money.
Man I love the head sculpt for Dark Beast here. His head is definitely a smidgen too big, but the sculpt just looks evil particularly the way the teeth were done.
The most honest and unbiased review i watched on this figure. Most reviewers fell in love with the beast body mold that they don't want to look at its flaws. Thanks Anthony

Dark Beast is hands down my favourite figure in the AoA wave, one of favourite Marvel Legends of the year actually. The face is too big but for sure, but like you said the hair helps to hide that somewhat. I won't complain too much about that though when the head sculpt is otherwise basically perfect. That evil grin is fantastic.
My one real complaint about the figure is that Hasbro missed an opportunity to add a calf swivel. They molded the bottom of the pants and the calf separately but glued them together, instead of making it a swivel joint. Oh well, this is still one of the better showing from Hasbro in recent years, every bit as good as Doctor Doom and Omega Red IMO.

Didn't realize from the previous 2 Beasts that used the same body, but I really like the way they sculpted the shoulders on this guy.
I like it when you lift them up, the shoulders actually raise up, as opposed to the standard articulation where they kind of just rotate in place. The whole sculpting deltoids on top of the actual shoulder ball joint vs having the deltoids be part of the ball joint, if that makes sense. Makes it just that tiny bit more anatomically correct.
I just picked this one up on sale, and absolutely love it. I'm not a huge ML collector, but I pick up a few here and there. I was not very impressed with the blue beast figure, the shading seemed slopped on, and I hated that it looked like the texture of the face didn't match the rest of the body. Also, his plastic was just super rubbery and it was hard to get him to hold a pose, so I ended up returning him to the store (didn't know he'd be worth crazy money on ebay just a few months later), but I'm very happy with this guy.
Even if you don't like age of apocalypse or know anything about the character, this is just a cool looking figure.
Personally, the head size on this works because he’s a beastly character, so human proportions don’t apply as much.

Happy Birthday! Among all the recent beast figures released, the blue one and this looks better than the grey one in my opinion. I think its time Hasbro comes up with new molds for different figures since its been a long time we have been seeing the same molds used in different figures.
Of all the Age Of Apocalypse figures, this is the one... Well, you too, Sunfire... is the one that tempted me the most. AoA however is nothing I need on my shelf since I have no love for those stories and for the most part the designs are pretty gaudy. This is a nice figure though and AoA fans should be happy.

Need him for sure,i've always liked getting dark versions of well known characters in figure form.i even like super hero characters in dark costumes,so I always google search any other darker costume one of my favorite characters have worn previously in a comic story I may've missed.

I have my own and completed the set now I’m planning on buying this for my little cousin just cause he’s so cool and the BAF piece is a hammer. So overall he’s a great figure and you can just give him that sugar hammer if you don’t want/can’t complete the set

Dark beast is a malicious mad scientist version of beast in the alternate age of apocalypse timeline. Where he experiments on people and is just all around evil. Even making Mr. Sinister disgusted with what he does. Gray beast idk.

I wasn't sure about this guy until I saw him on my friends shelf so I had to get one paid gamestop prices unfortunately but it's whatever.
As soon as you said the same hands as last time my thoughts went to " and there's no book or glasses " and I covered my eyes, you know, it wasn't until I started watching your videos again that I realized how bullshit it is for Hasbro to reuse so much
Dark beast is supposed to be smaller so the head being too big isn't that big of a problem

The figure overall seems great from what you’ve said, but Hasbro never fails to let a few minor things slide, and it’s a shame really because it would drastically improve the figures, and I can’t imagine it would cost much more than what they’ve already put into it
