I might be in the minority, but the Colossus body is a bit too big for a 90s Sabertooth in my opinion. Omega Red's body would be ok. Sabertooth shouldn't be taller than him. AOA exaggerated proportions, so I don't mind it here. It is a really good figure! Glad we got some swapping parts on such a big dude.

I a big advocate of truish scale proportions so I agree to a point. Sabretooth was big but not really huge. Omega Red is taller and bigger than Sabretooth. The new Cyber figure is too tall as well. He should be about the same height as Sabretooth but he should be much wider

Marvel Legends is Killing it!!!! Getting difficult to keep up!! I think this figure would definitely benefit with double jointed elbows and a set of claws as an added accessory…..nonetheless, a Great review !
Been waiting for this one. Seeing him stacked against the other Sabretooth figures is good and bad, since I love how this one is scaled but it makes me disappointed in that Apocalypse wave version.
I’ve been wanting an update of the Face-Off figure for a long time. It’s one of those Toy Biz figures that I still really like, but I know Hasbro could dethrone it easily. Put out a first appearance and a Jim Lee version on this body and that’s a wrap.

Yeah, I have the same figures, so it is really weird with this Sabretooth towering over 'em. I've seen a few ppl complaining this new one's too big lol; nah, it's the old ones that are too small. The nice thing is this one's gonna fit in scale with my 3 Select ones. And yeah, I'd love a new 1st appearance version. Two heads...one like the Select and the other like the ToyBiz.

As much as I like AOA they gotta gimme some more Exiles characters too, this version of Sabertooth was a badass in that book.
Ohhh yeah, Sabretooth has been my #1 most wanted AoA figure. Not perfect with the large head, but light years better than the previous. Hope Target sends this figure out soon, cause I think it's supposed to ship right about now.

I don't even like AOA, but I am getting this figure. This is a really nice depiction of Sabertooth. It's cool to see him with new expressions. This could pass for a casual Sabertooth.
In the comics Sabertooth is 6 foot 6 inches. Cable has 2 inch on him in height. Cable is a beast.
Same here, never have gotten my hands on a Sabretooth before, so i'll be using him until my Marvel Select pre order arrives.
I really wish he came with claw hands like the side artwork, it just looks off to me

Also nobody seems to remember but in the original AOA comic book run (astonishing Xmen) he never used his claws? I have the comics, this figure is more accurate by not having the claws!!🤷♂️
Sabretooth Height
is 6′6″ (1.98 m). So I think this figure is a little big. Still the best Sabretooth figure we got. Need a new classic and better Jim Lee one.
This body is also perfect for new Wrecking Crew figures.

As usual, I'm late to the party. That's mainly because I'm on a tight budget and have to buy figures on sale or clearance. Anyway, great review! I just got this figure and think it's great! Aesthetically, he's definitely the best Sabertooth.
Toybiz did have a wild child with sabretooth in their age of apocalypse series.
So I thought it was a no-brainer to put Sabretooth on the Omega Red buck. Then seeing it wasn't, I was expecting something smaller. So this thing came out way better than I imagined. Besides that silly looking pupiled head, they sure got some big ass noggins. I mean a little better proportioned compared to the last bobblehead Sabretooth, but dude doesn't have that big guy/smaller head comic proportions.
We need more AOA villains!!!!! Once you set up all the figures...its a quick realization!!

I swear I love this figure but my only gripes is no claw hands! And no butterfly joints! I'd take the clawed hands over the butterfly joints but damn we could've had both. Other than that the figure is damn near perfect imo.

Absolutely! I mean I'd prefer the Omega Red buck, but for whatever reason this is the one they went with. Until then, I use my Selects as the default classic and Jim Lee versions.
Have the whole wave, cannot find the figure before the Amazon release date of November 3rd!!

They're filling out this roster in short order. I figure two more waves and a couple deluxe figures and you can tie a bow on AoA.
At a minimum you need Bishop, Night Crawler, Havok, Storm, Angel, Gambit, Jubilee, Mystique, Banshee, Dazzler, Exodus, Forge, Sinister, and Abyss.
Nemesis, AoA Wolverine, Rasputin and/or Strong Guy could serve as BAF'S/Deluxe figs. I also imagine there will be a Madri or Infinities army builder. These are just my guesses.
That leaves out the Gen Next team as well as supporting characters from X Man and Gambit & the Externals. But overall the above list is pretty comprehensive.

Cool Wolverine villain, but not my favorite look of the X-MEN and the villains. Still that body mold would be perfect for a 90s Jim Lee Sabretooth.
Why can’t they just make a regular sabertooth figure on that body?

9:17 It's interesting your perception is the opposite of mine. I think the Jubilee wave one is the best proportioned, minus that ugly Hyperion chest. The Jim Lee one looks like a 5'3" portioned guy. This new one seems a bit more extreme with the Mezco style giganta-head syndrome. But I do like hearing these very different perspectives. Makes me like the figure that much more, cause I'll just pretend my perception filter is totally out of whack lol.
The collar not coming glued from the factory was really not worth mentioning. Some people would not mind it being permanently attached and some would resent it. Always better to leave the collector the option of removing accessories.

I don't think HASBRO will make Gambit for a 3 AOA wave because he is not with Rogue because she is with Magneto which is weird.
I'm not sure why everyone's okay with Sabertooth not having claw hands can somebody please explain that logic to me?
Because this version of Sabertooth didn't use his claws when fighting. He punched and kicked but only used his claws one time and that was while he was desperately trying to beat Holocaust. He slammed his claws into his head dome and pulled it apart. That's the only time. That's why he doesn't need claw hands. Sure, they would look great in a pose but not true to the character.

Creed is 6'6 not 7'6. People gotta stop going by artist drawing characters outta scale and then thinking that's how tall they are. Artistic license is killing scale accuracy in the line. The 2 Sabertooths on AOA' left are scale accurate to the character's listed hgt of 6'6.
Sadly this IS the best Sabertooth but still not good enough
No way, the Apocalypse wave one is the best. This one has a goofy headsculpt and limited elbow mobility.
