What determines whether you chose to use the 50 or 85mm lens?

We like the 85 the best as it gives more of that dreamy background. We will use the 50 mm when we need more room to stand back or want more in the frame.

Is there any way to “fake” a low aperture? My lens only goes down to f4.5.

If you’re looking for a creamy background, try pulling your subject away from the background and get closer to your subject. 👍
