    I'm using the Modus 3 105, used them for 3 years and just had them fitted into my new p770s. Came across this shaft by luck as i've been using KBS for years, but the guy did not have the C-Taper upgrade for the p790s i was getting fitted for back in 2017/2018, and so glad he said try this Tour Modus3 (no up-charge either), and haven't looked back since! Love listening to Mark's side of things, some knowledge in that head!. #lockdown3 brought me here!

    Russ fitted me for the Modus 3 120S version of this shaft and it is the best performing and feeling shaft I have ever used. Thanks Russ and great video.

      Great to hear, I have a set in the shop for myself, still deciding on which head, leaning to the P790ti.

      DevotedGolfer . Have you tried the Mizuno MPH range? I have the 3 and 4 iron and they are money and feel great! If I was starting from fresh I would probably go with a full set of these as they slim down a lot in the lower irons. Cheers and good building

    I came from a background of playing the S300/S400 and when I switched to the X100 as a "graduation" for my speed and power, it definitely felt dead. I had felt stuck in between these two shafts because I loved the firmness of the X100, just not in the handle, but I loved the bending style of the S300 and R300 shafts.
    Ended up testing out the 120X and it was probably the perfect combination of everything I liked about the 3 dynamic gold shafts, a softer handle, a mid section that bends but doesn't get overwhelmed, and a stable tip section that delivered the loft appropriately and face consistently into the ball.
    I think as a better player it tends to get lost on people just how important it is that a shaft fit your swing dynamics, since they're so used to a fitter just giving them a random shaft, and then the player spends most of the time trying to fit their swing into it as opposed to the shaft complimenting their swing and being under total control.
    If you're ever feeling like you're stuck and hopeless about improving the numbers when you think you got your swing figured out, a shaft tune-up is likely all you really need.

      Your personal experience is so valuable for those in search of a better game. A golf shaft can enhance your game or force you to accommodate your swing to it. A shaft fitters knowledge and experience are important in their ability to find the right shaft for your golf objectives. Unfortunately there are many that claim to be fitters that lack the knowledge and experience to perform the the art of club fitting for the talented, physically literate golfer.

    Russ, that B+ driver shaft sounds very interesting. I love the Modus 3 120S iron shafts. Let me know when you have that in. Cheers

    Is the 130 close to the long dead Dynalite?

    Hey Russ I’ve been playing with 950GH for years with great success. Should I even consider the Modus line?

      As Mark and I discussed at length, you must try before you buy. My advice is always, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    I can't seem to get a definitive answer on this: is the profile design the same between 130 in stiff and in x-stiff? I've heard it has a different relative tip stiffness design? I really like the 130 in stiff but overpower it at times, 'hesitant to switch up a flex if the design is different...

    • @DevotedGolfer
      @DevotedGolfer  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The profiles are identical on all of the 130 shafts. They get heavier and stiffer.

      @@DevotedGolfer Hmmm, okay thanks for getting back to me. The Wishon software seems to suggest otherwise but 'appreciate you replying all-the-same.

      @@wodenoftheangles3339 Have you been to my golf shaft site, www.GolfShaftReviews.info ? I knew the Wishon software many years ago and learned after investing several years with it that it had serious shortcomings. I designed and manufactured an instrument to measure shafts that way shaft engineers do. That instrument is now used in many shaft company's R&D laboratories.
