My grandfather liked the Germans as they were generous and fearless fighters. He said that without a doubt, his FLAK gun team would ve been wiped out if it not were for the Germans who"just drove into positions without caring about enemy fire, set up 4 barrel cannons and started shooting. Those tracers looked like pearl bands as they flew across the small lake and hit their lines.Soon they started retreating."One story was Christmas when Germans gave his team some bad cheese which they threw away.Grandpops wondered why they immediately retrieved the cheese from dumpster.German officer explained that Blue Cheese is a great delicacy and very liked in Europe.Pops said that they clearly saw it was covered in mold and nobody dared to even taste it.He served in Winter war -39-40,Continuation war -41-44 and war of Lapland -44-45.He once said his exact service was 1136 days in action, meaning front line duty as sergeant of a Flak gun.He was born 1921 and died 2010.

Plus, the narrator here is Robert Powell, another great English actor.

Back in the day Romania was spelled Rumania, derived from the original French spelling Roumania. The Romanians decided back in the 1950s to spell it with the "O". Of course it took some time to catch on and it wasn't until the 1970s that it began to stick. As a school kid in Spelling, Geography and History, either way was acceptable.
