Rev! back in 1993, I was only 25 and I had a 1977 silver Mercury Brougham 4 door Cougar, with an automatic transmission, 4 barrel, 427 cubic inch, 8 cylinder Cleveland engine in it. The only thing was, is that the master cylinder was shot and I just didn’t have $800 to replace it, at the time. So one day, I started the engine and switched the transmission to DRIVE, but I just couldn’t stop the car and I ended up hitting a small fence post, without damaging anything. Its pretty panicking, even when you hit a small post at 5 mph. Lol! By the way, I can’t believe that the new $7,00 condenser didn’t work out and that you had to replace it over again, with the original one. That’s amazing! As à matter of fact, you did a great engine clean up job, on those sticky valves and on that 289 cubic inch motor as well. With that high pressure water hose, the results on the engine looks fabulous. The outside looks pretty clean too around the car, except for that very light surface rust. No major body job is much required on this car, depending on the floor pans and the exhaust system. I guess the moss gave a very good protection to the car, over the years, and on the sheet metal. Lol. As for the paint, let’s face it, it needs a new one. Now all you need to do is to fix those brakes and with a little body sanding, this beautiful Galaxie 500 deserves a brand new paint job, with its original blue color tone on it, as well. Now I’m not saying that it has to be a very expensive paint job, like in some of those Classic American Antique car shows, where you’ll find Ford Galaxies, that are worth $60 000, but im only suggesting that with a new paint job, this will add more value to the vehicle itself. I’m very glad that you’ve gotten that wheel unstuck. Good job and good show, Rev! Keep us posted for more segment footages, on your next TH-cam files. I look forward to it. Please send all my regards to the old man, for me. Thank you! Johnny, Montréal, Canada.

I think the real value is in the 2 doors, but I hope to find some value in this 4 door rig... Thanks for watching Johnny.. the Ole Man said hello in return.

Man, you worked really hard, been there, looks MUCH BETTER!! And thank you, thank you, for putting white wall tires on!! Thats what it came with, and really looks so much better, and the original hubcaps. Fantastic! And even though the brakes aren't working, the brake lights are!! Lol.

I'd run a couple cans of Berrymans b-12 chemtool in the crankcase and run it for about 20 minutes and drain the oil, if you do, don't be surprised if ya gotta Poke the drain hole cause it will loosen up Alllll kind of Sludge. $3.87 a can at Wally world, been using it for years

Getting the old ford looking sweet. Love the poor man's paint job, the oil always comes through when you apply it to an old ford. Gives it that, let's roll down the hwy look. You guys are awesome. Keep it up with the old fords. You just can't keep them down. 😁👍👍

That is one nice looking car the white walls and Hubcap's set it off. I always say just because something is new don't mean its good and rev do the brakes first next time believe me I know I once put the nose of a Chevy caprice through a brick wall doing that. I got ahead of myself. The worst it was my future father in laws car! Take care love to see a new video.
