Another great rigging tutorial. Thank you so much. Would be amazing to get an in-depth face rig tutorial. 🔥

Thank you ! I think I'll end up doing a full face rig tutorial, even a body one, but it takes quite some time ^^'

@@rakenval I would absolutely love a in-depth face rig tutorial. Even paid one at that. It's crazy how little there is in the Blender community of good in-depth facial rigs. Please make one if possible!

I think I'll try to make a little serie about it. It's too complex to fit in a short video but also the whole face is connected so I can't really tackle just the lips or just the eyelids separately for example
I'm not sure yet, I'll think about it

@@rakenval That makes sense. In any case great job with your tutorials so far. Also would be able to sell this cute rig? Or is not something you interested in?

      thanks
are you talking about the lizard rig ? I've thought about it, I'd just have to clean it up and updtade before being able to sell it
I'll let you know if I do it eventually

Hey thank you so much for this awesome tutorial,I searched a lot for rigging the iris and pupil with painted textures before I found your video , and it was perfect , but im having a hard time finding out how can i merge this rig with my meta rig for the full character , could you please tell me briefly what should i do ?

First, if the meta rig has face bones, there probably are eye bones in it already
If that is the case, two options :
      - if you plan to use rigify or another autorig addon, delete the eyes def bones and controllers of your eye rig, and only keep the UV contoller bones
      - otherwise, delete the eye bones of the meta rig
Then, in object mode, select the eye rig first then the meta rig, and press crtl J to join them.
Finally, any bone of the eye rig that has no parent should be parented to the head bone of the meta rig
Those steps should do the trick

I am finding these Eye Tutorials very useful. However I'm having trouble because with the way that I have designed my Alien eyes, they have three cat like pupils on each eye: two smaller ones on a side, and and another big central eye. I feel like I am overcomplicating the rig. And I'm also having issues with the UV's not properly showing up, even tho it's centred in the uv map. I'm sure with a little bit more of experimentation I can get it to work, and these tutorials are really helping a lot.

Managed to resolve the UV problem, By just looking at the example eyes I was able to understand where the problem was.
