Do the front axles disconnect from the front differential when in 2wd or is the front drive shaft always spinning like the previous gen ranger?
I like the fact that it has some power and it’s small. That turbo 3L V6 will be fun in that little pickup
They have a 2.7L V6 coming that's pretty fun and a little more affordable. Heard a rumor that it might be launching later this year with optional tremor trim. Think that would be the sweet spot. Tremor FX4 with the 2.7L
as a long term Ford guy who currently owns a F150 Tremor, I may want to get a smaller truck when i retire. was thinking for the first time about a Tacoma TRD Pro or Trailhunter, but i am interested in the Ranger Raptor as well. i want something that i can travel with and park in smaller places without needing a field to turn around. Ford always has the best interior by far in my opinion. I wish they had the Eruption Green color like my Badlands Bronco! I am not sure about the new green for Raptor??? maybe better in person? only thing i hope is the ranger raptor is more level, i had to put a leveling kit on my Tremor, i hate how the front ends are lower.
Dealership mark ups will ruin this truck!
I’m in GA, and I just saw on Autotrader a dealer asking 77k already for it b4 it hits the lot, and the same dealer on Marketplace asking 88k it’s ridicules stupid.
Yeah, Big Star Ford in Houston tx told me 30K Mark up. I said hell no and got me a Colorado ZR2
I WISH they moved the trailer plugs up near the license plate instead of under the bumper
Love the new Ranger! I can't figure out why they didn't split the back seat though. Super lame if you've got kid seats in the back. Kudos to Ford for letting anyone add a rear locker to any trim.
It's like they always leave something for the yearly refresh, that non split bench is bizarre and needs to go

Thanks for mentioning backseat room and your height. My biggest concern about the truck, I’m 6’6 and my kids are young but don’t want them outgrowing it in 3-5 years. Most people that do reviews never mention their heights.

i dont understand why they didnt put a rear vent for passenger at the back. i was exited for this truck to finally get here in u.s. after seeing alot of them in philippines. and oh their version does have a rear vent. oh well i guess ill pass.
looks nice. But I don't need a raptor speed demon made for Baja speed. I'd rather have a trail riding and rocking crawling midsize truck. I have no place for zipping down trails at high speed.

My only complaint is on the interior. Only one color option for the interior and you're stuck with the red trim. Come one Ford. Give us some options here. That red trim doesn't go with all the exterior colors.
Better than tacoma for sure! You forgot to mention front lockers! Not a available on tacoma at any trim!
We did breeze over that, but yes, front and rear lockers are awesome
Correct; only the American 🇺🇸 nameplates are offering front lockers: Chevy Colorado ZR2, GMC Canyon AT4X, & this Raptor. 🤘🏻 Toyota Tacoma 🇯🇵 looks terrible (exterior design) as well.

@@krasnaludek298maybe that's why they have to film the Tacoma sloshing thru mud. Give people the false impression they got the goods when none of the trims got it. Anyone doing serious off roading will want a front locker if available. Makes you wonder why they have a trim called trail hunter that is less capable than their competitors while costing $10k more.

For 80K CAD I don’t want to hear the word disappointed. Bison and Tacome Trailhunter are less expensive. Wait for a 10k rebate on this ranger.

Lots of cool features, but definitely the ugliest of all the mid sized trucks though.

Tacoma is highest selling midsized truck in America. 😂 Outsells Ranger 3 to 1. No one wants the Ranger.
Who knows if it’ll retain that reputation with the new gen. Tacoma’s popularity was built off its reliability. With the move to turbo 4 banger, their reliability will be called into question. Sure one can argue that Toyota will most likely still be more reliable compared to other brands, but at the end of the day a turbo is less reliable than a naturally aspirated engine; that’s just a fact.
Additionally, the new gen Tacoma’s are becoming insanely overpriced. You want a TRD OR with dual climate control, powered seats, and a powered rear window (something that was standard on the outgoing ‘23 OR model)? Then saddle up because you’ll need to add nearly $10,000 in additional packages just to get those features back, bringing the MSRP up to $53k. That’s a TRD OR, not even their top of the line TRD Pro, approaching the price of a ranger Raptor. It’s safe to say the Pro will be well over $60k, possibly approaching mid 60’s. Unfortunately, you get more bang for your buck from other brands nowadays.
Better than Tacoma? lol what a joke. Good luck with the 💩 build quality of ford trucks. People pissing away money because they are loyal to a brand that couldn’t care less about their customers. Love to see it
This is a Raptor. Durability and quality are through the roof, plus it smashes the Toyota in terms of performance.
