I was 17 (now 35) when i discovered this song and i requested it once in a bar and within a week all of the regulars there were screaming it out of the top of their lungs, the entire bar went insane over this song, it's such a wonderful one ❤❤❤
If you like ballads SONATA ARCTICA - "TALLULAH" Live YLE TV is kind of sad but a beautiful one. The video is from a Finnish TV-format "SuomiLove" (FinlandLove, stupid title.) The idea is that you surprise someone important to you with a meaningfull song. The song is performed by Sonata Arctica and an orchestra - Vantaa Entertainment Orchestra.
The singer sometimes says just before the song "paid on full," that Toyota Corolla was full paid many many years ago 😄 Kakko has quite funny talkings between songs👀 And greetings from Finland 🇫🇮

This song is about his relationship with writing. Saw them live a few times, once in their hometown in Kemi.
Yeah, Kakko is a power metal singer, his voice is very powerful. And off topic. Love from Finland. Been to Poland a couple of times and planning a trip to Romania. Cheers guys
The first 4 albums of Sonata Artica have amazing songs, in my perspective, with reckoning night being my favorite even though Winterhead's Guild, where this song if from, was the first album from Sonata that I really enjoyed from start to finish(it was when I met them so it makes sense). I gradually started getting away from them when Liimatainen left, even though Unia didn't already amuse me as the first 4 ones. And here Tonny Kakko kept the mistic of this song I would say
Unia was the last album i truly truly loved, not that I didn't like the next ones but they didn't vibe with me. However, the last acoustic ones are superb ❤

My first concert ever was Sonata Arctica and Nightwish. They toured together in the early 2000s with SA supporting Nightwish, maybe it was 2003? It was the tour where Tony performed "Beauty and the Beast" with Nightwish in every show. Very fond memories of that concert. I was 15 and me and my best friend back then were allowed to go by ourselves even tho it was in Cologne which was over an hour train ride away.
The first time I saw Sonata Arctica was in Gothenburg, sweden 1999.
They were foreband to Rhapsody, who were foreband to Stratovarius. 😂

Tony Kakko features in one of early Nightwish songs, "Beauty and the Beast," Tampere Pakkahuone 2000 concert, better known after the album recorded there "From Wishes to Eternity". It's a bridge, if you want to walk it.

Great band with a great singer. They have many fast bangers and beautiful ballads to offer. In this concert his micro is a little low sadly.
Try Stratovarius band from Finland too..no matter what song u take..all is awesome and vocalist voise is cool..Timo Kotipelto he's name..❤

Sonata Arctica used to be one of my favourite bands. Until they didn't change their music... Their first 3 albums are something closest to perfection to me when it comes to power metal. "The Misery" is from the third album and it is one of my favourite Sonata Arctica songs, BUT, even though Tony (the singer) was very good in this one, I must say that for me Sonata Arctica is not a live band. I don't like their live performances, Tony adds a lot of changes to songs which, to me, don't really sound as good as the studio versions.
Go and listen to the studio version of this song. It is beautiful. The lyrics too.
And also Sonata Arctica has some of the most beautiful metal ballads. I really think you might like them.
Also, I think I have already wrote it somewhere, they are a huge nature lovers, wolfs lovers and they have songs about that, too.
And I am talking only about first 3 albums (or 3 and a half, because the 4th has 3 amazing songs). I don't know their later music, it's just not my cup of tea, it's very different from what it was in the beginning.
If you listen to the studio version of this song, the really high harmonies are actually there in the background. How could you not like this live performance, it was incredible.
