Fun fact: Tony and Tuomas Holopainen from Nightwish are very good friends 🙂 My two favourite bands, Sonata Arctica and Nightwish 🧡
Tony is such a good story teller on stage and he makes you feel all the emotions of the song.
Don't know if Tony has covered Scorpions or Twisted Sister. But with Northern Kings, he has sung lead on covers of Peter Gabriel, Prince, and David Bowie.
Still Loving you, by The Scorpions. He's covered that
tony have so strong good voice. amazing band and live also super super. thanx to great reaction.
Tony is such a great singer... I start listen to SA since Tuomas from Nightwish named them as an inspiration in a documental many years ago.
They are a great power metal band (at least at their beggining).
Thanks for the reaction!
Seen them at Qstock in Oulu couple of times.... ..but the best experience has always come from Satama Open Air in Kemi Finland.
Sonata is the band you can always trust. They're not the biggest over-the-top-and-around-the-world -like performers, but they're defo one of the most highly respected. We Finns appreciate most in everything stability and the way it once were and Sonata carry their colors at a constant if you will. Ageless, priceless, ever brilliant.
sonata is still my favourite band coz songs touched me in hard plases more than nw did i mean they both uber hard to pick favourite but sonata is nmr 1 for me
Very soothing performance.
Heavier song by Sonata Arctica: "Full Moon" th-cam.com/video/CKhC7J8ejq0/w-d-xo.html
Yes please!
Sonata Arctica 💙💙
Exact and to the point reaction. Thx!!!
He has covered a Scorpions song, Still Loving You

What he says:
My name is Tony Kakko. Good evening. I'm your so called "Host" tonight. I hope you had fun tonight - so far. At least we have enjoyed every moment. I hope that vibe continues. From the Winterheart's guild album we'll play a song called Misery.
The band has a great cover of Scorpions : Still loving you
I thought they had more but apparently they were just inspired by them.
Great reaction and analysis!!
Please do: Sonata Arctica - Victoria's Secret [LIVE]!!
they did a cover of still loving you by scorpions
Tony was asking the audience how the evening has been so far, and hoping everyone is feeling good. Then told the upcoming songs name. In Finnish obviously.
Tony has a great voice... So do you by the way.
Not the most spectacular live band, I've seen them few times in Finland as the opening/supporting act. I guess that just goes to show how high the level of competition is. Still listen to their albums though, they are expertly produced and the music is quite unique.
U said it. I've been Sonata fan from the beginning, seen them live more than 15 times. And we do have such a high level what comes to live performance in Finland! High standard thru hard competition is one factor why we have many succesful metal bands here, also popular in YT. Sonata was one of the pioneers in my opinion. Maybe now bands like Battle Beast etc. have raised the bar even higher, but we can all just be grateful for that
I stopped following them about 8 years ago, but while Sonata Arctica tended to be good live, Tony could be inconsistent. Some songs or shows he absolutely nailed, while others not so much. To date, I've never heard a live version of _Full Moon_ that I really liked, other than in the Songs of Silence show from 2002.
Hi can you react on this rock song: OLLIE - Venom from Estonia 🇪🇪 , he is very strong with his voice I hope you will enjoyed in this song...
He's covered Freddie Mercury
He just introduced the band and said that's the man, the myth the legend Henkka and he's Tony Kakko.
I ❤️ these Kings of The North
Tony grew up in the 80's so Scorpions yes. Him and Jarkko Ahola huge Queen fans.
Tony was on the edge of burnout before the world took a 3 year break so his voice repaired itself and the accoustic version of For The Sake of Revenge is proof his voice has been rested and gotten better.
That's actually great to hear. I haven't heard Tony sing lately, but his voice wasn't even close to same it was twenty years ago. And I'm not talking about just the aging factor, but the health.
