Thanks a lot for the video. The current CEO wants to drive standards higher and expand EY. He also reactivated a few of its A380s (these had been grounded during the pandemic and it was thought EY would never operate them again).
Besides Air Berlin I believe EY lost even more money through its investment in AZ (Alitalia). The latter eventually failed and became ITA Airways. Interestingly ITA had to withdraw from LHR because the previous AZ slots were owned by EY ! Hence ITA now serves London with flights to LCY or LGW.

Nice trip report! Etihad is good on Medium to Long Haul Flights. I avoid their short haul offerings because they don’t have IFE anymore and the service does not compare to Qatar or Emirates

I have nothing against to those Vloggers who are showing mostly business and first classes, they are also doing great. But in my opinion, most passengers are travelling on the economy class, that’s why I think it’s good for them to know what they would except on Economy services. ☺️☺️
Is Etihad still allowing personal backpacks for Economy flight? MANILA TO LONDON I booked economy and I have a herschel backpack that has 30L size but 3kg inside only for my personal backpack/belongings that includes my personal laptop and a portable monitor together with all travel documents. A ps5 bag that fits the dimension of the carry on baggage rules with 5kg total weight A checked in baggage with 30kg total weight Will this all get through? My flight is in the end of the month. Hope to hear all your thoughts and suggestions Do not send me the link of ETIHAD baggage rules because I am confused as there are a lot of post that they get through with personal backpack.
What I don’t like about Etihad is that they don’t get rid of their old planes like I had an eight hour flight and the plane was soo old the seats were so old and rusty and the entertainment screen was dull and old , Etihad if you are seeing this comment, please get rid of your old planes
