    ⚠️: ALARM NOISE AT 00:20
This Honda Odyssey 2003 was sitting for a while and I had a dead battery, and the minute I tried to jump the car, the Alarm went OFF and wont stop.
So I got the idea to unplug the HORN RELAY just to get rid of the noisy sound...
When I removed the relay I got rid of the sound but the Alarm was still on clicking but at least no embarrassing noise.
I started up my car and I let it running for a while to recharge my battery, and in the same time I was trying to find out why the Alarm wont stop.
And since one of the reasons that the Alarm goes Off from unevenly closed doors, I started by checking all the doors of the car by unlocking them and locking them back and at the end I noticed that the issue was coming from the Trunk.
    Note:
Some of the reasons your car alarm keeps going off include faulty sensors, low battery, wiring problems, and a broken key fob. It could also be from unevenly closed doors. While an alarm or ECU reset can fix most issues, others may require professional services.

this is the easiest and permanent solution. (i just had fuse there instead of relay)

The issue is the tailgate latch. Open the tailgate and take a look at the latch in the threshold. It's held in place by two Phillips screws. When these screws get loose, they will cause the alarm to go off. All you have to do is tighten them up. Easy fix. If they get loose again, use some Loc Tight.

Thank you for your comment, I will make sure to look at the these screws if its the case

Just tried this out with mine. Locked it first then unlocked it. Opened the tailgate and noticed the screws were loose and made of plastic? Either way tightened them up and took out the horn relay. No more annoying alarm for now 🤦🏽 thanks again for the extra pointer

I have an 07 Odyssey, battery was completely dead, although Ive replaced the battery twice in the last 5 months. Couldn't figure out why I would have to jump start my van if it hadn't been driven in only two days. I took my van in and the guy hooked up a computer to it to do a diagnostic, he could not find anything wrong with the systems, however, when he turned off the ignition, the battery voltage was dropping more than it should, the battery would not hold a charge. he thought that there was some kind of parasitic draw on the battery but could not find the source so he told me to go get a new battery since it was under warranty.. So I did and the same thing was happening, if I did not drive everyday, then I would need a jumpstart. Finally, here I am going to jump start the van and its in alarm mode, like your video. On the 07 there isn't a horn relay fuse, its called horn/stop. So I pulled that one, but the lights keep blinking and making the clicking sound, the charger keeps going one way and then other with the sound the click. Turning the ignition does nothing as the battery was completely dead. any ideas?

I have the same issue with my 2007 Odyssey. The mechanic said a door module has a short and replaced the door module but the issue persist. What could be the issue then?

Open hood to the right of the latch there is a little white plastic clip that is sticking out of the radiator support .. push that clip in and pull the wire out from under the support and disconnect that connection.. it’s the hood latch security connector, they go bad very common on these

It could be, but in my case it was the trunk...Thank you for the information 🤙

    Honda 2007 :
Our car battery had drained so we needed to jumpstart it. That set the alarm off. Take the manual out and discover where the horn/stop fuse is and take it out. ( it’s in the fuse box under the hood. Then you can run the jumpstart and the engine for as long as you want. Without noise.
That doesn’t fix the alarm and the emergency lights going off, but at least the battery gets charged.
The car is obviously open at this point so therefore the lock is already in an unlocked position.
So what you do is you just lock it instead and hold the key in place for two seconds and then go back and unlock it for two seconds. Bingo. fixed it

I had the same problem as you. I went on vacation for 10 days and when I came back, the same thing happened to me. I unlocked the trunk of my car and managed to make the noise stop. But the other problem is that the central locking stopped working along with the interior lights and the screen. Were you able to find and fix the problem?

this video was very helpful to me. Exactly the same issue. Just unclear what was the issue with trunk door that caused the alarm. What should I look for?

When one of the doors is not locked right, the sensors of the car get confused acting like it's a theft situation and kick the alarm

Easier way to turn alarm off when this happens is insert key into driver door and unlock van it will shut off alarm no need to take fuse off when alarm goes off unlock drivers door with key

Doesn't work in all the cases and it was the first thing done but didn't work for me...disabling the horn is just a hack so you don't feel embarrassed in the neighborhood.

Quick question will this work after getting a key and ignition replacement? I dont have the original key

    • @LightOverdoZ
      @LightOverdoZ  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Removing the relay temporarily will prevent the alarm from going off but in your case you will need to program the ignition key at any local smith.

The alarm goes off when the ignition key is on,this is just hack to turn off the annoying alarm until you figure out what's wrong with your car, and you are not supposed to drive it with out horn ... ✌️
