@@GeneratorReviews Gavin - can you also tell them they need to release a wheel kit for their 10500i so we can retrofit 4 wheels? Predator already has 4 wheels and even then people don’t think it’s enough so there’s an aftermarket kit with bigger wheels to roll over grass and gravel, etc.
Gavin, thank you for the size comparison of these two GENMAX generators. I thought the 10,500 was large however next to the 17,000 it looks much smaller. Very nice to have a choice of either one to best align with the loads that I am going to run during a power outage.
Wonder when we should expect these to become available and at what cost? Also, will you do a follow-up please ... after a few hundred hours? Let us know if any kinks need to be worked out? Thank you GG (Generator Gavin) for these videos. As always, subscribed, bell rang, commented, liked, upvoted, shared .... may the algorithm gods continue to smile favorably upon your channel. PS: Any chance that one day you might do a video dedicated to EMP/Solar Flare proofing these Gens on Wheels? Grounding, enclosures, etc? Also, might two of these 10500s or 17000s be paralleled? Is there a kit available? Thanks again friend.
Yes, it does have the two wire start and that’s gonna be awesome, for inverters and remotes starting even though you have the remote control option it’s really nice to have the inverter control with AGS.
Hello Gavin appreciate all the review videos and information. I just have a quick question for you. When you hook up these generators to your whole home backup do you remove the bonded neutral and make it floating prior to hooking up the generator or do you use the generator as is out of the box? I have a bonded neutral 11,000 watt Westinghouse inverter and I’m trying to decide what to do. Thanks
@GeneratorReviews Would you recommend two 10500s in parallel, or one 17000 for a whole house backup setup? I plan to use NG, so will need to wait until the 17000 comes out in tri-fuel.
I would recommend the 17K. One generator to maintain even though most people will claim redundancy, I think you’ll be better off with one. I should have the tri fuel available in three months
Hello Galvin. I just learned something new today, floating and bonded neutral. Are all of portable and inverter gens are bonded neutal, if so do I need to change them to floating as I seen a few videos on youtube. Thank you.
WOW on the big boy Genmax! I'm wondering when Generac or Kohler will get off of their asses and kickout a inverter in the 17,000 or bigger size? We have the Generac GP 17,500 and simply love it for running our whole house. But if and when it comes time to replace it, we would love that option of a inverter in that same size or bigger from them or Kohler for comparison. I really am starting to like the DuroMax line of generators as well. Thank you for this video Gavin.
Been watching your series on these standby gens and I have a couple questions. What’s the longest you’ve ran your home off a standby Gen.? And second is related to natural gas consumption, what’s the delta between your normal home gas bill vs the monthly bill running off the trifuel Gen? I had a co worker with a 24k Generac running whole home during Hurricane ida for 3 weeks straight. The delta for his use case was $600 in NG fuel costs which equates to about $30 a day
The main difference between the portable whole home and a standby is that the portable inverter actually runs at a lower RPM (eco mode) saving on fuel cost, standby runs wide open throttle 24-7
Wow, the weight! Are you able to lift either of these by yourself? If not, do you have a recommendation of how to get these into and out of a truck bed?
Thanks for all your generator reviews Gavin. Why don't companies make Propane-ONLY portable inverter generators, with running watts higher than 5000 watts, for people that will never use gasoline? This would greatly reduce the generator weight and size by eliminating the large gasoline tank and at the same time optimize the efficiency.
Thanks for reply Gavin but do you have any idea why higher watt Propane-ONLY portable generators are not being made? ALP makes the 850 running watt model but that is not enough power for many users.
Genmax really needs to put 4 wheels on their generators instead of two, particularly for 10500 and up.
I will mention that for future updates.
@@GeneratorReviewspowered wheels😀
agreed. those are too heavy for only 2 wheels
@@GeneratorReviews Gavin - can you also tell them they need to release a wheel kit for their 10500i so we can retrofit 4 wheels?

Yes, Genmax has trouble with common sense.

Not sure why anyone would buy this with a 1 year warranty over the duromax with 5 year warranty.
They should match the warranty

GM17000 finally showing up on genmax webpage 👍👍
HEY GAVIN, DOES THE 17000 HAVE A TWO WIRE START?
HOW DOES IT PERFORM?

That 17k is a brute!!!
Good morning!
Good morning buddy😊

I know this is a dumb question but can the 17000 watt parallel with the 10500 watt? Asking for a friend
No the 17000 will not have parallel capabilities

Not all of them are bonded
Some actually come floating neutral
what are the watt numbers for the tri-fuel going to be....and ballpark on price? thanks
I will be updating specs on the tri fuel when I receive the sample generator
Gavin, thank you for the comparison on these units. What is the Natural Gas PSI requirements for the 10500?
Once again GREAT video Gavin!! 330lbs man, seems pretty heavy to maneuver around but @17000w what a monster
euver
nover around

I’m sure there is a calculation but any idea what the running watts will be on nat gas?
10,000
On NG it will be 12500 watts running
Thanks you rock
@@GeneratorReviews that's peak watts . So it would be 10000 running ?
Seeing the 10500 next to it makes it look like a baby
Hi do you have a store in the Houston area?
Yes I think we spoke over the phone 👍🏾

With the right equipment you can do it yourself but with help is recommended
How’s the micro air flex holding up?
It’s doing great 👍🏾
Gavin, is there a inverter generator that on natural gas running regular load that produces 8500 watts
The gm17000
What is the price for the unit? I would definitely consider this if it ran on natural gas.
$4799 Msrp
Great video, wish you would have started them so we could hear the difference!
Next time!

Hi Gavin, any word on when the 17,000 will be available for purchase.
I want to start preordering on Monday
Sounds good. I’m ready. What’s that “early bird special” price gonna be..
Do you know when the 17,000 will be for sale?
generator-superstore.com/product/genmax-gm17000ie-17000-starting-watts-and-14500-running-watts/
It’s on pre-order delivery should be mid next month
