Thank you Pak Gita for this podcast. As Malaysian, proud to have Tan Sri Azman who help to steer Khazanah during the turbulances years of Malaysia and this podcast is full of knowledge on Quran and implementation on finance and economics. We are still continue developing the i-Tekad and social financial program in Malaysia. And as AI practitioners, I was thinking how we can use AI to assist user on financial literacy, as Tan Sri Azman said, overconsumption on credit card, is a concern too.
We should also highlight the importance of developing moral, societal values (check & balance) as Tan Sri explained... This is extremely important for us to prioritise in character building, upholding principles & virtues as we move forward towards developing region 🙏🏽
Thank you Pak Gita. It takes me 3 days to finish the podcast as I need to be concentrated hearing two great minds discussing the great idea of elevating the nusantara. It's also a journey for my self discovery. What a great podcast. It would be on my top 10 list. Terima kasih Pak Gita & Tan Sri Azman.

Pak Gita punyai kemampuan untuk mencungkil khazanah idea dari TS Azman. Really enjoyed the podcast and special thanks for the great content. Congrats to both great and wise man.
The conversation between TS Azman and Pak Gita is indeed insightful and provides a much-needed intellectual boost. By basing it on religion and the purity of the Al-Quran, we can learn high discipline and good morals that can be applied to both business and life. TS Azman shared valuable experiences that reflect him as a scholar. As Malaysians, we are grateful to have such a visionary intellectual who looks towards a more advanced and developed future without forgetting the values and good ethics according to Islam. Congratulations to TS Azman for his contributions and wisdom
Wow. This is rare. Even in Malaysia, TS Azman did not get the necessary limelight. We know he headed Khazanah and what not, nothing much is known about him.
Azman Mokhtar reflects on the limitations of modeling economics purely like mathematics, emphasizing the importance of being adaptable and strategic in complex environments. Drawing from his upbringing in Malaysia, Azman shares his journey in education and leadership, notably transforming companies at Khazanah to create financial and societal value. He highlights Southeast Asia's rich history, moral values, and the need for inclusive development and governance rooted in trust and ethics. With a focus on regional unity and cultural heritage, Azman advocates for collective growth and adaptability in navigating global challenges. Question is how can ASEAN nations collectively leverage their historical and cultural strengths to foster inclusive economic development while balancing the challenges of globalization and internal disparities?

Pak Gita, one question I am asking you, what are the benefits for being a capitalist country like Indonesia? Can you imagine how poor a country is after the USD is being manipulated since 1960? For example, Indonesia - not my country. In 1969, 1 USD = Rp 7.5. Today, 1 USD = Rp 16,000. Indonesia GDP currently is USD 5,247/year per person. This mean in local currency, it is USD 5,247x Rp 16,000 = Rp 84 million/year/head. Now, if the USD is not being manipulated and 1 USD = Rp 7.5, Rp 84 million should be Rp 84 million/Rp 7.5 = USD 1.03 million/year Can you see now? Rp 84 million GDP only worths USD 5,247 rather than USD 1.03 million. Is it worth to be a capitalist country when you know the USD is always being manipulated by the USA? Rp 84 million is worth only USD 5,247 instead of USD 1.03 million. Do you know how hard it is to get Rp 84 million/year?

Pak Gita, one question I am asking you, what are the benefits for being a capitalist country like Indonesia?
Can you imagine how poor a country is after the USD is being manipulated since 1960?

Can you see now? Rp 84 million GDP only worths USD 5,247 rather than USD 1.03 million.
Is it worth to be a capitalist country when you know the USD is always being manipulated by the USA?
Rp 84 million is worth only USD 5,247 instead of USD 1.03 million.
Do you know how hard it is to get Rp 84 million/year?
another question is can we ever get justice for as long as we are under the Fractional Reserve banking system and USD as the global currency?

Pusing dgr inggisnya si malay.. mrmding ko cakap mlayu aja
He is using manglish
Thts bcoz ur english is bad or nil
It's Manglish, this is how some Malaysian talks, some will use proper Standard English(seldom).
I think Pak Gita decided to conduct this IV in English,so that it's easier for the audience(i.e some of Bahasa Malaysia words carries different meaning in Bahasa Indo)
Just my thought though.
I'm Malaysian btw,but I'm glad I found this channel(had learnt a lot from these IVs- and Pak Gita is a good interviewer(to me,I could see that he read a lot, like A LOT..
that's why he asked quality questions on the IV subject).
Kudos to him and thanks for making this free to watch as well.😊😊
@knisayusuf no such thing as manglish its ENGLISH just pronunciation isnt as native speaker
Focus on the substance of his contributions and merits of his idea. Hope you understand English regardless of how he speaks
I enjoyed the discussion between the two high-IQ individuals (both CFA charterholders). However, not many could grasp what transpired during the conversation because it included a lot of financial and economic jargon.
Will you interview Nazir Razak, sir? He's your friend as well, right?
I will never understand why Mahathir and his gang would ousted Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar from Khazanah.. 🥹🥹. Adored him so much
Part of his revenge towards Najib. He definitely overkill who ever works under najib.
