    Hello! Yamatanuki.This is a Japan-design lure. In 2021, Gary International introduced this in Japan. Then, early this year, Yamamoto Baits introduced this to the U.S. market. This is a great lure!

    gday waki, another great vid,thanks mate, these arent available in australia,so ive orderd some via tackle warehouse. cant wait to try them, probably in salt water 1st,then fresh water for our native yellowbelly, the sweetest tasting freshwater fish youll ever eat.....flesh is white and firm and delicious, usually use hard body lures,but i reckon these things will do the trick

    Man, you are so cool! Your content is awesome to watch and very relaxing. Glad you've gotten to enjoy fishing here in the states. My hope is one day to return to Japan and fish some fresh water bodies of water. I've been a huge Gary Yamamoto fan since I was a kid and my father showed me them for the first time. Really enjoying the new products and colors. Awesome to see some new baits.

    Been using the "Japanese way" of baitcasting and it is definitely more effortless and accurate. Thank you. 👍👍

    Just discover your channel! Nice find for me!
    I just bought some 2.5 Tanuki… and guess what is my BFS combo? Blazon Rod Light with Daiwa Alphas Air (but I have the more versatile, less pure BFS, SV TW 800S)!
    What line are you using with your setup?

      It's in the description!
      Line: Seaguar fluorocarbon R18 7lb

      My bad! I didn’t check the description. Thank you.
      Is R18 (JDM) the same as Tatsu in America? Or it’s a different line? If so, do you know the difference?

    Great video, Angler Waki! May I ask what size hook you use for the 2.5" Yamatanuki?

    • @AnglerWaki
      @AnglerWaki  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      #1/0 or #1. The lure is bulky. Maybe better to use a big wide-gap hook. Good luck.

      Some international online sellers might have it. Good luck!

      I regularly patrol The Hook Up Tackle and Tackle Warehouse. Hope they'll have more JDM. Good luck!

    What size hook were you using for the 2.5?

    • @AnglerWaki
      @AnglerWaki  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a wide gap #1 but may be better to use a bigger size. good luck

      He’s right. 1/0 is the “right” size (if this ever exist since there is no really wrong or right here). I’ve rigged it with 1/0, 1 and 2. 1/0 fits the best for me.
