Was not expecting the Bouncing Souls shirt wow 😮
I think I’ve repped them, Misfits, Teenage Bottlerocket and a few others in my videos.👍 #punk4life
@live2fishofficial dang I guess I wasn't paying attention! Thats awesome 👊
Good points about how to run the hook through! Those look grreeasyyyyy. I love em haha. I bet those would be awesome for snap jiggin!
Thanks Sask! I had to learn the hard way. Definitely have some more ideas for this versatile bait.
Awesome tutorial on how you use these. Just another softie that I wouldn't mind trying in saltwater. Might be a bust spring/summer trying things a bit different than the norm. Thanks for the tips Joe!
Appreciate it Larry! I’d love to see the results for you there.
Joe, everything that you put in St. Clair catches fish😂
Yamamoto Yamatanuki does pretty good down here Ohio also
True! Glad to hear it’s doing good in Ohio - very versatile bait for sure!
I have the 3.5, rigged with the 4 ewg hook and the durability was in question as soon as I inserted the hook. It had a hollow feeling and after a few casts, it was sliding down the hook. Could be user error so I'm going to keep working it and see what happens. Hard to outperform the senko though 🔥
Never tried thedookie😂 but looks like smallmouth candy that 2.5! Nice info Joe and great vid as usual!
Thanks Henry! Wish I’d have had the 2.5” early in the season for the smallmouth, but I’ll definitely be throwing them next year. The 3.5” definitely gets some good bites.
Appreciate the feedback and you checking it out!
Hey live to fish if they catch fish I'm not worried so much about the durability Yamamoto baits have always been not the most durable. But they catch a lot of fish . Thanks for the informative video and God bless you and your family.
My 3.5s are coming in the mail soon. You definitely need it weedless down here in Ohio
Fun
I finally got a pack to try! I didn't know they offer a smaller size already, so now I don't know what size I have lol. Looking forward to trying them out though!
The 3.5” shines for me on the 4/0 EWG. Weightless it punches mats and works great flipping too.
The 2.5” was a bit light to use weightless (use a 2/0 hook) for where I was fishing it, but when I decided to try it on the ned it was very productive.
Good luck and let me know what you think.
@@live2fishofficial will do! I checked, I have the bigger version. I'll use the 4/0 ewg and hopefully it works out like I think it will🙂👍
YUMatanuki 😂 I definitely like the 2.5” better. The 3.5 just looks to big to me. Great video of going over the different hooking techniques Joe👍.
Thanks Chris! I do love the bigger size for punching weeds, but that smaller one is going to be a LOT of fun next spring on the ned. Appreciate you checking it out!👍🎣
They look sweet. Havent fished them. If i had to pick i'd go 2.5. Im confident in the ned, I like the smaller profile and im not a fan of a ⅝ oz plastic alone.
Great advice with that side rigging techniche. Thanks for going over the practicalities of it as well with the durability, pack size and price. Great vid overall, love this style!
Thank you! I’ve been working with these a while to learn from my mistakes - so others won’t have to. They really are a versatile bait. I’m liking the 2.5” more, but have something in store for the 3.5”.
These both are awesome fishing baits. The only problem with them is that are really soft plastic baits. Try both ways of fishing them. You will be glad that you did.
I really love the versatility of this bait for sure. Thanks for watching!👍🎣
Twistlock style hooks should always be used and no EWG with Yamamoto.
Great advice! I bought twistlocks in bulk off of Amazon and use those on my hooks. They’re great to have as an add on because you con remove them on the fly and adjust your setups.
Huh i've just been running these on a #1 ewg hook texas rig.... never would of used it on a jig head or ned head. Temu has knock offs for about $2.90 but only in the 2.5 not the full.
I’ll have to try these on a smaller EWG as well. Are you throwing it weightless as well?
@@live2fishofficial Yes, the weight of the plastic seems to be plenty to get a good distance, it has a nice horizontal fall like a wacky rig.
Are they out on the market yet?
Yep! Links to the products are in the video description - you can also search for the sizes thru them as well 👍🎣
Been doing really well on the yamatanuki in 3.5 for largemouth. Saw the smaller version and plan on throwing this for smallmouth as well. Super interesting bait and it's different than what fish are used to. I get bit on every cast with the larger size it seems, small and big fish both eat it.
That they do! Showing them something they haven’t seen before can really trigger a reaction bite. Glad to see you’re having success with it - tight lines!👊💥🎣
