the questions were hard. one of the questions, all of the answers worked. But I thought the same, I haven't seen a cheeze made from tofu. It's usually cashews or something else, but not tofu
I don't know why this video hasn't been done yet and I've been requesting it for a long time, but ranking energy drinks. Maybe they can't do this kind of video because some of the participants on both the mamah and papah channels might have caffeine or other ingredient sensitivities.
How? Because we asians have been using it in savoury dishes for years before it was sought after as a meat substitute by the vegan community. Some of those factoids were off though, while we Indonesians and Malaysians use tempeh in some of our stir fry, it is not a meat substitute, it is it's own thing. The most common meat substitutes used for texture is seitan, which has been used as mock meats in Chinese culinary history. Tofu isn't fermented, it may look similar to how cheese is made but it is not fermented, merely pressed and then processed to it's many forms. And I usually see vegan cheese made from nuts, rarely tofu.
Tofu is not made with FERMENTED soybeans. It’s made with freshly soaked dried beans. I have watched them make it many times online. They do ferment it later for other dishes.
Im vegan and I was confused as well. I seen people be less open minded to using tempeh on their cooking. The restaurants I been to even use jack fruit much more than tempeh. Personally I like seitan much more
Fun video but the questions are so off lol. First question, you didn’t mention « in baking » so I assumed tofu as tofu scrambled. Second question, tofu, tempeh and seitan are all common. Also tofu is not fermented (tempeh is) and tofu isn’t really used to make cheese. They use more nuts, nutritional yeast and a starch
They're mixing it up they're having a rotating cast just like with The Mamahs. It makes it easier to film if somebody can't make it they have another one ready to review
Hope my channel grows like yours have! I Just started not too long ago. Made a surf & turf cheesesteak recipe the other day haha. Keep up the great content!
No he's still around He comes up to It just all depends they're doing like with Mamahs They're having a few more extras in so if they need the film they have more availability to make more videos when more are available
Whenever I got to my local taco spot, I always get nopales! A vegan version of tacos that are still traditional !
🔥
Okay but the real question is, where did you guys get all this vegan Mexican food! Drop the restaurant or the chef!

I love these guys so much. I seriously wish they were all my tíos. Me encanta el canal papah! :)
We don’t use tofu for cheese!! lol we use cashews
You may use cashews, but some vegan cheese is made with tofu/soybeans.

Tiktok recipes❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
The answer to question number 2 is definitely wrong. We use tofu WAY more than tempeh. I’ve never used tempeh in my stir fry.
I guess you speak for all...nice of you to have counted everyone's vote
It's right but not the only right answer. Seitan is also super common - some of the best vegan chorizo I've had is seitan.
@@StonerKitchen The answer being ONLY tempeh was wrong. Tofu is also very widely used as a ground meat alternative.
I've been vegan 15 years and always use tofu in my stir fries.

love the video.. hope one day we can see a video where they dont know they're eating vegan food until the very end
yes.
You guys gave me the incentive to try vegan Mexican food! Thanks! 💖
Me too. There's a vegan stand right down the street from me 👍
They should do a beer one !
never been this early before XD, looking forward to the video!
Thank you for doing a vegan episode -- but c'mon, tofu is more commonly used in stir fry than tempeh. Seriously.
Also, regular tofu is NOT fermented. There is tofu that is made and then also fermented, but tofu is not a fermented product -- it's coagulated.
Im vegan and I was confused as well. I seen people be less open minded to using tempeh on their cooking. The restaurants I been to even use jack fruit much more than tempeh. Personally I like seitan much more
Relax
True.
Love papahs! Thanks For this ❤❤❤❤
Yikes! The Ranch soda really was a punishment.

Donato’s philosophy on sopes is very reminiscent of Anthony Bourdain‘s philosophy on burgers and the importance of structural integrity.

Great video, not very factual tho! You need some vegans in your production team 😊
u shouldnt say whats in it BEFORE, just AFTER. we dont do that to meat eaters
