By April of 2022, the federal government will stop using the DUNS number to uniquely identify entities. At that point, entities doing business with the federal government will use a Unique Entity Identifier (SAM) created at
www.SAM.gov
If your entity is registered in SAM.gov today, your Unique Entity ID (SAM) has already been assigned and is viewable in SAM.gov.

I have a question with my dunns. I wanted to apply for anonymity for my LLC so I’m in a state that doesn’t disclose LLC info however for the Dunns I’m listed as principal. Obv it’s public info which defeats my purpose for anonymity smh. Should I list my registered agent as principal? I can’t find anything/ info on this on who I should list to maintain my anonymity. This was great and thorough info btw. Thank you so much!

Submit your paperwork and call them, take ownership of their customer service! We wait, we are at their peril. Make them your b*tch and follow up follow up follow up 🤣
How would you know if the type of business you have qualifies for business grants?
grants.gov is a free source and you can search all day long there. As long as something is applicable to you, you qualify. This could be women-owned, cultural/heritage based/ income based, there are tons of options you can explore
When I try to register it won't let me continue to validation. The arrow next is grayed out.
theres no way anyone can help if we don't know your exact entry and what you are missing. I would just start over or make sure you aren't missing anything you need to input still.
After double checking on duns profile mine is still not showing up, what am I supposed to do now

The information I enter is not matched with what they found. Then what to do?
Go back to your D&B profile and correct that first. Make sure it’s accurate
So if you don’t not already have a DUNS number can you not apply for a UEI
In the future, this will not be the case but that is how it works for now yes unfortunately. It looks like both numbers are still intertwined

Are you registered with D&B? The systems are linked for now and if there are flaws in the D&B profile then it will not work correctly.

@@danielleclark990 duns is still active and very much recognized worldwide, this is not related to Sam.gov anymore
Can undocumented get this number to start a business an get grants?
yes. this number is for your business. As long as you get a free EIN for your business this works just fine.
